A good comedy turned bad - poor starting.

A good chapstick comedy turned down by specifically by Shayan Khan.

1. You dont expect great action from someone who looks as beardless as Kareena Kapoor, speaks like a mouth cancer survivor and is as adult as a 12 year old. He acted like Pakistani Hansika Motwani.

2. The maulavi part was irritating. Better acting/ direction on that part could be managed.

The only thing worth watching is Mikaal and Kazmi's acting.

And finally there is one movie on Eid that we can label as Entertainment!



Na Band Na Barati I went to watch purely because family and friends who had gone to see it came back saying it was a light hearted Rom Com and a good time pass. Frankly after the debacle that was 7 Din Mohabbat In I wasn't looking forward to seeing any of the other Eid ul Fitr releases. But peer reviews had me curious so I went ahead and saw it today.

The very Handsome and talented Mikaal Zulifqar and the new kid on the block Shayan Khan are pure eye candy in the flick. Mikaal we all know about. Shayan? Well handsome and certainly well dressed (seriously his wardrobe in the movie was goals and reminded me of Bollywood hunks) Shayan made a great hunk team with Mikaal and you can read more about him here:

As always I have no intentions of divulging the plot or to give spoilers so suffice it to say that two brothers and their beloved added with cases of misunderstandings made this a light hearted comedy with everything working out superbly for all involved.

The locales were awesome. To date I am yet to see a Pakistani Movie with such superb locations and it was pretty obvious that a lot of scouting was done to ensure every shot outdoors had a magical background! Surprisingly

there were 5 songs in the movie which were all easy on the ears. But two especially I can see landing on my playlist as they immediately catch your attention. One being Sajan Bin Raina and the other Bahon Main Teri. The fact that the singers were Rahat Fateh and Shafqat Amant is just icing on the cake.

Light hearted with some silly moments and lots of laughs Na Band Na Barati directed by Mahmood Akhtar is a good effort. Of course a great supporting cast with the likes of Qavi and Atiqa Odho thrown into the melting pot only made things better.

Oh and not to forget Ali Kazmi. The guy played the role of a "Machinist" as he self-styled himself and was hilarious!

Seriously the guys here totally eclipsed the girl cast which is a shame since both Anzalikha and Nayab are pretty additions to the local movie scene. All in all what I had heard about the movie was right, it deserves a watch so go see it as we have rated it 4/5!!!!

Waste of Money

A total crap with no storyline, no plot and no character development, the direction is bad as hell and even the the scenes are not in line with the initial scenes. The writer is just trying to make non issues, issues. If you're watching it because of Mikaal Zulfiqar, know that he is not the main hero. The main hero is so bad that that you'll start getting annoyed at him. The person doesn't even have a proper Urdu accent. If you wanna watch the movie just to criticize it you should absolutely watch it but if you wanna watch a movie for entertainment purpose you'll just waste your time and money

I usually do not review movies but this movie made me do it because it was so bad that I had a strong urge to vomit it out of my ears and eyes. The movie was a total waste of talent of some very good actors like Mikaal Zulfikar and especially my all-time favorite Qavi Khan. I have no idea how they accepted this movie with its script. The story was so bad that I don't even want to call those random nonsense bits a story. Dialogue was cheap and utterly substandard. Acting was pathetic, situations were unreal and forced. I don't know what the writer and director were trying to prove that two girls coming to the garage to stalk a mechanic and deliver double meaning cheap dialogues or a shirtless actor delivering dialogue like a robot to the father of the his girlfriend is going to make the movie an instant hit.

For the crew of the movie .... Please have a life and make something worth watching. There are many Pakistani films of past couple of years which can be presented at any international film festival.

If you have gone so low to write fake reviews please do yourself a favor, don't write it yourself and make a mess of it as well. Hire someone who is a little better writer than the writer of the movie himself. Make them more real because they too are as pointless and weightless as the movie.

Good Effort

I saw this movie last, almost didn't even watch it because i had terrible experience with Pakistani films this eid. Well I got to saw new faces, were decent good try. Lacked direction but had a lot of good parts and was extremely funny. Ali Kazmi did a very nice comic role. Qavi khan was good too. The girls were nice, over all for Pakistani cinema it looks like an uplifter very nice locations, good colors and etc

Please dont waste your money!!!

The people rating it 10 are its caste only. You can not watch it till the end if you have some taste in movies. I ran out of the theaters saying "lemme out lemme out".... "The new guy" probably commented himself saying he is amazing... his acting is so lame.. he didnt even bother to work on his accent.. Mikal should choose movies wisely. It seemed to me like it was some college project thrown in the market to recover some cost. Every person is trying to live up to the lame story and characters. Common sense is not to be found anywhere. silly crappy story line worst dialogues ever and even worst dialogue delivery. I asked my husband if this was the punishment he chose to give me... For the actresses, "Girls fancy dressing is no problem in movies these days but kindly when you have to wear sleeveless and when your legs are visible, please use some body makeup next time just in case you girls decide to appear ever again which you shouldnt tbvh".

I loved this movie! Two thumbs up! Finally a Pakistani film that actually entertains. Me and my foreign friends were laughing the whole time. It is a must watch for everyone, don't miss at any cost!

Horrible movie

The only best part was to watch Ali Kazmi acting - and it seems like his talent was not properly utilized.

The main hero - omg - who casted him - it was so annoying to watch after few minutes - I had to stop watching the movie.

I can't believe the bad reviews here, looks like they are from competition, lol. This movie was amazing, i have seen all four pakistani movies. This was the best, the new actors are very good for their first time. Mikaal is so gorgeous OMG!!! Ali Kazmi, keeps getting better! this is a must watch, don't let people tell you otherwise! Great JOB HUM FILMS!
