Netflix Episode Placement
Anonnamus17 September 2020
This was actually an enjoyable episode, a deeper look into the ball of sunshine that is Ella. I think this episode would have fared much better if you had placed it ANYWHERE in the season lineup other than after two epic finale episodes. I mean...why? It's like this poor episode was doomed to fail before it even began.

Breaks Continuity
erraticse11 July 2019
This is actually a decent episode where we get to know Ella better but it has a critical flaw: it completely breaks continuity with the plot line. I enjoyed it but I'd actually recommend skipping it and moving straight to season 4. This episode breaks continuity so badly I would consider it be non-canon.

Last two episodes are stand alone episodes.
klynn107529 May 2018
The last two episodes airing today are stand alone episodes that never aired. They do not continue the story from the finale last week. That is the reason why Chloe is acting "fine" with Lucifer. Those events haven't happened in these episodes.

Boo was edited to be the finale before 'The God' finale
juantufrfor31 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Decker, a person who doesn't believe in any supernatural events whatsoever, say's to Ms Lopez that she has seen much weirder stuff, much weirder (acknowledging seeing Lucifer). That scene may have been shot recently for continuation. However the rest of the episode was going to be in season four before the cancellation. It's just coincidence that Decker and Lucifer rarely see each other in the episode, only in a group and it seems like the sort of conversation they would have in private. Hopefully Netflix saves the show and we get to see that.

This is why Lucifer is so loved. A sneak peak into S4, if it gets made.
bengel-8034929 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Viewers & reviewers that think Boo Normal was a stand alone with no connection to Season 4 weren't paying attention. Chloe does allude to having seen the devil face when Ella tells her see sees a ghost. We also meet a new character in Azriel. Lucifer has also changed since we'd last seen him in S3 finale. He's a softer devil, taking the time to actually sit down and and talk to Ella about what interests her. I'd love to see the episodes that brought them there.

Part of what makes this show so loved is the love on display. Acceptance is everywhere. We all have our demons but the show Lucifer shows we can all be loved in spite of that. We can all grow in the process. It's also very entertaining, well written & acted.

Good for what it is...

Good for what it is, terrible for following that finale. Rather just had ended without throwing this disappointment out there.

Pros & Cons
mattyrogers-1802329 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The pros: The episode was fun. I liked watching Lucifer & Dan working together & I loved seeing Ella get more screen time. Also I am totally loving Luci's newest sibling Azrael. The Cons There was only one & it's one that was on my mind the entire time I watched the episode. Lucifer was canceled & chances are it's not coming back and since this is not a series finale it doesn't give closure but envokes the thirst for more. Gonna watch the 2nd one and hopefully it'll give me closure but doubting it since this was filmed before cancelation.

Are we going to address the elephant in the room?
Top_Dawg_Critic29 May 2018
Ok so I just started watching this episode after an epic previous one, so I have to ask... are we going to address the elephant in the room... errr or should I say address the devil in the room? How does Chloe go from seeing the real Lucifer to like nothing happened?? Shame the series is getting cancelled, even more shame that the writers are getting lazy with major plot issues! Not a good way to convince a network to renew the series.

Leftover Episode
CinemaSlant29 May 2018
This was an episode that wasn't aired and probably shouldn't have been. I felt the plot was thin and had a weird feel and direction to it. They were probably best to have left this episode on the shelf. However since Lucifer was cancelled...I have a feeling the studio wanted to air it so the entire collection could potentially be purchased by another company where Fox would have no ties to it.

Lets hope its picked up by another cable station. I wouldn't mind seeing the series get a bit darker and more risqué that only cable could provide. I can see this on Netflix with a 10 episode season. Honestly 24 episodes a season (26 with these last two) is kind of overkill in my opinion. Shorter season might improve quality and direction.

What is normal to a spider...
KikyNez31 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So, first of all: #SaveLucifer and #PickUpLucifer

Second: THERE WILL BE SPOILERS.

Let start this: I follow this series from the very begginning, I really loved the concept and I am a fan from Neil Gaiman' Sandman, and obviusly Lucifer.

At first I wasn't very sure about the series, but instantly I felt in love with the show, specially for Ellis' performance (so I took it as an alternate story for the graphic novel). I am not very convinced with the precedural part, I wish the writers had made more enphasis on characters and backstory. There's a lot they would do with Maze.

This episode give me something that I wis on that, and I knew a little more about Ella López. This is not a character I like, but, certainly I see her with others eyes now.

It was awesome the introduction of "Ghost" Rae-Rae, a.k.a Azrael(Angel of Death). This character would be awesome to develop in a familiar relationship with er two brothers. Charlyn did it so cool. By the end, when the twist revealed me who she was I was really wanting to have more of Rae-Rae.

