This episode was so promising and was going so so well with some v important progression and character development.
But then they ruined it bc Jane made the absolute wrong decision that makes zero sense and I am absolutely distraught and sick of this.

Glad Jane realized she loves Raphael. Always seems Raphael is in rollercoaster relationship.
To me the show ended on the last minute of this episode. And it's not about being #TeamMichael or #TeamRafael, it's about how Jane's final decision was utterly untrue to her nature. It is like they abducted her and replaced with a totally different person. She is an incurable romantic for Christ's sake, and would never EVER dismiss the love of her life like that, like he meant nothing anymore. There was no closure AT ALL, so really: what was the whole purpose of bringing Michael back from the dead?! And yes, people do change - but not their essence. Not to mention the absolute lack of chemistry between Rafael and Jane that befalls since 1st season. And note that I am a Justin Baldoni fan, though that doesn't change the fact that Jafael is just... blah!
I don't think ever in my life as a series fan I had become so frustrated with a show. It is completely ruined to me. I stopped at episode 16 and won't even watch the remaining 3 episodes tbh. And I would unwatch this season if I could. Such a pity.

The show is full of bad writing in this season. It feels like they forgot what the main core of it was about. The memory of one of the most important characters is ruined. Why bringing Michael back and don't use it at all or actually using it just to get some disappointed fans back to raise the number of the show... And suddenly every other character just doesn't make sense as being, without that being explained as an evolution of them... That is what I call bad writing with not any base and care in the dramaturgy.

Jane realizing she loved Rafael was the best thing of this episode and this season. I loved them so much

I don't really care much about Michael's return to begin with, but Chapter 88 brings this already poorly written storyline to its lowest point. It is awfully paced and thoroughly uninspired. The most notable moment of the episode is a scene with Jane trying (and failing) to take a shower with a bucket. Yes, it's that bad. Honestly, the only positive is that it brings this whole lame arc to a close.
