Mediocre acting and a plot that is boring. People sitting around talking for most of the movie. The "monster" does not even appear until the end, and the "plot twist" is ridiculous and pointless. Nothing in the movie gave a clue to the plot twist, and it is absolutely unlikely given the characters. Lots of water, lots of stupid dialogue, and terrible writing. Amateurish.

Watched the first 30 minutes, skimmed the rest and felt robbed of my earthly time.
Not scary, so so acting. Not completely wooden but close.
Special effects are low budget to none at all, boring from first 5 minutes.
Biggest issue is that it is boring. Never cared for any of the characters.
Feels like a play more than a movie.

"This place is messing with my mind". I'm not surprised. Most places in terror flicks promote that shtick.
Anyway 2022's Deep Hatred has a pretty creepy opening scene. My jaw kinda dropped. I mean a guy is beaten to death with a hammer, hooded, and then thrown into a lake. "Hatred" never maintains that intensity or mystery throughout the next 70 minutes or so. Added to that, the opening clip just mentioned seems like a confusing prelude for what's to come.
Deep Hatred for me is just another cursory horror film, a sort of dog and pony show that you've seen countless times in the past. Two couples return to a family home that is haunted and moldy (ha ha). There's a jump scare or two, some blood, some possession, some spooky stick figures, no cell signal in the middle of nowhere, and no one can leave said home. Basically you have to imagine a boring, anemic version of The Blair Witch Project.
"Hatred" is directed by two people (Daniela Carvalho, Ale McHaddo). Did they need two people? Uh no. These guys fashion an almost PG-13 rated scarefest that omits any real tension or strain, a real tease if you will. Carvalho and McHaddo try to make up for their shortcomings with a surprise ending done in flashbacks. Sigh. Said ending is more of an inserted gimmick that doesn't answer for everything sluggish that came before it.
Endings and surprise twists begot, the unknown actors involved (Sara Drust, Jeremy Sless, Evan Judson) strain with the recycled, napkin screenplay too. You can only say, "we gotta get out of here" or "I'm getting out of here" so many times. All in all, Deep Hatred is an interesting title for what I just saw. Probably not. Well there's painful dialogue in abundance and sometimes a figure lurking in the background. It's a standard cheesy run of the mill 80s horror except you gotta wait right till the end for anything to happen. May have lost 20 IQ points watching this. Proceed with caution.

The scenery is really beautiful.
But that's all.
The story is in 3 lines and after 10 minutes we understood everything that will happen.
The dialogues are so bland that absolutely no emotion comes out.
To finish with the worst, the actors are so bad that they throw you out of the story as soon as they open their mouth. Their acting is so exaggerated that it becomes grotesque. Even the way they walk is not believable.
I don't want to know who choose them, but I hope this one goes and refunds the tickets of the spectators himself.
Such a shame.

You really need to stay away from this one. I guess if you can tolerate every actor and actress you will see on the screen being horrible at acting. It was hard to pay attention to the story with such annoying actors to look at.

Fisrt 24 minutes of thg movies was not ss great,I'm mean this guy Mark the boyfriend of blondie girl is acting very unnaturally and very wierd facial expression and most of the time blind and either he hasn't seen the blood in front of his face twice either he forgeting to say something about it.
In big words I wouldn't recommand this movie it has a low budget when it is coming about everything that is happening in this movie and I don't want to talk about the camera movement that is always in a bad angle and not reveling most of the details.
And about the scary part isn't as well very clever beeing present only clichés.

First off, I worked with jeramy Sless many years ago and had the best time with him. He is a great person, extraordinary actor and put his heart and soul and every character he plays. What a surprise it was to me when I started playing this movie and saw him on the screen. I really enjoyed this film, The setting, the acting, and storyline was well done! 10 out of 10 from me!

Ok nice setting, some sort of a movie about an old cult. The only part I understood was the very first 5 minutes. Pretty leading ladies, some talent but raw talent. The casting of the boyfriends I don't know who did this casting.
A story but not a story that was at all put together. It kind of had a bunch of stories that could have potentially be spun together and joined it up, but alas it failed to do so. In so many ways. Then add in two nutty neighbors, one Beth just off the charts. But I guess at least she played her role well or at least I hope so.
So a few startlingly moments but NOT jump scares. Over all just a waste of time and that's unfortunate because it really had potential in a few different stories. Please do not bother.

