Standing at little over six minutes Rubes is an award winning short, but apparently aren't they all!?
A comedy horror it sees two disgruntled employees exacting revenge on people who did them wrong by using a rube goldberg machine. For those unfamiliar with what that is I assure you that you'll have seen plenty. You know where for example a ball rolls and knocks into something which triggers something else, that causes dominos to fall and the last one falls on a switch which triggers a catapult that fires a marble into a button and so forth.
The two men take such pleasure in what they're doing, but in a scientific accomplishment way more than sadistic. They have casual banter as they get their fatal revenge on the pair they've kidnapped and honestly it's hilarious.
See I'm not sure if this could possibly be made into a feature as it's successful here as mere sketch but damn it's so good what would be the harm in trying.
Very funny and likeable for the fantastic comedy elements.

I swear this should be more of a thing, an annual tournament, rube Olympics! Limitless possibilities, remarkable levels of ingenuity, fascinating to participate in and highly enjoyable to watch.
The finale resulting in someone's death optional.
