Love and Lust - the most destructive forces

Not being a native telugu speaker i check synopsis before watching the movie and on wikipedia someone posted the only twist in the movie, so i knew what was the main twist in the movie and when i started i thought i will have another bad day at movies as i didnt like Bhaagamathie which i saw a day before and this one also was looking not worth it , but the second half got me in and some parts of movie i related to as well.
The boy was shown waiting for someone for 3 years and as and when he comes back he go and thrash him but still he is still looking for someone so much that he go to a funeral just to check whether that person has come back . Now they go in flashback and show the love story and the girl he has been waiting for. The girl is married now and settled in US and he is waiting for her return and as they show her return to village everything picks up and thats where i felt relieved that atleast this is not a bad movie.
Acting wise everyone is good. Kartikeya - who plays Shiva brings out the madness that love brings in , Payal Rajput as smart , intelligent educated girl -Indu was good and looked hot. Ramki plays Daddy- Shiva's loving guardian very well and Rao ramesh who played Indu's father - Vishwanath was dependable as usual.
First half keeps on meandering and songs keep coming in for no reason but the second half picks up and end in a good climax , though climax could have been better .Another good thing was fight scenes were realistic unlike our regular movies where Hero hits and bunch of goons fly so they have kept the setting realistic.
This is no masterpiece but when it can keep my interest despite knowing the twist , it surely is good enough watch . I felt 6/10 but since i knew the twist factoring in that i will go for 7/10.

They had a good story but needed strong editing and strong performances from the lead pair. Unnecessary vulgarity and Hero getting beaten to pulp every 15 mins killed your interest . A movie which needed extraordinary performances from the Hero and Heroine had a average one from the Hero and below average from the Heroine. To be fair the lead actor tried hard but he just did not have the maturity and range to carry the role.Oddly the actors playing the lead actors father and lead actress father gave excellent performances.
Makes you wonder what could have been achieved here with a good director and a lead actor like Vijay Devarokonda or VJS.

The film takes you through an incredible ride in a setting so realistic. The supporting roles consisted of the local folks which makes it so natural. There are no fancy and unrealistic elements. It is one of the movies that you will not forget for a long time. The Debutante Director Ajay Bhupathi did a wonderful job. Actor Karthikeya and Actress Payal did a great job in acting. It was India's one of the finest Low budget Wonders.

Rx 100 is based on a different type of love story. It is not the same love story we see in every other love story. The story is more realistic in my opinion because the hero character 'Siva' is centralized on a real life character. The delivery and screen play can be better. Otherwise it is a solid film none the less.

I heard many boasting about this movie and comparing with arjun reddy.Watched this movie with so much expectations...
But this movie is just trash.Too much laggy with dramatic scenes.This is movie for ones with soft heart.On a decent view,This movie is good for nothing.Story is weak and stretched like rubber band.Emotional scenes are pathetic.If something is good that is the songs..
Knock out first three letters in the title to get the rating...

The most interesting sequence in the film is the appetizing street bajji and bonda making scene, compensating for the insipid dialogues and sub par comical poetry which makes the hero, who apparently has very low bar for sense of humour, laugh. A city educated girl, already in a relationship, comes home to village and falls for ruffian rugged looks of a rustic hulk, with shabby denouement - a poor story handled poorly.The movie could have been developed into a thrilling story of femme fatal, but as often happens, the real story is ten minutes which is just a cover for filling up rest of two and half hours with what now a days euphemistically goes by 'raw', 'bold' scenes and plenty of violence, in a formulaic trope. Kartikeya Gummakonda's is not bad when he is not acting or talking, especially in climax scenes with modulated rumbling diction that passes for a bad Telugu TV serial. Payal Rajput as the lead lady is decent without being scintillating. Her persona with commitment issues, even if not a role model, could have been moulded into a more interesting one, but this opportunity is frittered away, with little character development.

Bad screenplay.
Hero tries too hard ,if the screenplay met his energy even halfway ,I would give him an imaginary award of some sorts.
Heroine is good, did exactly what she was asked, I could'nt hate her to my full capacity because I have watched far more narcissistic villains than her and she just seemed like a level 1 boss but for a telugu cinema I'd say it's admirable to have a soft boy paired up with a borderline psychopath, the last I remember watching this is in some of Ramya Krishna's old films . I wanted to sympathize with the guy but I was angrier on him for being stuck on her way too much but bad melodrama sells in telugu cinema since forever and it won't change anytime soon .
Songs are good, I would have have enjoyed them more if I hadn't known the spoilers before watching the film.
Also I hate the Daddy character, make him do something other than telling us he does something or is a big deal, I think this Daddy character had to be either a Hot headed mess or a cool level headed man ,he is shown in a cool guy manner while telling that he is a hot headed one , c'mon should have decided to add another supporting character instead of making "Daddy" everything.

