Captain Liam Shaw [Todd Stashwick] went from being a disliked captain who opposed Admiral Picard [Patrick Stewart] and Captain Riker [Jonathan Frakes] at every move and refused to acknowledge Seven of Nine {Jeri Ryan} by her preferred name. He was sarcastic and cold and didn't endear himself to any fans...at first. Over the course of the brief season of Star Trek: Picard, Shaw was redeemed and even handed over the reins of the Titan to Seven of Nine and recommended her to be promoted to captain. His redemption arc was well-played in so few episodes. Unfortunately, Captain Shaw was killed before the season ended, and while Terry Matalas and Stashwick have discussed ways to bring the captain back, it looks like it won't happen unless Star Trek: Legacy gets greenlit.
But there are other ways the franchise could reintroduce this incredible character even without Legacy. Holograms never go out of style on Star Trek,...

Let me preface this post by saying we don't know anything about Star Trek: Legacy other than it has not been greenlit. We don't know if it is even still a possibilty. That didn't stop Denise Crosby from bringing the series up at a Tampa Bay Comic Convention [thepopverse.com], and it sounds like she was all for what Terry Matalas had in mind for her.
According to Crosby, she had at least one conversation with Matalas, who was the showrunner for Star Trek: Picard, and Matalas told her he'd "love to do a storyline with Sela." She went on to expound on Matalas' success with the franchise and wondered why he hadn't been given "the keys to the kingdom" since he so clearly knows how to run a Star Trek show.
There's no denying that Matalas made a smashing success out of season three of Star Trek: Picard, and he'd likely...

Paramount has been cranking out new Star Trek shows like crazy over the past several years, including Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Prodigy and Picard. Just last week, Paramount+ started airing new episodes of Star Trek: Lower Decks, an animated comedy set during The Next Generation era. This is the show's fifth and final season, and according to showrunner Mike McMahan, it's the best one yet.
"Watching any Star Trek, you get a couple seasons in and you’re like, oh, it just clicked," McMahan told StarTrek.com. "They grew the beard. You know what I mean? This is the season where we grow the beard a little bit, and it feels like a nice culmination of everything we’ve been doing so far."
McMahan is very confident, going so far as to promise that the series finale "Will make a lot of people tear up."

Star Trek: Nemesis was the last original movie in the Star Trek: The Next Generation lineup, and it went out with more of a whimper than a bang. Not too many were happy with the way the film ended things, and the actors didn't know that it was going to be the last film. That was because no one expected the movie to bomb the way it did. And for a long time, that was the last we saw of The Next Generation crew together.
Then Star Trek: Picard's third season invited practically all of the original actors back and even a few guest stars for what felt like The Next Generation's eighth season or final movie. In a recent interview with TVLine {via Trekmovie], LeVar Burton [Geordi Laforge] expressed just how much it meant for everyone to be brought back together and how grateful they were.

He has been a voice with no body and a memory made real. But who knows what he might be next? How about the star of his own series? News on the Vision series has been fairly quiet since it was first announced, but now star Paul Bettany has revealed that filming will begin next year, which sets it up for its 2026 premiere.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Bettany confirmed the news on the Vision series, adding the team is “cooking up something that I’m really excited about.” That’s not much – or anything, really (Bettany said that “snitches end up in ditches”) – to go on, but that doesn’t mean we’re still not looking forward to the Vision series. After all, while Vision may be one of the more minor characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has been crucial and developed remarkably well throughout, especially on WandaVision.

Marvel fans, there’s exciting news about the upcoming Vision series set to premiere on Disney+ in 2026! In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Bettany shared that the series is slated to start production next year.
He expressed his enthusiasm and also mentioned that he’s been catching up on the ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, ‘Agatha All Along.’ Bettany finds the spinoff insightful and plans to rewatch it to prepare for his role in the Vision series.
He said, ‘I love it and I’m so proud of Jac Schaeffer, and I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution.’
The new series, tentatively named ‘Vision Quest,’ picks up from where ‘WandaVision‘ left off, following Vision’s quest for his identity after being seen last in his white robotic form.

