Voices That Bring Anime to Life: Celebrating the Best Anime Voice Actors of All Time ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Japan takes its anime voice actors very seriously to the point where they have special voice acting academies and schools to train them to master their art completely. This is exactly why these professionals are so versatile and have such natural, golden voices. In fact, a large number of avid anime fans prefer watching anime subs rather than anime dubs exactly because of this. Some Dub actors tend to exaggerate and overact as a way to compensate for the inconsistency in translations and syncing. Native voice actors retain the ‘authenticity’ that dubs lack.
The authenticity of the subs is attributed to the voice actors’ talent and how natural they are with their jobs. Here are some of the best Japanese anime voice actors of all time.

With news of another streaming service raising its prices coming out seemingly every other week, it is rare that one gives money back to its users. That is the case this week as the worldwide anime streamer Crunchyroll has reportedly reached a settlement in a class-action lawsuit that alleges that the platform violated data privacy rules. As a result of the deal, some Crunchyroll customers are eligible to receive $30 from the company.
Crunchyroll users are able to claim $30 from the streamer. Parent company Sony allegedly shared individual customer viewing data with third-party sites. Claims must be submitted by Dec. 12, 2023. 14-Day Free Trial $7.99+ / month crunchyroll.com
Anyone in the United States who used Crunchyroll from Sept. 8, 2020 to Sept. 20, 2023 is potentially eligible for the payout. The $30 per person settlement is due to the fact that Crunchyroll’s parent company Sony shared the individual viewing data of customers with third-party sites and advertisers without their express consent.

Trigun Stampede Episode 1
“I’m really not much of a fighter….”
There are endless anime series that feature hyperbolized action and aloof heroes, but Trigun is a very special piece of ’90s action anime that the genre remains incredibly indebted towards. Trigun’s stamp remains on many series, yet it’s fallen into obscurity over the past few decades. For many anime fans in the 1990s, Trigun was synonymous with genre-bending western gunplay just like how Cowboy Bebop was for bounty hunter space operas. The prospect of a Trigun remake/reboot that introduces a new generation of audiences to Vash the Stampede’s heroic adventures seems like a no-brainer. However, in the decades that have passed since Trigun’s conclusion, action anime have evolved in bold ways and it’s...

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is a remarkably popular series. The manga of the same name currently has over 150 million copies in circulation, and the television anime adaptation, created by anime juggernauts Ufotable, is listed among IGN's best anime series of all time despite only having premiered in 2019. The show resonates profoundly on multiple levels as it tracks hero Tanjiro Kamado and his quest to vanquish Kibutsuji, the demon responsible for turning his sister, Nezuko, into one of the same.
The conventional shōnen elements are all there. Tanjiro, for his part, is unequivocally good. Yet, the way the show merges familiar elements into something wholly unique and resonant is unmatched. Its most recent season, the "Entertainment District" arc, ended wonderfully, and with a forthcoming third season on the way, fans are likely as eager as ever to find something to mind the gap. As we have mentioned in the review of the first season, “Fire Force” was a rather impressive anime audiovisually, which did not have much to offer, however, in terms of narrative originality, essentially following all the rules of the shonen category. The second season, with a different director in the helm, Tatsumi Minakawa, who replaced Yuki Yase, manages to move significantly forward however, particularly by focusing more intently on individual characters, and by expanding on the conspiracy theory that had started to be unveiled in the first season.

After 15 years and a humongous impact in the industry, “Naruto” (and Shippuuden) finished in 2017 and with it an era that defined and still continues to define the shonen action genre in anime, a style that begun with “Dragonball” and “One Piece” and was cemented with the adventures of the young ninja and “Bleach”. Many similar, to the point of identical titles were released during and after “Naruto” ended, in essence giving a narrative identity to the category that looked annoyingly like this
Furthermore, after a point, and during a period that the whole anime industry declined, intense elements of fanservice were added to the regular themes of the-underdog-becoming-all-powerful-through-consecutive-level-ups, the training, the tournaments, the rivalry of two very similar characters, slapstick comedy etc to the aforementioned, while all the faults of the category remained. As we have mentioned many times before, shonen titles are found in abundance in the anime industry, with most of them following the pattern of “Dragonball”, “Bleach” and “Naruto”, which, in essence, and with a healthy dose of cynicism, is this one.
The result is that many of them look and function in very similar ways, with very few exceptions, which we will deal with in a separate article. “Fire Force” may be quite well produced, but in terms of narrative, does not stray particularly away.
The Great Disaster is an event that happened two hundred and fifty years before Year 198, with the world mostly consumed in flames, many nations destroyed, and most of the planet rendered uninhabitable. The survivors took refuge in the Tokyo Empire, which remained mostly stable during the period despite losing some of its landmass. The Tokyo Emperor Raffles I establishes the faith of the Holy...

All cinema is wonderful, but there’s a certain wonder that’s only possible through animation. We have almost grown numb to how realistic computer-graphic animation has advanced, but there are few things akin to the experience of being transported to a dreamworld that lets its colors wash over and swallow you whole. Similarly, anime has reached some staggering heights of what’s possible through traditional animation, and in many ways Promare sets a new standard in that area, delivering visuals that will be discussed for years and strive to be matched and surpassed.