Low-budget horror flick, apparently coming from Brazil according to IMDb, but very decent for what it is, especially when taken with a grain of salt. Acting, writing, storytelling, directing, all decent enough to keep watchers going until the end. The eye-appealing cinematography and well-produced soundtrack take the cake. Not particularly scary by any right, but it contains some slow-burning suspense. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

I am going to try to keep this as short as possible. I'm sure all of the people involved in this production put their all into it and there is no use harping on the negative... albeit, that does not exempt it from critique.
Unfortunately, this movie was unsuccessful on most fronts. I almost turned it off within the first five minutes because it was blatant that the quality of the script and the acting abilities of the entire cast were just not up to par and that persisted throughout the entire movie. On both fronts, they were wooden, stilted and filled with cliches.
The story was somehow very lack luster and yet convoluted at the same time. At its core, I think it could have been an interesting premise, but it didn't even come close to accomplishing that. Truly, at no point did I feel scared, tense or anxious throughout (not even the jump scares) and don't even get me started on the ending... like, what?
Technically this didn't shine either. The shots were clunky, the lighting was off, someone wasn't great at fanning that fog machine lol and that ADR... idk what that was about but something must have gone awfully wrong.
Positively, there was light potential premise wise, the "bad guy" looked pretty spooky and they had a fantastic filming location.
At the end of the day, without any condescension, I hope this was a great opportunity and a solid learning experience for everyone involved. Unfortunately, it just didn't land on the side of entertaining. Would not recommend.

The pacing of this horror flick is decent,but I feel like some details were muddied and/or rushed in right before the climax. As soon as I knew what was going on,it was over. The beginning clip did at least help bring some context to it to keep me invested. I was glad I stuck around because I really enjoyed the ending.

Let's start with something positive: the film looks good and the cinematography is more than competent. That said...
The actors are not to blame, especially given the terrible characters and dialog they were given, for "Deep Hatred", A more appropriate title would have been "Goofus & Gallant: The Horror Movie"
Gallant fixes the flat tire while Goofus flirts with his girlfriend.
Gallant & GF worry about the moldy smell of the house while Goofus & GF jump into a clean-as-whistle pool at an abandoned house.
Gallant hugs his girlfriend while Goofus has sex in the pool.
Gallant cleans the house while Goofus has sex with his GF.
Gallant investigations the spookiness of the house while Goofus surreptitiously and salaciously snaps pool pics of Gallant's GF (who is Goofus' childhood friend).
Gallant's GF is blonde and wears white while Goofus's GF is raven-haired and wears black (and talks FOREIGN-y!).
Gallant has brought a ring with which to propose to his not-longtime GF, while Goofus derides the ring and his intention, unaware that HIS long-time girlfriend has decided HE is overdue to propose.
Somewhere during all of this, the Elder Couple visits and gives them a Mysterious Warning not to go out at night (close up on hedonistic couple). "What do you mean?" -- "Bye, kids!"
There are spooky stickman not-scarecrows all about, giving the impression they are at The Blair Witch's summer place.
Wait, was that something in the bathroom mirror behind her?! Is there a person under those crumpled bedsheets? Does The Water contain Evil?
There's more, but you get the idea. If AIs start being used to write horror movies, films like "Deep Hatred" will be the cause, since it already seemed composed entirely of algorithmically compiled tropes.

Cindy (Sara Drust) inherits the commune home of her father. She travels there to go through the documents. Her boyfriend Mark (Jeremy Sless) drives her there as well as Nathan (Evan Judson) a childhood friend who lived nearby and his girlfriend Jennifer (Marcella Marques). The film opens showing us a man being drowned in a nearby lake wrapped in a chain. The neighbors stop by and warn them not to go out at night. Right away things happen as we see water on the floor, hear chains rattle, and see a figure walk in the halls. Mark finds a a chained up doll and frees it and things escalate as we start a body count.
We have a basic idea what is going on and it is explained in greater detail later. Marcella Marques is a flawless Brazilian beauty who was Miss Brasil Global City 2018. They drive a Mustang with a Georgia plate. They list the home for sale with a 730 area code which is Southern, Ill. The characters were not well scripted and the very end didn't make any sense. The build up and story line were good as was the scares.

Apparently, DEEP HATRED was made in Brazil, but they're trying to pass the rural area to look like Southern USA. For the most part, it works. The deep forests, rundown farms, and muddy lake make for a great place to stage a horror movie.
