The Suits L.A. cast has released another name, and this person was recently seen on Chicago Fire.
Actor Troy Winbush has been added to the Suits L.A. cast, fleshing out another character the show will focus on.
Suits L.A. is being referred to as a brand extension because it will continue the timeline of stories told on Suits.
This new show isn’t exactly a spin-off because it won’t focus on characters that originally appeared on Suits. But it does open the doors for people to return.
Filming for a pilot episode for Suits L.A. will reportedly begin in April, with some recognizable names attached to the project.
It’s clear that the streaming success Suits has found on Netflix has led to this moment, and it may spur additional interest in Suits L.A.

A small but spirited 1954-set drama about a group of “delinquent” teenage girls who plan a daring escape from the one-dock New Zealand island where they’ve been sent for institutional Christianization, Māori filmmaker Josephine Stewart-Te Whiu’s “We Were Dangerous” does its best to remain upbeat as the agents of colonization try to assert their control over its characters’ bodies. It’s a promising debut that does its best to remain upbeat as the agents of colonization try to assert their control over its characters’ bodies, as Stewart-Te Whiu skillfully combines the pluck of “A Little Princess” with the irreverence of executive producer Taika Waititi’s “Hunt for the Wilderpeople.”
Light on its feet even in the face of forced sterilization, Stewart-Te Whiu’s debut wields its upbeat tone as a rousing show of defiance unto itself; if that means whittling this story down to its 82-minute skeleton in...

The duo joins the previously announced cast: Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage, Kyle Gallner, Rosemarie DeWitt and Dylan Gelula.
Smile writer and director returns for the second installment to again direct from his own script, with Temple Hill producing. Smile 2 is currently slated for release on October 18, 2024, when it will go up against a still-unnamed title from Universal Pictures.
Going on to gross over $217M in theaters, even if it was initially set up for release on Paramount+, Smile was one of the great, unexpected box office successes of 2022. If one were to rank all the major streaming services by queerness, Amazon Prime Video would be a pretty tough one to pin down.
On the one hand, you have to give credit where credit is due: One of the service’s very first stabs at original programming was “Transparent,” which in turn was one of the first shows to star a trans main character. That show now has a lot of baggage, but it’s hard to its understate historical significance.
Beyond the thorny topic of “Transparent,” Prime Video does have a good track record of releasing shows with LGBTQ characters and centering their narratives on queer themes; in particular, many of their shows focus on queer women, refreshingly avoiding the centering of gay men that defined queer TV for decades. This spring, the streamer dropped a phenomenal limited series retelling of David Cronenberg’s “Dead Ringers,” starring Rachel Weisz as twin lesbian gynecologists.

Slasher movies have been around for decades, and they excel because you have a group of people stalked by a killer, only to have the story end within 90 minutes.
Slashers on TV take things in a different direction, with the story being told over a longer arc.
That doesn't always work, but some slashers have delivered on their promise.
Because we're TV Fanatics, we've rounded up some of the best slashers to hit the small screen.
Check them out below.

It promised lots of death and questions about the killer's identity.
It lived up to that promise.
However, we'd be remiss if we didn't recommend the original season and Guilty Party.

Davis’ departure is a surprise given how close he has been to Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden.
When he moved from 20th Television to ABC Signature, he was able to lure a handful of big-name talents across with him include Drew Goddard and Octavia Spencer.
Davis took over the role of President of ABC Studios in July 2019, four months after Disney’s $71.3B of key Fox assets and...

Sarah Pidgeon had a major task when it came to Hulu's "Tiny Beautiful Things." The actor, who previously starred in Amazon Prime Video's "The Wilds," plays Clare, a college student dealing with the sudden loss of her mom. Kathryn Hahn also inhabits the character - an older version of Clare, who is dealing with that trauma from her youth and trying to move forward for her own family. They're joined by Merrit Wever as Frankie, Clare's mom. Pidgeon tells Popsugar, "I'm still pinching myself" about working with such great actors. "I feel really, really grateful that I was able to have my name even close to those people on a credits list."
She admits she was "really nervous," but the veteran actors were "so comforting and kind." Before filming began, she says, "[Hahn and I] had worked together, with really the whole main cast, sort of figuring out what...

Hulu's "Tiny Beautiful Things," which premiered April 7 on the streamer, follows Kathryn Hahn as Clare, a struggling middle-aged woman who reconnects with her love of writing as her marriage and family fall apart. The new series, which also features "The Wilds"'s Sarah Pidgeon as the younger version of Clare, Quentin Plair as her husband Danny, and Tanzyn Crawford as her daughter Rae, is based on the book of advice columns by Cheryl Strayed. Back in the 2010s, Strayed anonymously wrote the "Dear Sugar" advice column for the website The Rumpus, doling out wisdom that was eventually collected in the book "Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar." And while Strayed sought to help those who chose to write in, she also pulled from the story of her own life. In the show, Clare becomes Sugar, trying to help others while her life is also falling apart.

