Wow

This is one of the most powerful pieces of tv I have seen in a long time. Well done to the cast and crew in dealing with such a difficult subject in such a controlled and sensitive way.

The Best Episode of SWAT for season 2 thus far!
reddogzslick204 January 2019
I enjoy the show but recently some season 2 episodes have been very weak with content! Some of the writing has been subpar to say the least this second season however this one felt true more of first season scripts where about actions on the screen not subtle things everyone seems to faces in today's world! This is not a criticism of writing of those episodes but those just did not make same impact on this viewer thought process as previously mentioned earlier esipodes from this season! Flashbacks can add a lot to the current storylines and seeing characters from back the day before SWAT adds to creating better storyline for future episodes

This is one if the best TV episodes of all time. The presentation just pulls you into episode and by the end someone was cutting onions while I watched.

Highest Rated Episode
wrenleung15 April 2022
I can see why this is one of their highest rated episodes, if not the highest. It was so hard to watch and I ugly-cried. It was also a treat to see flashbacks of Buck in action.

I have just watched this episode dealing with this tragic storyline. My heart goes out to anyone who has experienced this. Please watch to the end as this has unique way of turning into a public service announcement complete with 23 page School Safety QR download direct to your phone.

Sad to say this is true to life
confidential-678974 January 2019
It's a sorry state of affairs that just by living in America there is a strong chance that you or your children will be involved in a mass shooting.

Best episode so far!
pryncess-4375911 March 2022
This has been the most emotional episode of season 1 and 2.

Unfortunately school shootings happen and It's a reality for the US. SWAT did an excellent job of portraying it.

A good SWAT episode in a long time!

A decent take on school shooting. This episode gives good tangential back story arc on some of the important characters of the series.

WORST EPISODE
nicole-ahles116 January 2019
This episode had so many glaring contradictions, cliches & inaccuracies that it made my blood boil. And unless you've ever experienced a real school shooting, you could never imagine how wrong this whole episode was. I hate that experience gives me a real-life perspective on this topic. Yes, school gun violence is a very real & heartbreaking issue, but this paints no picture of reality. I'm disappointed the writers and producers couldn't take the time to learn how to tell a story that could be true to life.

Powerful Episode
ondullea-335613 October 2023
I was balling my wires out by the end of this episode. The way the writers set it up, flashbacks, to the way we saw the aftermath was powerful. As a teacher, this is my worst nightmare and I usually hate episodes like this because they are over dramatic, or they try and make you sympathize with the killers. The way they wrote the episode was respectful, impactful, and honest.

I wanted to shut the episode of at several points but couldn't. They had us see many points of view, police, students, and parents. Then they showed the painful aftermath these attacks do without going too deep into the gore.

Highly recommend watching this episode.

Perfect introduction episode
markusretsam28 March 2022
If you want to introduce S. W. A. T to somebody, this episode is perfect. This episode feels A LOT heavier (which is understandable) than any other episode that I've seen.

Powerful episode, but...
nofikaw13 July 2023
During the PSA at the end, there was a distinct lack of citing a need for gun reform. I understand that there is a reluctance to promote non-proliferation of firearms in general, but at least they should have given some spotlight for the need to create laws requiring safety training, for them to be properly secured, raising the minimum age for purchase (at least for certain types... I know everybody's thinking of a model right now), and magazine size restrictions.

This is common sense legislation that saves lives.

And if we're going to claim "it's all about mental health", how 'bout funding some treatment for it?
