That was one powerful drama, an hour of TV drama, which felt uncomfortably true to life. Fair play to The BBC and writers for giving us a story on drugs, spice and fentanyl in particular, the scourge of many a community.
The episode focused almost entirely on the gritty drama, with very little time given to The Lyell Centre regulars, possible last week's format will be repeated, with the concluding episode allowing more time for them.
I thought the guest performers were terrific, Colin Salmon in particular, a tremendous actor, with as much screen as physical presence, he was superb, and I'm sure will have a large part tomorrow. Great to see Samantha Womack, toying with Jack, and of course Radoslaw Kaim, a very good actor indeed who seems to pop up in favourite shows, did a great job of making the audience despise Rudi.
Timothy Prager's script was excellent, very relevant, the opening scenes were totally captivating, and harrowing. Only one criticism, Thomas's rant about legalising marijuana, time and place BBC.
Can't wait for the next episode. 9/10
