In a statement Wednesday, SAG-AFTRA says it has not been contacted about the accusations of a “toxic environment” on the Atlanta set of the Sylvester Stallone Paramount+ series “Tulsa King,” and that it also does not represent background actors in the city.
But the guild offered “to support with guidance” if background actors in Atlanta need it, and said “there is no room on any set for disparaging comments to background actors or any performers” on Wednesday.
On Monday, accusations began circulation on social media that over the weekend on the “Tulsa King” set, Stallone mocked background actors on set, calling them “fat” and “ugly” and asking for “pretty young girls” to be brought to the set.
Later that day, Catrett Locke Casting shared it had quit the project.

Back in 2022, Rolling Stone called 49 Winchester the “buzziest of buzz bands.” The Virginia group has made good on that moniker with their breakout album Fortune Favors the Bold and a string of high-profile gigs, culminating with the opening slot on Tyler Childers’ arena tour. On Tuesday, April 9 — 4/9 — 49 Winchester announced their next album, Leavin’ This Holler, with the release of the new song and video “Yearnin’ for You.”

‘Tulsa King’ Casting Company Quits After Sylvester Stallone Accused Of Disparaging Background Actors
An Atlanta-based casting company has left Tulsa King in the wake of allegations that Sylvester Stallone and one of the directors had disparaged some background actors who were working on the Paramount+ drama.
Rose Locke Casting of Atlanta was hired to find actors ages 18 and over for the second season of the Taylor Sheridan series. But apparently the working conditions on Tulsa King soon became fodder on a private Facebook page for Atlanta-based background actors; Stallone and an unnamed director were accused of calling some of the extras “ugly,” “tub of lard” and “fat guy with cane.” The recipient of the latter comment apparently said later that it “hurt his soul” to hear himself described that way on set.
Allegedly, Stallone then suggested that production bring in “pretty young girls to be around me,” instead.
Rose Locke Casting announced on its Facebook page Sunday that it was leaving the show.

Although the actor has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and is known for always tweaking his scripts, the actor has remained under-appreciated for this talent of his. We have seen Sylvester Stallone as a world-champion boxer, an ex-commando of the US Military, and even a battle-hardened mercenary on the big screen, all with amazing amounts of success. And when he turned to the silver screen to play the role of a mob boss in Paramount+’s hit show Tulsa King, people were excited to witness greatness, and the star didn’t disappoint.

The show was created by prolific showrunner Taylor Sheridan of Yellowstone fame, which gave this production a great amount of prestige usually associated with his work with all the production issues that come along with it.
In this show’s case, there have been no updates of a director being brought on to the show while the original showrunner Terence Winter returns to it as a writer after leaving the production almost a year ago due to creative differences.

After adding impressive viewership numbers to CBS‘s broadcast presentation of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King is making a similar move this summer. The acclaimed original Paramount+ drama Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone, will air its first season on CBS ahead of its Season 2 premiere this fall exclusively on Paramount+.
The move to bring Tulsa King to CBS hails from Paramount Global. Like Yellowstone’s CBS screenings, Paramount hopes to rope more people into watching Tulsa King. The original crime drama plays exceptionally well with Paramount+ subscribers, and expanding to CBS should increase the show’s power and influence before Season 2. The goal is to whet viewers’ whistles with the first season and hopefully entice them to subscribe to Paramount+ for the second. Hey, it worked for Yellowstone.

Sylvester Stallone may be brought to WrestleMania Xl, the 40th edition of the supershow, which is set for Philadelphia on April 6 and 7, according to WrestleVotes.
There is interest in working with Stallone “in some form”, according to the report, and WWE sources “hope” that the partnership will work out. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the actor informed WWE of a scheduling conflict, suggesting that this optimism may have been misplaced. Sly, Sylvester Stallone’s career-spanning documentary for Netflix, recalling the action icon’s famous performances in Rocky to Rambo to The Expendables, is set to close the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 16 with a world premiere at Roy Thomson Hall.
While a Netflix title, Sly is a documentary film not covered by the SAG-AFTRA TV and theatrical agreements, so the Hollywood actor, writer, director and producer could potentially be in Toronto to walk the red carpet, though his presence is not assured amid the actors strike.
Stallone’s retrospective in Toronto follows a career resurgence on TV where he stars in the Paramount+ dramedy Tulsa King, which has been renewed for a second season, and his Paramount+ family reality show, The Family Stallone, which just finished airing its eight episodes and has also been renewed for a second season.

“Yellowstone” fans are dealing with a news drought these days. The paucity of information on when, or even if, the Western drama will return for the final half of its fifth season has caused great anxiety among the fan community, and the uncertainty has been exasperated by the writers’ strike.
Series co-creator and multihyphenate talent Taylor Sheridan spoke in-depth about the situation with The Hollywood Reporter. The interview featured some fascinating insights, but perhaps none more important to viewers than the news that “Yellowstone” Season 5, Part 2 is still on the way; in fact, it could be a bit longer than originally planned.

Sylvester Stallone knows a thing or two about sequels, from the Rocky and Rambo franchises to The Expendables and a forthcoming Cliffhanger reboot.
The latest follow-up on the three-time Oscar nominee’s résumé is a second season of The Family Stallone, the Paramount+ reality series featuring Stallone; his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone; and their daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet. The streamer’s pickup comes just a week after the series premiered.
The unscripted show is Stallone’s second at Paramount+; he also stars in Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter’s Tulsa King, which has also been renewed for a second season.
The Family Stallone, like a number of celebrity docuseries before it, follows the family dynamics between Sly and Jennifer and their adult daughters. The show’s logline promises viewers “a seat at the table of one of Hollywood’s most famous families.”

