So this movie is actually remake of bengali movie Praktan. If u have not watched the brilliant performance of Prasenjit Chatterjee & Rituparna Sengupta in Praktan then u will not feel missing of that magical performance in this film and might find this film interesting. This is a bit different story than typical films of these days. Although it is a slow paced movie so keep that in mind.....

Boy is a simple tourist guide from old delhi, who resides in a purani haveli. Girl is sweet, young n ambitious. She desires to be a writer. Both fall in love easily n get married instantly. But later girl feels suffocated n is unable to come to terms with her married life. So boy n girl decide to separate. What happens when they meet after some years? Watch #Jalebi for some decent performances n some emotional scenes. Running time needs to be reduced by 25 minutes. Rating 2.5/5.

Terrible movie, terrible plot and on top of that terrible acting. I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch this movie. Instead of watching this movie you can just look at your wall ceiling. No climax. Pathetic direction and dialogues.

Watched this movie thinking it would be a typical Bollywood boy meets stubborn girl kind of movie with no substance, however I was pleasantly surprised to find the direction and storyline of this movie. Unlike most Bollywood films this movie is relatable - there is no melodramatics or A-list stars, it just has a subtle storyline which in my opinion is ahead of its time. It is progressive whilst maintaining Indian authenticity, the female lead Aisha is a progressive character and the film manages to effectively demonstrate the challenges a marriage of two people with different aspirations can bring. It demonstrates the importance of a man & woman both staying true to themselves & not losing their own personalities or what's important to them just because they are married. It portrays a deep message of eternal love and compromise in such a simple yet effective manner. In my opinion the cast did superb & had me feeling their emotions. The ending thankfully wasn't rushed and left me feeling satisfied (I hate watching movies that leave you wandering). All in all a good movie & nice hidden gem!

I thought this film might have some depth but I was wrong. I think the only positive I saw was a skilled cameraman and cinematographer.
I saw this movie in 2018. The opening scene was very cringeworthy. The lead actress has a horrible voice and cannot act well. She's the type of girl that can be successful as an instagram influencer because she can choose exactly which angles and filters make her look good.
The actress doesn't come across as a young girl but rather the wife of a 40 year old sleazy used car salesman. Recently I found out that she as an inappropriate "friendship" with the 70 year old producer. Explains how she got the lead role.
The lead actor was pretty bad too. Overall, the movie was very boring and a complete waste of time.

Actually,at the start this movie is slow but after 30min it speeds up,The Story is Great but actually i did not like the way that they represent and most important Songs and Background Score is sometimes takes your mood,but when you like the film at that time some random scenes will appear and that will ruin your mood.I Kinda like the Acting of Rhea but she needs to improve it especially in the first shot when she is with her dad,if i was the director i would definitely retake that part.
I Like the script because at last it is not what it is like in movies it matches with Reality.i am rating 6 Just because the script and songs and i dont like the cinematography at all.

Movies like this redefine what love truly is. That every story need not have a happily ever after and that love is when you find happiness in the happiness of your lover. If you liked watching this one, you should also watch Meri Pyaari Bindu. I don't know why movies like La La Land are appreciated but when such a concept is used in India, those films neither get critical acclaim nor box office numbers. And that's why creators make those masala movies. Please support such love stories.

The story revolves around a tourist guide from old Delhi and a young girl from Mumbai who happens to follow the tour. They fall in love and without discussing about future, decides to get married and later face the consequences of the different lifestyle and exceptions they have. All move is kinda shot in just 2 major places, one the guys house and another is a the train the girl is traveling from. There is no twist in story, everything is predictable, no relation between the characters through out the film. Overall it is not what I expected from the song "Pal" about this movie. It starts boring as the acting is not at all good and the guy starts to sound annoying in some time. There isn't much logic behind the actions they make for their life in the story as well. I wouldn't recommend watching this movie in theaters, on top of that, even if you are watching is on blue ray, I am pretty much sure you would love to skip to the end and just say it to yourself that some how you made it to the end.

A well written story of modern couple who try to adjust to each others reality and part off when they realise that in the long run thier relationship will not work.
In the end they are satisfied with thier decisions but a bitter sweet good buy always hurts when they accidentally encounter EACH other on a train.. IMHO it's a good take and needs to be said kind of story.. Do watch it once.
Over all everyone has played thier part very well Very good sound track Some songs will be memorable and set the overall tone of the story

I was able to complete this movie in 3 sittings.
It's an unconventional love story with an unconventional narration style. The actors have done a good job, the lead actors go through some tough times and the acting is not overdone.
What I like about the movie is that it keeps you guessing till the end and reveals bits of information one at a time.
What can be better is probably the narration style, a lot of people can drop out in the first hour owing to the slow pace or the lack of interesting turns.
Music is beautiful
