Good idea, but needed some work
alexszigeti26 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, the movie captured the high school life fairly well. But most of the actors were flat, and some of the characters were one-dimensional. And the dialogue was really forced sometimes. I didn't even understand how did Beni and Eszter come together. They didn't explore the romance between them. The twist was good, but the idea that the quiet kid is always a weirdo just reassures a harmful stereotype. Overall, I still think it's a good movie.

A great cinema experience
stvn-juhasz17 September 2018
I normally watch action movies in the cinema and others at home. Something told me that this drama/thriller is worth watching in the cinema - and boy, was I right.

The teen girls in the row behind me were giggling throughout the pre-movie commercials, but their laughs died a few minutes into RLSM. The film grabbed the whole screening room's attention and did not let go till the very end. The director had a great sense when to release the tension a bit and let the room laugh. Overall, this is a very well made, authentic movie with a gripping and relevant story. I was wondering the streets listening to the film's soundtrack (look up RLSM on Spotify) for hours afterwards, immersed in the movie's world. Which, you realise, is the real world.

I expected a bit more

I'm a big fan of foreign movies. I've run into this one accidentally. I can't really say I'm happy with how it ended, since there were weird turns since the beginning. Predictable plot at some point. There are other good movies to watch. The acting was also disappointing, but a good thriller nonetheless.

Masterpiece - became one of my all time favorites
tomisz-873242 October 2020
From an ordinary teen drama, to a gripping thriller. I tried to avoid any information about this movie, before watching it, and this was a very good choice. When you think, that you know where the story runs out, it takes a total turn back, and it's not annoying, and don't gives you the feeling, that the film is just bluffing. The twists in the plot was perfectly placed in the story line. The cast is just breathtaking, full of new faces, and everyone gives their very best. This movie is a beautiful example of the creative and wholehearted movie making, with slight money, but a lot of extraodinary ideas.

What should I take away from this?
olivgardiner3 October 2019
From the very beginning, it felt like a very basic story. A certain twist made it a little more interesting halfway through, but still it was barely more than yet another meaningless teen love story. The execution didn't make it special either, there's nothing remarkable about the way it was shot, or the dialogue. Apart from the main character girl, everybody felt plastic and one-dimensional. As someone who speaks Hungarian, I found the unnatural intonation distracting and some of the support acting was also really bad. The conclusion was anti-climactic and it's really unclear what this movie was trying to be about. Both the good and the bad deeds of the characters remained inconsequential.

4:3 ratio
gabiking14 September 2018
The film was shot in 4:3 ratio like a TV movie from 2003. However, the main idea of the film is like cyber-bullying, I think there is no bullying at all. The cause of the problems were bad decision which were totally illogical, but "what goes around comes around". There are one dimensional characters also, but Péter, one of the main characters, has thoughts, frustration. Eszter is intended to be an introverted girl, but she's totally not. The movie had its moments though. It was photographed well, I liked the colors, the feelings of the places. But I cannot agree with an introverted girl, who dances in the school's corridor.

The songs used in this film were selected carefully, I liked them. However, I would have used another ones in some cases.

The movie is some kind of mix between "13 reasons why" and "Cyberbully" spiced with "T@gged" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" a little, ending with "On body and soul".

It was worth watching this movie one time, I would maybe watch it later on some streaming service.

Teen story
Kirpianuscus8 April 2020
The only basic virtue is its realism. A story about teenagers, from the passion of a student for her teacher to the obsession of a colegii about her. The vad thing is the absence of message and the predactibility. A hivh Scholl story, Nice, dramatic, familiar but not convincing.

Needed idea, horrible realization
ceempa9 June 2019
The story is a really needed one on movie, that's messed up with bunch of talentless actors and actresses (the main character was played pretty good), and horrible direction. The "Flipped" formula was rude, and I had a feeling like it's a bad version of "13 reasons why".

Not really working out.
MarkOfCaine26 March 2022
Let me first say that I am a great fan of Hungarian cinema. There are many good Hungarian moves, even great ones. This one is not one of them, it has some potential in the start, but the plot gets flimsy really fast.

The acting is OK, even though the actors are not famous (at least I haven't seen them in any other movies) Directing is pretty good too, you can feel the atmosphere, the story is delivered with a good pace, making the movie watchable at least.

But the scenario is unrealistic, full of holes, much of the plot is forced. Ending is also somehow lacking. I don't recommend it, except as a Hungarian lesson, as there is lot of useful slang / easy sentences.
