Amazing story and animation

The story doesn't seem that interesting at the start but it gets really interesting as it goes on.Especially the back stories and how they have been narrated is great. The animation is really good and the fight scenes are great. Overall it is an interesting anime to watch if like to watch action with a great story

1st half goodish, 2nd half great

I finished it this weekend, all 36 eps. of it. Now, this is a good anime, even though the 1st half of it is more like a 7/10 because it's a bit sophisticated but also dumb. The main blue haired, blue-eyed young woman protagonist is seen everywhere, like there's 3 or 4 of them and you just don't know why! There was even one episode where I FF through most of it, but then, as you go past the middle and into the 2nd part of the anime, it's worth the wait.

Everything clears up and goes right there with the best of them - a 9/10 - classic japonese well-drawn shounen drama, that has even some inspired writing, especially dialogue-wise. I always considered anime lacking in dialogue quality but not in the 2nd part of this one! You get nice graphics, decent fights, more than one tear upon occasion, overall it's good enough to be recommended. So recommended.

How can one cry for flesh grinding, blood sucking automatons/machines? They start out so disgusting, cold and idiotic, but finish out being just as sorrowful and keen for embetterment as any human; just like children given the wrong education/programming.

Want an anime that's action packed and a well executed storyline? Then look no further than karakuri circus. I've been watching this anime for about a week now and it has me hooked. The puppets are very creative and some are quite spooky (if you don't like dolls), think of Annabelle in an action movie. It's been a while since I've watched a good anime and I watch them by the bucket load. When overlord and my hero academy ended their 3rd season I was looking for a replacement to tide me over until their return.. and boy does this one deliver. I hope this gets more viewers because its one great anime.

Layers upon layers.

This anime series is one of the most interesting I have encountered in a long time. It, of course, suffers from all the usual "failings" of the genre, i. e. overacting and a significant distance from reality, etc., etc., but those are in actuality a part of the charm. However, the artwork is superior. There are almost too many characters to count and each one is extraordinarily well thought out and very detailed. They have to be because they are quite bizarre. The cast of characters is made up of humans and puppets and others who appear to be somewhere in-between, sort of cyborgs but not exactly. The story basically revolves around a young boy who is suddenly thrust into this world and finds himself fighting for survival without knowing any of the rules or reasons for what is going on. It is also a story of his maturation. To further complicate the story, the narrative fragments a good deal. If you remember the film The Saragossa Manuscript, a Polish film from 1965, a man finds a manuscript that tells the adventures of the writer. Part way into that story another man begins relating another narrative. Part way into that story another man begins relating another narrative, and so-on and so-on, until at one point I think I was trying to follow six or seven different narratives. This anime does not get that complicated but suffice it to say, there are layers upon layers of story. Add to this confusion the twist that the different characters in the different narratives look alike and you will understand that watching this series is challenging. Challenging but worth it. The following is not a spoiler. At the very end the entire cast of charact6ers appear on-screen in a magnificent curtain call. Then in the final image there is an empty circus ring, and as the lights dim you hear the "click" of the lights being turned out. Clever!

I know the first 12 episodes are quite boring but after EP 28 I really started loving this anime caz it has a lot of deaths but every death touched my heart ! Every death is a masterpiece ! But yeah the ending was not satisfying 🙄🙄 and it has good animation but not as good if we will compare it to 2018 but still it's has awesome story and super crying scenes !! So it's worth of 10 stars if you are willing to watch it so go and watch it's some of the most finest and best anime you will ever see!!

I can't get where story going

The Story in first episode is look good but after introduction of automata it mess up hard what part is big part of it. And thing go that you don't know, like how sirogane separate from child which she suppose to protect. It also original I guessing there is no vision form start. So they made thing on spot and probably they even know what happen next.

A quite fast pace anime with good storyline and high possiblity. A lot of mysteries surrounding and have strong lead character. Make you want to reaf the manga 1st to understand more about the story.

This was such a great series. Watch the 36 episodes in like 3 or 4 days. All the characters were really cool. It was sad to see most of the main good guys die. It was even sadder to see the bad guys who turned from their ways die sacrificially.some of them made me want to tear up a bit. Any ways def became one of my favorite series. Gonna look to buy it now.

After the first 10 episodes, I was literally in love with this anime. The way how beautifully the anime changes their moments from a simpler to complicated one.... And the history it follows I mean wow.

This anime include everything: action,drama,creepy, romantic. Maybe it seems weird but the beginning was an introduction starting with weak enemies to stronger and stronger, the story of Francine, the justifiaction why it happened makes sense, love is a true treasure of the story, else it wouldn't happen. Puppets learning what's love, happiness, kind are sacrificing for the people, Heroes that they seem losing but they win.

This anime had everything a kid would like to see: heroes, power, battles, happy endings,kindness,etc.

The puppets show how cruel the world can be, Narumi shows that everytime you have to smile, dying smiling.