Paul Bettany Set to Return as Vision in New Marvel Series, Expresses Enthusiasm for ‘Agatha’ Spinoff
Marvel actor Paul Bettany confirmed that production on a new Disney+ series focusing on his character Vision will begin next year. Bettany, who spoke at a recent premiere for his new film “Here,” expressed enthusiasm about returning to the role of the android Vision. While remaining tight-lipped on specifics, Bettany said the project will start filming in 2023 with plans to premiere in 2026 on Disney’s streaming service.
Best known for portraying Vision in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and the hit series “WandaVision,” Bettany will reprise his role as the enigmatic android created by Ultron. In an unexpected return, James Spader will also reprise his role as Ultron, the artificial intelligence that first posed a threat against humanity in “Age of Ultron.” “Star Trek: Picard” showrunner Terry Matalas will oversee the new Vision series.

WandaVision concluded with the original Vision, rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. to do as they command, attempting to kill Wanda Maximoff and his Hex double. The latter seemingly restored his doppelganger's memories during their battle, prompting the presumably emotionless "White Vision" to fly away to parts unknown.
Marvel Studios and Marvel Television will continue that story in Disney+'s upcoming Vision series and there's a great deal of intrigue surrounding the project.
We know that James Spader will return as Ultron, while it's been widely reported that the Disney+ series will also adapt elements of West Coast Avengers and Tom King's Vision series. There have even been rumblings that we'll see James D'Arcy and Kerry Condon play human versions of Edwin Jarvis and F.R.I.D.A.Y.
It feels like Vision is going to be a wonderfully weird ride, and a new rumour has definitely piqued our interest.

When production began on Stuart Baird's "Star Trek: Nemesis," everyone knew it was going to be the final cinematic outing for the cast of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." The film is full of giant, dramatic changes for its characters and features multiple fond farewells. It even opens with the marriage of Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), a romantic consummation that had been dangling over the franchise since 1987. Riker also, at long last, accepted a captaincy of his own, taking command of the U.S.S. Titan. "Nemesis" was going to dramatize Riker's final mission as first officer of a ship called the Enterprise.

After Star Trek: Nemesis flopped at the box office, that was the end of Star Trek: The Next Generation until the crew gathered together once again for the final season of Star Trek: Picard. After Nemesis, though, Brent Spiner and John Logan had an idea for another movie that would have brought all of the captains from all of the series, crews, and villains together for one epic battle. [via Fandomwire] Not surprisingly, Paramount deemed it too expensive to produce so the idea wasn't considered further. But things have changed over the years, and with Paramount+ interested in streaming movies, this could be the perfect time to revisit Spiner and Logan's idea.

The most unbalanced show in the lineup of Nu Trek shows has got to be Star Trek: Picard. When the show worked, it was fantastic, but it didn't work often. Its use of creative characters like Elnor and Soji Asha felt lacking and uninspired, even though the characters themselves lent themselves to much grander story ideas. Its creativity, or lack thereof, for the returning cast of The Next Generation, didn't help matters, as the only thing that kept the last season of the show going was the interest in the nostalgia of it all.
Yet, despite all that, it was a show that had tremendous hype season after season. It had more to do with the returning stars of yesterday, but it had the hype. Fans gave it a chance. It just didn't work. Once the nostalgia wore off, the excitement was gone. There isn't a lot of demand for a fourth season of Picard.

There are dozens of shows and films to watch if you're a Star Trek fan. Thousands of things to collect and millions of fans. Each and every year there are conventions for those of us who want to go and co-mingle with fellow fans and even the occasional cruise. To say there is a lack of interest in the Star Trek brand from the fans would be a lie. There is clearly interest.
Yet aside from the super expensive cruises and at times, overcrowded conventions, there really aren't a lot of places for Star Trek fans to go to if they're looking for a trip. Sure, you can visit the two Trek statues; the James Kirk one in Riverside, Ia, or the Kathryne Janeway in Bloomington ID. That's about it though.
The actual Star Trek attractions aren't that common. Sure, there are fan-centric conventions all the time but if you...