In May, Paramount+ is will be the streaming home for a host of new titles, including the well-timed documentary “King Charles: The Boy Who Walked Alone.” Utilizing original footage and interviews with staffers and friends, this CBS News film provides an insider’s look at England’s newest ruler. Bullied by his father and the child of an unemotional mother, Charles grew up isolated from his parents, the product of, in the words of one friend, “a spectacularly dysfunctional family.” A behind-the-scenes look at his marriage to Princess Diana and his future as the British sovereign are explored on May 2, just days before his official coronation.

In "Tulsa King," Sylvester Stallone plays New York mob boss Dwight "The General" Manfredi, whose reward for keeping his mouth shut in prison for 25 years is a new piece of territory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. One character identifies it as "the middle of nowhere," a phrase that could just as easily be used to describe an actor finding his way in the streaming wilderness. For Stallone, who enjoyed a long career as a movie star before taking on his first regular TV role in "Tulsa King," that's not the only aspect of the character with parallels to his own life's journey.
It's easy to forget this, given how much Stallone's screen presence lends itself to caricature, but he's been nominated for three Oscars: two for best actor and best original screenplay with "Rocky," and one more for best supporting actor, almost 30 years later when he reprised his role as boxer-turned-trainer Rocky Balboa in "Creed.

Notes on a program:
So it was just completely coincidental that the announcement 92-year-old Rupert Murdoch would be marrying for the fifth time came the same week as the fourth season premiere of HBO’s “Succession,” right? Right? I’m sure there are worse excuses to get married. I am finally officially over my obsession that “The Bear” doesn’t have enough comedy in it to accurately qualify for Emmy consideration in the comedy categories. A great show is a great show, and if FX wants to enter it as a musical, or an informational series, or a cartoon, heck, it’s their call. It’s a superb piece of television, mega-intense and beautifully acted, directed and designed. It’s going to deserve whatever the TV academy deems worthy. SEEEverything to know about ‘Succession’ Season 4 I’m embarrassed to admit that the first time I laid eyes on a bus...

"Tulsa King" kept Freddie Poole busy. He was the stunt coordinator, doubled for Sylvester Stallone in most episodes, and handled second unit work for the Taylor Sheridan-created mob series. Poole, who's collaborated with Stallone for over a decade now, even directed a highlight in the debut season: episode 3's car chase through the streets of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Stallone's 76-year-old mobster is more calculated than quick whether he's throwing or receiving punches, which Poole helped depict in the stunts.
"Walker, Texas Ranger" launched his career, which includes projects like "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," "The Suicide Squad," and Jeff Nichols' next film, "The Bikeriders." Like most people in the stunt world, Poole has a lot of stories to tell. "Because of the nature of the business and where it takes us and who you work with and the time that we spend together on a set or outside of work,...

As the Sylvester Stallone drama Tulsa King gets renewed for a second season at Paramount+, Deadline has learned that the series showrunner for the first season, Terence Winter, will not be continuing in his position going forward. He will remain on board as executive producer, but Winter will now focus on other projects, which will include a streaming series with Martin Scorsese, whom he often collaborates with. As well as a limited series about the 1986 New York Mets, which is revealed to have been a passion project for the writer/producer.

“Swarm” has a release date. The Prime Video dramedy co-created by Donald Glover will premiere March 17, the streamer announced Friday. And along with the release date comes the show’s first teaser, which you can watch now above.

Set between 2016 and 2018, the story follows a Beyonce-like pop star’s super fan who experiences a life changing event and heads out on a cross-country journey.
The teaser starts off with Dre, played by Dominique Fishback, in an apparent possessed state, rocking back and forth as we hear a loud bee-buzzing sound in the background. Then a creepy voice asks ‘Who’s your favorite artist?”

Sylvester Stallone recruited many action stars for his financially successful The Expendables franchise. WWE megastar Stone Cold Steve Austin would eventually find himself pitted against Stallone in the first movie.
But when a sequence in the film led to Austin accidentally breaking Stallone’s neck, Austin might have panicked more than anyone.

Austin wasn’t exactly new to acting when he joined The Expendables. By then, he’d already had starring roles in features like The Condemned and Damage. But Expendables was one of the biggest films Austin ever participated in at the time. It saw the former WWE champion working alongside Stallone for the first time, who he had nothing but respect for.
“He knows action movies and he knows the product that he’s out to deliver,” Austin once said in an interview with Reel Rave.

Sylvester Stallone is a mafia capo who has just been released from prison after 25 years in the new Paramount+ series "Tulsa King." The series, which marks Stallone's first time working in scripted TV, comes to us from — let me give you a sec to think about this — Taylor Sheridan. It's very likely that you already guessed. Sheridan must have stock in a coffee bean farm or energy drink factory because he obviously doesn't sleep. His shows on the streaming service include "Yellowstone," "Mayor of Kingstown," the recently completed "1883," and the upcoming "1923," "Lioness," "6666," "The Land Man," and "1883: The Bass Reeves Story."
"Tulsa King" has Stallone's character relocated from his New York roots to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after his prison release. Though he doesn't seem happy about the new assignment, he will not let that stand in the way of success.

The Taylor Sheridan series will premiere with two episodes on Sunday, Nov. 13, on Paramount+, behind the Season 5 premiere of Yellowstone. It was shot — naturally — in Oklahoma.
“This was a very long, difficult, exciting, mind blowing production,” he added in his Ig post. “Thought it was a long time to be away it was worth it and to work with fantastic talent in front and behind the camera.”

“This was a very long, difficult, exciting, mind blowing production,” he added in his Ig post. “Thought it was a long time to be away it was worth it and to work with fantastic talent in front and behind the camera.”
