LW kicked off his 24th season with a tribute to the big bands. Dating back to the late 50s, this was a common theme. Most of the famous organizations get represented, and the band does a good job. Once again the Otwells and Aldridges are unable to come up with an appropriate song.
The 2004 wrap around is hosted by Johnny Zell, who does a good job, despite the amount of self- and family-promoting. He refrains from playing much during the breaks, unlike Ralna. The show itself is replayed pretty often, which is common for certain programs.
The age of the wrap around is reflected in the announcement of Henry Cuesta's death (2003). With the passing os most of the band, there's little chance of new wrap arounds ever being produced. No guest stars available anymore.