Clare Pierce is a mess.
Her marriage is on the rocks, and her relationship with her daughter is in even worse shape.
For most of her life, Clare has reacted. She reacts to everyting around her, and her reactions suck her down far lower than the once promising young writer should ever be.
Kathryn Hahn plays Clare in this Hulu adaptation of Cheryl Strayed's collection of works, "Tiny Beautiful Things."
We've seen Hahn in so many roles, and she continues being cast because she's empathetic and engaging. Clare makes terrible decisions, but you never view her as the bad guy. Thanks to Hahn's performance, Clare comes across as a lost soul aching for forgiveness.
As her life spirals before her eyes, she wonders how she got to this place. It's a question many of us ask as life carries on. Whether you're happy or unsatisfied, your life rarely looks...

One of the best TV shows of 2022 was Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson's adaptation of "A League of Their Own" for Prime Video, a delightful look at the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League birthed during World War II. While based on the groundbreaking film of the same name starring Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Rosie O'Donnell, Madonna, and Lori Petty, the Prime Video series was a more inclusive, historically accurate look at the real events that inspired the original. Meaning, many of the players are openly, canonically gay, and the series doesn't shy away from the ways racism pushed extremely talented Black women off the field.
Completely ignoring the cultural and societal importance of a story like this, "A League of Their Own" is also one hell of an underdog sports series. The ensemble cast is pitch-perfect, each episode is filled with snappy writing, and the compelling story has plenty to say,...

GLAAD’s “Where We Are on TV” study this year found a 6% decrease in the number of LGBTQ characters across broadcast, cable and streaming — and the cancellation/ending of shows surely isn’t helping matters.
Ahead of the latest study’s measurement period, the cancellation of Batwoman, Charmed, DC’s Legend of Tomorrow, 4400, Legacies and Naomi (on just The CW alone), plus Killing Eve, Claws, Dickinson, Astrid and Lily Save the World, The Wilds, Genera+ion, Y: The Last Man, Dear White People, Gentefied and Saved by the Bell (to name but a few), had already made a dent in LGBTQ representation.

This Last of Us article contains Major Spoilers for season 1 and potentially season 2.
The mushroom madness of The Last of Us season one has come to an end, but with HBO already giving a second run of episodes the green light (was anyone really doubting it?), all eyes are on what’s next for Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal) now that they’ve completed their mission to find the Fireflies.
Chernobyl’s Craig Mazin serves as showrunner for the HBO series, working alongside Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann to bring the classic 2013 game to life. For the second season, the pair have confirmed that they’re going to next adapt 2020’s The Last of Us Part II.
In fact, some fans think the season 1 finale, “Look for the Light,” is actually hiding a major character from The Last of Us Part II in plain sight, paving the way...

School is difficult enough, but it's about to be more difficult for a teenager named Maddie (played by Peyton List), tasked with solving her murder.
Paramount+ dropped the official teaser for School Spirits this week, and it looks set to be one of the most talked-about shows of the year so far.
The trailer introduces us to Maddie, a teenager who finds herself dead, and her spirit is stuck at school.
Maddie has no idea how she died, but she can see the reactions from the other students in the school as she tries to comprehend how she got stuck there.
The minute she tries to step foot off the school grounds, she's taken back to the crime scene.
It's a compelling hook for a teen drama, and the official trailer makes it seem like this one is worth watching.

Although it treads well-worn territory, "The 100" is a unique show. The series aired on The CW from 2014 to 2020, receiving critical acclaim -- especially in its early seasons. While it ran on a network known for airing soapy teen dramas, "The 100" is tonally and thematically distinct from its contemporaries. There isn't much typical high school drama, and when there are teenage relationship troubles, it's more "my new love interest is forcing me to execute my ex" than "the popular girl stole my boyfriend."
"The 100" isn't afraid to go there, and go there it does throughout seven seasons. While Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) starts the series as a rebellious teenager, she becomes the de-facto leader of her people. Before leaving her teenhood, she made harrowing decisions. However, do you think that the latter group would still consider that time in their lives the glory days if they had to spend eternity there? The new young adult drama from Awesomeness Live-Action Studios titled "School Spirits" explores...

During its presentation at the Television Critics Association’s 2023 winter press tour, Paramount+ debuted new teaser art for the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard,” which premieres on Feb. 16. During the panel about the series however, the team behind the series didn’t seem so sure that this would be the end.
“Who knows?” executive producer Alex Kurtzman said when asked about the ending of the series, with star Patrick Stewart saying that if the show could “maintain the work quality” of the first three seasons, he would be open to reappearing. He also noted that the storylines of the final season intentionally “leave doors open.”
The series stars Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, who he played for seven seasons of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd also star.
