A quiet time with Blur
Rodrigo_Amaro7 January 2024
Here's Blur members trying out a somewhat unusual experience of being filmed during their sleeping hours and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg ("Festen", "The Hunt") who uses of night vision to capture Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree as they count sheep and possibly dream. We in the audience delight our ears the melancholic sad ballad from the band.

Well, nothing much happens except for a brief moment where one of the guys has a small coughing fit and Damon later waking up, completely lost as if being hungover. But not, it was just some real nice sleep that left him slow. The song has the group at their finest, top of the game, with sad and reflective sounds and lyrics. Don't expect to see the spectacular visuals from their more fantastic productions such as "The Universal" or "Country House"; here the spectacle comes from hearing the track and maybe admiring the stilness of it all, the slow movements or the chance of one of guys might have some sudden movement during sleep. Gladly, none of them is a sleepwalker. 8/10.
