Meaningful and Thoughtful

A thoughtful short film that makes its point in a timely manner. Suicide is a large problem in Japan and there are not a lot of films that address the issue realistically. I hope to see more shorts like this.

Just when you think you're breaking through, it hits you

It's a beautiful, sad story, taking place in few sets but very powerful. The background music reminds me of C418's work for Mojang, and the very clean camera setup allows to enjoy the bleakness of the underlying story. The story focuses on a lonely girl making a decision for herself, and the aftermath of such a decision on her fellow classmate. Could her writing ripple through the life of someone else's ?

Exceptional filmaking that deserves more views!

From beginning to end, this short was visually stunning. The story development went in directions I wasn't expecting and it deals with subject matters not many can pull off sucessfully, but this did to a fine art. At times, I forgot I was watching a short and thought it was a full length feature. Highly recommend.

Not what i expected, but in a good way

Having experienced Japan myself, I'm still stuck sometimes in the values dissonance between it and the rest of the world. Simple acts like a walk on the beach, something few people would even notice elsewhere, could spiral out of control and determine unexpected consequences and reactions. I enjoyed this short with good acting and an extremely interesting atmosphere.

Nothing new here.

The actors simply couldn't convince me. Also there are plenty of movies just like this ....