Warning: You're going to need a protection spell or two if you haven't watched the latest episode of "Agatha All Along." This article contains major spoilers.
Nearly four long years have passed since the events of "WandaVision," both here in the real world and in-universe in "Agatha All Along," which means quite a few dangling threads have remained unresolved. Up until the crime show-inspired premiere, we could only assume that poor Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) had no choice but to play out her sitcom fantasy under Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) spell with no hope of escape. Whether the rest of the citizens of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were aware of what actually happened within Westview is a question that's been left unanswered, kind of like that Eternal-sized statue sticking out of the middle of the ocean somewhere. But episode 6, titled "Familiar By Thy Side," finally began filling in the blanks...

We've already talked about the news that Robert Beltran was allegedly set to return to Star Trek in a live-action setting. To recap, according to the former Star Trek: Voyager star, Beltra was set to return to the franchise in Star Trek: Picard's second season. Before he was set to return in Star Trek: Prodigy, he was asked about reprising his role for Picard.
This would have seen him back as Chakotay once again but with a twist. He would be a villain. Luckily for fans, this wouldn't have been Prime Chakotay, the soft-spoken, earnest man who was Kathryne Janeway's dutiful number two for seven years. No this would've been an evil, more Mirror Universe version. He would have been married to Seven of Nine and would have been a vile man.

When Star Trek: Voyager was nearing the end, the producers introduced a romance between Robert Beltran's Chakotay and Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine. The fans didn't see that one coming as there'd not previously been any type of chemistry between the two characters, and the relationship just didn't make sense. Nevertheless, Voyager ended with the pair still a couple as far as we knew.

Although "Star Trek: Voyager" concluded in 2001, multiple characters from the series have returned throughout the franchise at large to remind Trekkies that they all still exist and are still going about their Starfleet careers. Both Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and Tuvok (Tim Russ) appeared on "Star Trek: Picard," with the former playing a regular role on the series. The reference-heavy "Star Trek: Lower Decks" makes "Voyager" references all the time, and even had an episode set on board the U.S.S. Voyager.
Most notably, Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) not only had a cameo in the 2002 film "Star Trek: Nemesis," but a holographic version of the character played a large role in the animated series "Star Trek: Prodigy." That same show also featured the real-life Janeway, the Doctor (Robert Picardo), as well as a subplot involving Chakotay (Robert Beltran), the captain of the experimental ship the U.S.S.

When he first appeared in the "Star Trek" episode "Space Seed", Khan Noonien Singh (Ricardo Montalbán) was merely a villain-of-the-week. Khan was a remnant of the long-ago Eugenics Wars, a conflict that broke out on Earth in the late 1990s, and which contributed to the near-destruction of the planet several decades later. Khan, genetically enhanced, managed to escape Earth in cryogenic stasis, only to be found and revived by the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise nearly 200 years later. As one might predict, Khan, still thirsty for power, attempted to take over the Enterprise.
It wouldn't be until the release of Nicholas Meyer's "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" in 1982 that the character would become mythic. Montalbán returned to play a Khan that was miffed after having been abandoned, and who goes on a mad quest to find and kill Admiral Kirk (William Shatner). In "Space Seed,...

The failings of Star Trek: Picard are profound and numerous. It was a show with all the potential in the world, but it all fell apart through mismanagement and a loss of focus. The show ended well enough in its third season, returning to the nostalgia well a time or two too often for most. However, fans got what they wanted from the show; another trip down the road with the original crew of U.S.S. Enterprise-d.
Picard was seen as a spiritual successor to Star Trek: The Next Generation in the eyes of many fans. After all, the first season promised the returns of Jean-Luc Picard, William Riker, Deanna Troi, and Data. So of course fans saw this as a chance for another go-around with that same crew. Yet, it would take three full seasons to finally give fans what they wanted. Sadly, to get there, they had...