Indian 'Devdas Theory' meets Hollywood's 'Femme Fatale Formula in this passionate and aggressive but ignorable love story. RX 100 could have been a terrific film if they really wanted to add something intellectual or noir stuff, but it stops way before that to play safe with mass audience. We know Devdas theory since Silent cinema in India and that time it worked because that passionate love was something really good for the time. Later it explored more features in talkies cinema and then multiple remakes till adult version.. everything was reasonable. Then we had 'Femme Fatale' theory in Hollywood, which was completely opposite to the Devdas theory. Elaborating further might help here. Well, in Devdas theory two passionate lovers are parted due to family pressure and then the protagonist loses everything, he goes crazy missing her. On the contrary, in Femme Fatale, the woman cheats the man and he goes craczy but sometimes takes his revenge. RX 100 is mix of these two formulas and maybe that's the only reason why i can call it a watchable film. Otherwise it's very predictable film with no fresh entertainment or any other enjoyable aspects. To be frank, from the first meeting the love story looked fake and rough so it didn't generate any emotions by the end. The film heavily relies on those emotions which might be generated among mass audience who don't like to do some brainstorming but for intellectual cinema lovers, it's a lukewarm script. Kartikeya is good in some scenes but he isn't flawless and so does the film. Payal looks beautiful but like I said earlier, she starts giving those Femme Fatale vibes from the very first scene. RX 100 could have been a gripping and flawless flick with such a decent piece of writing but Bhupathi's direction is very mass-friendly when it could have been intelligent. Overall, a good attempt in youth oriented modern romance genre with added fuel of intimacy and vulgarity.

What a trash this movie is... a bloody bore!!! I literally wasted my 2.5 hours to see something that lacks soul, screenplay, characterisation and stupendously awful acting by the lead pair... give it a miss... you will not miss anything in life

Great plot line and sequence of the movie but the screenplay is so slow that you can have look at your phone for the first 1 hr 30 min and understand the movie.
The worst part of the movie is the direction. I think with a better director, this movie would have been a "Classic" . A better editor was also needed for this movie, so many scenes could have been edited. This movie should have been a
1 hr 30 min or 1 hr 45 min movie. The best part of this movie was the music and the songs but all songs are played before 1 hr 15 min mark. Actors and actresses did a great job playing their roles. Nonetheless, watch this movie for authenticity and rawness :)

In my eyes, this is a quality commercial movie. I am not a really big fan of commercial cinema and generally tip towards the Anurag Kashyap-type films. But I was interested to see Rx 100 when I came to know about the release of Tadap, the Bollywood remake of this title. I must say, this is an amazing movie to watch. There is romance, action, suspense, okay-ish humour, and nonetheless, a topsy-turvy story. The first half will feel really dragged and possibly confusing for some. But it is what the second half holds, that makes the whole movie a must watch. At no point, will anything unnecessary happen. I t might look like it is, but it is not. The last 40 minutes of the movie are what will make this a really good picture to watch.
Some places where the movie lacks, are the acting by the lead actor Kartikeya. The acting does look a little hammy and forced or animated at times. No flow of emotions is seen at some places where it is possibly needed the most. Screenplay could be better.
Overall, Rx100 is a picture you do not want to miss if you are looking for a gritty movie with intense action and powerful romance. My only concern outside the picture is with the remake it is getting in the form of Tadap, set to be released on 24th Sept, 2021. Bollywood is really dicey with treating remakes, so lets see how this one turns out. Peace out.

The movie is very slow in the first half. Too many songs, slow paced, just a crazy guy running and beating people.... I was bored. Just as I was about to stop the movie assuming it would be a typical love story, a solid twist hits you hard. The movie then picks up big time and shall shock you big time. The screenplay is lousy and doesnt hold your interest in the first half and thats where it stumbles. The actors are very good specially the lead guy who fits the role perfectly. It isnt your regular south movie where hero bashes up 10 goons, nothing of that sort happens and it stays real.
Overall stay patient with the first half, maybe fast-forwards the songs, not the scenes as there in lies the answer to the twist that follows. 8 out of 10. Fantastic movie.
