Sex & Nudity

  • A female character has a larger bosom that is emphasized by lingering scenes that start at her chest and work its way up to her head. This character is fully clothed and these scenes aren't intended to be sexual.
  • S1 is COMPLETELY CLEAN NO FAN SERVICE so enjoy.
  • In S2 ep1, they zoom at a girls's cleavage twice (she's full clothed but her clothes are tight)
  • In S2 ep3, last clip they zoom at the RBC's butt (fully clothed but outlined) to view the WBC behind her sometimes it goes unnoticed.
  • Otherwise S2 IS SUPEEEER CLEAN & AWESOME!

Violence & Gore

  • There is frequent fantasy violence/combat against viruses, bacteria, allergens and parasites that are attempting to enter and infect the body. While there is bloody injury detail, there is no excessive gore or brutality.
  • Full of bloodiness from the beginning of the first episode. Example: viruses being attacked by knife-wielding "white blood cells" and spurting blood all over.
  • Violence is frequent and bloody in nature, but this is only against grotesque-looking bacteria (though, said bacteria have faces and talk like people). It doesn't dwell on the violence.
  • There is some over the top blood when the Germs, Bacteria, Allergens, and Viruses are killed. However, the show has a very lighthearted tone. When a dead monster is seen, they have a cartoony X for their eyes. In the show, you rarely ever see any people (Cells) getting killed.

Profanity

  • Regular use of mild coarse language ('damn', 'hell', 'bastard', 'crap') in the official subtitles.
  • The word "sh**" is used twice in the second season.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Although the overall tone of the series is light-hearted and sometimes even cutesy, some of the viruses and bacteria can be frightening-looking to certain audiences. The cancer cells, in particular, have a rather hideous and monstrous look and demeanor to them, though, it's nothing truly disturbing or anything.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A child character is killed off screen by soldiers in a tragic backstory because he is a mutated/cancerous cell. There is also some imagery where a certain type of cell is shown holding a large weapon and with blood.