Star Trek: Lower Decks is giving fans a long-awaited Trek return of a famous and beloved Star Trek: Voyager character. So far most of the main characters of the franchise have returned. Kathryne Janeway and Chakotay returned on Prodigy, while Seven of Nine and Tuvok popped up on Star Trek: Picard. The Doctor returned on Prodigy and will once again appear in the upcoming series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, while Tom Paris brought the Voyager vibes to Star Trek: Lower Decks.
The only characters who have not returned yet have been Kes, Neelix, B'Elanna Torres, and Harry Kim. That is until today. News broke that Harry Kim, once again played by Garrett Wang, will return to the world of Star Trek in the upcoming fifth and final season of Lower Decks.
In the closing moments of the last trailer for Lower Decks' final season, Kim can be seen talking to all alternate versions of himself.

The changeover from Star Trek: Picard's second and third seasons frankly "saved" the show's reputation. Now, it's still not the best show in franchise history, far from it. It's still a bad show. The third season was a mess, with convoluted story notes, terribly written character interactions, and a desire to tear down some of the greatest characters in history. It was very much Star Trek's version of the modern Star Wars trilogy; an entity that just wanted to live off of nostalgia, but not knowing how.
Just like with the new Star Wars films, all Picard tried to do was two things; develop enough content for a spinoff, and find ways to bring back iconic concepts that were better off being left 30 years in the past. It failed, in many ways. Some fans loved the nostalgia-bait that they were given but upon further review, the third season doesn't cut the mustard,...

Almost twenty years ago, viewers of the Project Greenlight reality TV series got to watch as John Gulager was hired to direct the creature feature Feast for a producing team that included Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Wes Craven. His latest movie is the action thriller Seven Cemeteries, which was just given a theatrical and digital release today, October 11th, and on Amazon it’s available to rent for the price of $6.99 or purchase for $14.99. Paramount+ today debuted the official trailer for the fifth and final season of its hit animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks. The fifth and final season will premiere on Paramount+ with two episodes on Thursday, October 24, in the U.S. and internationally.
Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode-long season will drop every Thursday on the service leading up to the series finale on Thursday, December 19.
In season five of Star Trek: Lower Decks, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is tasked with closing “space potholes” – subspace rifts that are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant. Pothole duty would be easy for Junior Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and Rutherford … If they didn’t also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries, and scariest of all: their own career aspirations.

Many, many fans weren't fond of Star Trek: Picard despite how much they loved Patrick Stewart and his portrayal of Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Some preferred to remember him that way rather than how different he was as a retired admiral. But Admiral Picard had his good moments on Picard, and one of those moments involved an action that Captain Kathryn Janeway [Kate Mulgrew] should have taken a long time ago. Admiral Picard gave a field commission to Seven of Nine [Jeri Ryan].
Of course, during the run of Star Trek: Voyager Starfleet was against the integratiaon of augments into the Academy or its ranks, and with Seven of Nine's Borg implants, that brought into question her loyalty. Simply put, Starfleet wasn't sure that she could be trusted enough to become an officer. But that changed after Admiral Picard gave her a field commission. Not...

Jac Schaeffer shockingly announced her departure from the upcoming Vision series, though the project will continue with Paul Bettany reprising his role. The show will focus on White Vision and will pick up after the events in 2021’s WandaVision.

The Agatha All Along showrunner has been juggling various Marvel projects over the past years, and the overwhelming amount of work has taken a toll on her physically and mentally. The overlapping productions for her current Disney+ series and the planned Vision show also did not help.
Why Did Jac Schaeffer Quit Vision Quest?
While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Jac Schaeffer explained why she had to leave Vision Quest despite her stellar works with Marvel franchises. She noted how she was spreading herself too thin with the simultaneous work on both Agatha All Along and Paul Bettany’s show “in a way that wasn’t tenable” for her.

Parker Finn's 2022 horror film "Smile" has a novel premise and a monster that is difficult to describe. The film begins when the lead character, a therapist named Rose (Sosie Bacon), has a strange encounter with a student, Laura (Caitlin Stasey). Laura is in a panic, having spent several day beset by hallucinations. She has been seeing people she knows appearing out of nowhere and grinning at her fiendishly. She knows these people are, in fact, a singular shapeshifting demon of some kind, and it is encouraging her to die by suicide. Then, as she predicted, Laura also pastes on a bleak, intense smile, and slits her throat right in front of Rose.
Rose soon begins experiencing similar hallucinations, wherein people she knows appear in her mind's eye, all of them wearing a scary rictus. Rose soon discovers that the grinning entity is an ancient supernatural creature that feeds on trauma.