Another turn was the way Chloe understood Ella's "issue", she is her friend... and actually is working with the devil (even if she doesn't belive him, she knows Lucifer can "do things").

A shame Fox cancelled the show, this episode was a door to more in a subsequent fourth season... which I wish some streaming network make happen!

Along with the episode 24, this one is on my favourites from this "Last" season.

For me 9.5/10

Loved it

Confused
xsargon12 July 2019
Why was this aired after the previous episode? It is completely out of order and makes no sense why it follows the ending of the last episode. None of the things that happened previously were addressed

Lover of it
vanessa-lokesl7 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A nice standalone episode. As a bonus, it made me love Ella so much more. Read the trivia of this episode before judging it.

The crime story was not that great, but the underlying story of azriel, how lucifer figured out his sister the angel of death was around cos Ella said her catchphrase was the sweetest.

Overall, sweet episode as a bonus

I love this episode
simoneblue12 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
We needed an Ella episode. She is by far the best person on the show in terms of sweetness and love, and she deserves the world. It was so precious to see her and Lucifer together. They just love each other and their friendship is the purest. And when she said she might consider moving, I love how he was just astonished and said "Don't you DARE go." Everything Ella touches is just a thousand times better, so much so that angels can't resist her light. I love this episode, this girl, and this show. And somehow, without even seeing Azrael before, this show made me cry over her. The fact that she can't be with those she loves, so she brings them together so they can love each other, it breaks my heart. She is a wonderful character and I hope we see her in the future because she seems to be the only sibling that loves, misses, and cares for Lucifer.

It was amazing
RachelBrian29 May 2018
I love it, I wish it was the next show after the cliffhanger they left us with, but it was independent from that which was alright. This was the reason why I watched all three seasons and want season four. The joy, love and humor this show brings is something else.

Charlyne Yi is great
GomezAddams66624 July 2020
This episode was amazing.

It felt weird when it aired after FOX had cancelled Lucifer as it was supposed to be in Season 4, but we are very lucky it was aired.

This was one of the funniest episodes, very Ella-centered, it is great to see Lucifer and Dan being stupid together, but my favorite is Charlyne Yi.

Her portrayal was fantastic, upbeat, genuine and funny.

We need to see her again.

What????
jmgguerreiro3 July 2018
What was that? That episode is completely out of the series. It was better to have finished the series in the previous episode.

Underrated Episode
ranpittjr9 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Let's face it, it really sucks how out of place this episode is. One of those gaffes by the producers where one episode is not coherent with the time line, but after you get past that (albeit it takes some frustration) I love diving into Ella's life a bit. I put Aimee Garcia's performance in the entire series as maybe 3rd overall after Tom Ellis (Lucifer) and Lesley-Ann Brandt (Maze). Half the time, she is the comic relief in an already decently funny show, but she is completely different then any other character. All of their reveals that Ella has actually led quite a life despite her sunny disposition really makes her one of the better characters. Taking 1 episode to explore her more, and then connecting her to Lucifer through Azreal is great. I did not see the "Azreal" connection until it was explained, and then there is Azreal herself who, much like Ella, is kinda fun, totally awkward and the perfect Ella compliment, but she is the Grim Reaper. The angel of death is basically a high school slightly goth outcast... love it. I wish this was more in line with the series rather than a time line issue, but even still, I love this episode, top 5 in the series for me

Love the show, hate where this episode is
graberr4 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I do love the show but my hatred for where this episode lies in the order of the season is much greater. After the dramatic chase of Cain and the end of Charlotte, Chloe is absolutely floored and finally actually believes Lucifer. And after the biggest piece of development and cliffhanger of the series you stick two standalone episodes that didnt air? That's a slap in the face despite them being good episodes. I came on IMDb to see if these were in correct order and am relieved but annoyed to find the explanation.

Lumped in?
cbrook-0841910 September 2019
When I heard Lucifer was cancelled before season 3 finished they had two unaired episodes that they finished for a fourth season, so they lumped it with with season 3, making it longer then it should be... But this is still worth watching.

Stand Alone Episode
ashurley-6909928 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This stand alone episode is ok, but the best part is Ray Ray telling Lucifer that she has been visiting Ella since her accident. Then telling hi she wanted her two favorite people to be together.

episode 25 and 36 are stand alone episodes which add nothing - BIG disappointment
karen-heffernan29 May 2018
Thank you to klynn1075 who revealed that eps 25 & 26 happened before the events in episode 24. I get that the producers probably wanted to release these since the series has been cancelled, but they add nothing to narrative, and only cause confusion and disappointment. They should have just let episode 24 end the series.
