This Show Is out of this world! The Anglo world is missing out Big time!

Wow, wow, wow! What can I say? Some Spanish soup operas are truly engaging and well written. PACTO DE SANGRE is one of the BEST tv series I have ever seen...Every episode gets better and better and that's so hard to achieve. Many series start very strong , but the lose momentum and the decline begin...But this isn't the case with Pacto de Sangre. Being bilingual and able to enjoy the best from both worlds I can openly say that this particular tv show puts to shame our Anglo Soap operas. Pacto de Sangre would ve won a few EMMY AWARDS if it was an "AMERICAN" Production. Such a pity we only watch "AMERICAN"/ "BRITISH" tv...We are missing out BIG time! The story, the actors and their craft are simply outstanding. I have genuinely never watched such an engaging show. I give PACTO DE SANGE A 100 OUT OF A 10! AAA++ Most Highly recommended!!!

This is one of the best series ever

Pacto de Sangre is one of those series that is a must see. Very proud of the excellent Chilean production, there is nothing to envy to the Brazilian and Turkish novels/series. Great performances, such as Nestor Castillana, Ignacia Baeza and Tamara Acosta, great script, great team work. Everything is jointly well armed. Nothing is left to chance. This series deserves to be seen all over the world. It deserves to be seen on Netflix.

Daring!

Quite a surprise at the time, it is evident that the production played all the cards, and for good, unexpected the freedom that canal 13 allowed the production, something worthy of applauding.

The direction of Cristian Mason is exceptional and with a unique personality, and above all, the script work is really careful, Catalina Calcagni and company develop an exceptional work, with complex and unforgettable characters, special mention to Ignacia Baeza and Nestor Cantillna, they stole the TV series.

However, a perfect series does not appear, there are a couple of factors that did not convince me, the story of the serial killer, despite being more than good, in my opinion it takes a bit of the suspense. And above all, the final chapter, which was most mediocre and gratuit, a gigantic disappointment.

(by the way, score 1 to the edition of canal 13 for the last microchapters, which partially killed the intensity)

However, I consider that these errors do not completely tarnish the quality of the story, and it will be remembered for it, since this time, the virtues of 'Pacto de Sangre' completely outweigh its shortcomings.

Highly recommended.

Good exponent of Chilean works

The plot is good and the performances are quite enjoyable, I hope it gets to netflix because it surpasses many of the blockbuster productions of that platform. It would be great if other Chilean productions had this level.

Good but overvalued

The TV Series is good, but VERY overvalued by its fans, many chapters were very slow and NOTHING happened, I think there are much better Chilean TV series like "El Señor de la Querencia", "Machos", "Cerro Alegre", among other. Their fans also overvalue Netflix, always saying that the series is perfect for Netflix, but Netflix is not synonymous of quality. In addition the scenery is one of the worst of Channel 13 of the last decade. I highlight the great performances of Ignacia Baeza and Néstor Cantillana, and the return to the direction of Cristián Mason. 6/10

This is a very cheap drama and it shows.

It is strange to see such a high score for this TV show. If it can be called a TV show at all. I watched an interview with the creator of the series and he was making the comparison to big international names saying it was a step forward for Chilean dramas. It is not. At all.

I am not a stranger to Chilean soap operas (or soap operas in general) as well as international TV shows. The first mistake on this TV show lies on its overall tone, it is trying to set itself as a "dark" production, with themes of murder but it fails by constantly adding the typical cheesy scenes of romance and comedy common in Chilean soap operas (that derive from their brazilian counterparts, though most of the times brazilians do it right). As if this wasn't bad enough already, the story is incredibly predictable and adds nothing to the table, it's not subversive enough. It tries to paint the character portrayed by Álvaro Espinoza as a psychopath but not only does the actor absolutely falls flat in terms of his range but the relationships he has with other characters, the situations he gets in and the way the character is presented do not give off any eerie feelings at all. Compare this to the way "Mindhunter" the Netflix production does it, a difference as clear as day and night. Even other shows like "Dexter" do it much better.

Now, I have already touched on the acting, I want to congratulate Ignacia Baeza for being the best performer on the show. Her character, the wife of the so-called psychopath presents a good transformation (that comes a little too quickly considering the duration of the show, which is around 100 fourty minute episodes). It is refreshing to see her acting when surrounding her everything feels extremely cheap. Nestor Cantillana puts on a decent show. And some of the young actors are fine as well. The rest of the cast, specially the main male cast cannot convey the tone and seriousness of the scenes with their overly exaggerated representations. One glaring example of this is Tamara Acosta, she has absolutely no range whatsoever and it is so disappointing to see after her very good performance on "Los 80", which I might add, was much better than this one. I was extremely disappointed to see her acting in this and it might just show how tiring shooting something like this must be. It's not for everyone, it's most definitely not for her. In any case most good chileans actors are now a days working out of the country or in the film industry.

As the series finishes there are some scenes that are borderline comedic in their direction, a slow motion gun shot? Several times? Watching one of the worst actors on the cast trying to pull "i'm being shot" faces in slow motion is simply ridiculous. If you can catch this scene on youtube you will get an idea on how bad this soap opera was.

It's not worth anyone's time, really.