When season three of Star Trek: Picard began, there were some missing faces. Some, we didn't expect to see as their stories wrapped up in season two, like Captain Cristobal Rios [Santiago Carbrera] who chose to remain the past. Isa Briones's Soji character only returned briefly for season two and Briones played an entirely different character who ended up going with Wil Wheaton's Traveler. We're not quite sure what happened to Evan Evagora's Elnor, but Allison Pill's Dr. Agnes Jurati joined with the Borg Queen who became a benevolent form...at least for that queen.
The only original actor, who appeared in the first episode of the first season, alongside Patrick Stewart, to return in season three was Raffi [Michelle Hurd]. Paul Giamatti is one of the finest actors going. He is the true "character actor" archetype we're told so much about. The type of performer who can't be typecast and will dive deep into any role given to him. Truly a talented thespian and an amazing get for the folks behind Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Yet, the multi-time award winner is coming in with some outlandish hype around his name. Not too dissimilar from one a pro sports team lands a major free agent, landing Giamatti was unexpected. He may arguably be the best actor that Star Trek has acquired in not just years, but maybe decades (if not ever). Yet, a talented performer needs more than what they bring to the table.

The third and final season of "Star Trek: Picard" ended on a friendly note. Jean-Luc (Patrick Stewart) had rescued his long-lost son Jack (Ed Speleers) from the Borg, and had finally earned a moment with his old co-workers from the Enterprise-d. He hadn't served with them for decades, but he was still close to his old senior staff. He, Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), Worf (Michael Dorn), Geordi (LeVar Burton), Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden), and a new fleshy version of Data (Brent Spiner) gathered around a poker table for one final, genial game together. They chatted idly and laughed as friends as the credits began to roll.
It was implied that the characters would live out the rest of their lives on good terms. Picard was about 100 years old in that third season, so his story may very well be over. He had another adventure, just as he...

For decades now, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart have had their names linked together, playing two sides of the same coin as Magneto and Professor X in the X-Men films. However, the pair have been close to each other for far longer, dating back to their times working in the Royal Shakespeare Company together in the 1970s.

Star Trek has been quite different since 2017 when Star Trek: Discovery launched. Star Trek: Picard followed, along with Star Trek: Lower Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and they all offered something different to fans and new viewers. Not all original Trek fans were enthused, but there is one series that has been consistently well-received, and even when cancelled by Paramount+, it found a home at the biggest streaming channel, Netflix, because of fan devotion. Here's why this is so important for the future of Star Trek.
We don't know what's around the corner. Will Alex Kurtzman continue to head up the franchise? According to the most recent deal he inked with CBS Studios in 2021 [via Deadline], he'll be leading Star Trek until 2027 or so. But that doesn't mean authority can't be handed over to someone else who maybe has a different outlook on Trek and where to go from here.

Worf, the prune juice drinking Klingon played by Michael Dorn, is a pretty major fixture of the "Star Trek" franchise. He's one of the most physically imposing characters in the property and is sort of the "John Wick" of the "Star Trek" universe, according to Dorn, having by now appeared in three different shows while making his mark across multiple "Star Trek" generations. Dorn first starred as Worf in "Star Trek: The Next Generation," then his character was transferred to the space station Deep Space Nine on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," and finally, he showed up in season 3 of "Star Trek: Picard," which followed up on the crew of "The Next Generation" decades later.

Sir Patrick Stewart has been the only actor to play Captain Jean-Luc Picard since the character’s debut in 1987’s Star Trek: The Next Generation. He played the role for seven seasons and then returned with the cast for the four original movies. He also reprised his role in the spinoff show Star Trek: Picard.
After being part of the franchise for over three and a half decades, Stewart chose one episode to be his favorite and for a particular reason. The X-Men star reportedly chose the season 5 episode The Inner Light as his favorite due to the incredible storyline and because he got to work with his son Daniel Stewart in the show.

