Exclusive: Cathy Payne, former head of Endemol Shine International, is set to head Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians production group, we have learned.
Deadline understands that the move will see Tim Mutimer, who is Head of Distribution at Banijay Group and CEO of Banijay Rights, exit the role.
The move is somewhat of a surprise given that Payne revealed in October 2019 that she was stepping down as CEO of Endemol Shine International, two weeks before Banijay’s $2.2Bn takeover of Peaky Blinders and Big Brother production group Endemol Shine was announced. The mega-acquisition is expected to close at some point over the summer.
Payne has had a nearly thirty year affiliation with Endemol and its subsidiaries; she was CEO of Endemol Shine International since 2015 and before that she was CEO of Endemol Worldwide Distribution since 2009 and CEO of Southern Star International when it was acquired by Endemol.

Sharon Levy is on a roll. For two years in a row, Endemol Shine North America — where Levy serves as president of unscripted and scripted programming — has been a part of the top-rated new show in primetime.
This year, it’s “Lego Masters,” which is averaging a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49 in Live+7 ratings. Last year, it was “The Masked Singer,” the top-rated reality show of the last seven years. (Both shows air on Fox; Endemol Shine is no longer involved in “Masked Singer.”) Besides “Lego Masters,” in recent weeks Endemol Shine has also produced revivals of two major unscripted franchises: “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” for Hgtv and “The Biggest Loser” at USA.
“Overall it’s been a really rewarding two years,” said Levy, who arrived at Endemol Shine in 2017 after 12 years at Spike TV (which was later morphed into Paramount Network).

CinemaWhile some say it is for business reasons, others believe it is to bring in more variety into the industry.Anjana ShekarIn Mohanlal’s Malayalam thriller Big Brother, actor Arbaaz Khan, best known for his role in the Hindi film Dabangg (a film that he also produced) played Vedantham Ips. In his blockbuster Lucifer, it was Vivek Oberoi who was the villain challenging him. In Vijay’s Tamil film Bigil that released last year, actor Jackie Shroff played Jk Sharma, President of the All India Football Federation. In the Telugu film Vinaya Vidheya Rama, actor Vivek Oberoi played Raja Bhai Munna, Bihari Kingpin. Over the years, south Indian cinema has imported many Bollywood stars to act as the villain for many reasons. Take, for instance, Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero in which Abhay Deol played Mahadev, a corrupt “corporate monster” who lobotomises young students for coming up with cool inventions. Abhay, who...

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…if I’ve ever offended any-one on here with these reviews, then I apologize. I get carried away with the jokes and all that often enough. I read through a few of my reviews a bit ago and I can be a bit much. If I ever say anything too wild, just remember that these are just free-wheelin’ shots in the dark. I enjoy reviewing the matches (even when some of them are disappointing). That’s about all I want of that touchy-feely crap. Alright, it’s wrestling time.
Best Moment:
Memphis Gets Its Due (All Elite Wrestling) – Aew had a great segment where numerous icons of the Memphis wrestling scene were honored for their great careers. This was a very touching tribute to that piece of...

Davos, Switzerland — I ran into a global icon outside Davos yesterday. I recognized him by his trademark orange mop of hair and yellow jumpsuit. He stood not too far from blond men with skis slung on their shoulders heading toward a train station decorated with graffiti reading “Eat the Rich.” Other men and women surrounded him in varying degrees of greasepaint. Perhaps sensing a change in the political climate, he turned against his own people.
“My name is Ronald McDonald,” said the man. “I was working for McDonald’s, but because...