Star Trek fans are desperate for a sequel to Star Trek: Picard. There was an idea floated out there by Terry Matalas, who envisioned a new show centered around Seven of Nine and Jack Crusher, the biological son of Jean-Luc Picard. It would feature several other characters like Sidney La Forge and maybe a few other veterans of the Star Trek franchise.
In essence, it would be the first continuation of Star Trek stories since Picard and would remain one of the few shows that actually advanced the plot forward. Most shows, like Discovery, Lower Decks, Prodigy, and Strange New Worlds, all fall in between other established shows in the universe.
Yet, this sequel series, dubbed Sar Trek: Legacy, would be the furthest point in the timeline, aside from the forthcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (and later seasons of Discovery). It would be a fun new idea that many fans are excited about.

Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Mummy, the Wolf Man, the Invisible Man – Universal has brought them all back to the screen in the decades since their glory days in the 1930s and ’40s. But one classic Universal monster who hasn’t had a new movie since the 1950s is the Creature from the Black Lagoon, a.k.a. the Gill Man. The closest we’ve gotten is the unofficial version of the creature that was seen in the 1987 classic The Monster Squad… but last month, it was reported that genre regular James Wan and his production company Atomic Monster are developing “a grounded modernized retelling” of Creature from the Black Lagoon that will lean into “visceral horror while paying respect to the original classic.” Now, Deadline has learned that this Creature from the Black Lagoon reboot will be written by Sean Tretta.

Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Discovery should go down in history as the two worst, creatively bankrupt shows in franchise history. While each show had moments of success, the overall arching narrative from start to finish on both shows failed to generate or maintain interest. Yet we can at least say Discovery tried to be better, and for a brief moment in season three, was.

It was in the third season of Star Trek: Picard when Stephanie Czajkowski found herself playing a part-Deltan/part-Vulcan aboard the bridge of the USS Titan, captained by Liam Shaw [Todd Stashwick]. Czajkowski didn't know originally that she was auditioning for a role on Star Trek, but once she was aboard, she would look around every day and marvel at the fact that was on an "iconic bridge" and knew it "was only going to last for so long."
Czajkowski was right, but it wasn't because the series was ending. Her character, T'Veen, didn't make it to the end of the season as the character was killed by Vadic [Amanda Plummer] in the eighth episode "Surrender." She learned of the upcoming death of her character by that episode's director, Deborah Kampmeier. No man in Star Trek history has achieved so much in such few appearances. John de Lancie is one of the few figures in all of Star Trek who can compel an audience to stay tuned to every word and movement he expresses. You'd think that with that staying power, he's been in hundreds of episodes. That's not the case though.
He hasn't even been in a whole season's worth of shows. In fact, in his entire history, across five shows, de Lancie's Q has only been in 22 episodes. Nine of which were in Star Trek: Picard, the show that holds the distinction of having the most apperances by the famed character. Whether that's a note you want to celebrate is entirely up to you.

Star Trek: Picard had quite a bit of the Borg in the series, which made sense as that was one of Admiral Picard's [Patrick Stewart] worst enemies. So having him face off again against the Collective, that had turned him into Locutus, was a great part of the show. But the large showing of the Borg was originally because, before Stewart had signed on to do Picard, the show being pitched was a Borg spin-off.

There have been a lot of Star Trek shows coming out in the past few years, but few have captured hearts and minds like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. This prequel series follows Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew aboard the USS Enterprise, filling in the years before Captain James T. Kirk took over the ship in the original series. Sir Patrick Stewart is one of the few Star Trek leads to not direct a film in the sci-fi franchise. While his other colleagues like William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and Jonathan Frakes have helmed original films from their own series, Stewart has only stuck to directing a few episodes of The Next Generation and acting.
The actor mentioned that he was never interested in directing a film, even though the prospect had come up once. He mentioned that he did not like to think of scope and scale when it came to movies and preferred directing episodes over a film. He also mentioned that he hated watching his performances in the episodes he helmed.
