- Nora West-Allen: You really hate him, don't you?
- Barry Allen: Do you not know what he did?
- Nora West-Allen: I know he was your archenemy.
- Barry Allen: He killed my mother in our home when I was eleven years old. An eleven year old boy. You know why he did it? He thought if I suffered a tragedy that was horrific enough, I'd never recover and never become The Flash.
- Nora West-Allen: I - I didn't know that.
- Barry Allen: There's probably a lot that's happened to me that's not in the Flash Museum.
- Nora West-Allen: It's why you didn't want me to come with you, isn't it? It's not because it was dangerous or because of the timeline, but because you didn't want me to know these awful things about you, so it's not what I would remember most when I went back. You don't have to protect me from this stuff.
- Barry Allen: Yes, I do.
- Nora West-Allen: No, you don't.
- Barry Allen: Yea. Yes, I do. You're my daughter.
- Nora West-Allen: Yeah, and you're my father, and I just want to know my father.
- [hugs Barry]
- Eobard Thawne: What do you want?
- Barry Allen: [holding up the broken transmitter] I need you to fix this for me.
- Eobard Thawne: No... no, if you're here... and he's here... that means...
- Barry Allen: You don't get home.
- Eobard Thawne: I get home! I get home. I go home! I get everything...
- Barry Allen: You don't go home, Thawne. Unless you help me.
- Barry Allen: Okay, look. Follow my lead. Don't go off-book. If anything goes wrong, do exactly as I say.
- Nora West-Allen: Do things usually go wrong?
- [they take off into the accelerator; watching in the Cortex, Ralph turns on Huey Lewis' "Back in Time"]
- Ralph Dibny: [seeing everyone's looks] What? When am I gonna have the chance to do that?
- Cisco Ramon: [turning it off] Hey, game face.
- Ralph Dibny: All right, so what do we do while they're gone? Do we stake out the hospital, get everything ready here, what?
- Iris West-Allen: Nothing. They're gonna return to the exact same moment that they left.
- Ralph Dibny: Wait, so they're gonna go, but to us it'll be like they never left?
- Cisco Ramon: Yep. Time travel's weird, isn't it?
- Barry Allen: [escaping from Zoom, the transmitter breaks upon his exit from the Speed Force] No, no. No! Damn it! I knew we shouldn't have done this. Now we have no way to stop Cicada. I mean, I don't even know when we are.
- Nora West-Allen: Dad! Dad, we can fix this.
- Barry Allen: I can't fix this, Nora. Cisco can't even fix this. This is Wells' tech.
- Nora West-Allen: Well, let's go back to Wells.
- Barry Allen: We can't. Harry's... Harry's mind isn't what it used to be.
- Nora West-Allen: No, I don't mean that Wells. I mean the one that built the particle accelerator.
- Barry Allen: That's not Wells. That is Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash.
- Nora West-Allen: I know. It's just that he's really smart, so I thought maybe we could convince him to help us.
- Barry Allen: No! Okay, look, no. The only person Thawne ever helps is himself.
- Eobard Thawne: What do you want?
- Barry Allen: Like I said, you're gonna fix this for me.
- Eobard Thawne: To do what?
- Barry Allen: Drain dark matter.
- Eobard Thawne: Whose dark matter?
- Barry Allen: None of your business.
- Eobard Thawne: It is my business.
- Barry Allen: No, it's not.
- Eobard Thawne: There's no chance that I help you...
- Barry Allen: It's none of your business!
- Nora West-Allen: Cicada's!
- Eobard Thawne: Cicada's. The one who got away.
- Eobard Thawne: You want to destroy Cicada's dagger, don't you?
- Barry Allen: We want to save lives.
- Eobard Thawne: [laughing] You want to save lives. I bet you do. I bet you do. Especially your own, right, Barry Allen?
- Barry Allen: Look, that me, he's gonna wake up soon. He sees me standing here, your whole timeline is gonna be blown to hell. You're never gonna get home. You know that's true!
- Eobard Thawne: I know! I know!
- [calming down, he turns to Nora]
- Eobard Thawne: Where are my manners? Can I get you a cup of water?
- Eobard Thawne: So, who made this?
- Barry Allen: Someone smarter than you.
- Eobard Thawne: [laughing] I doubt that. You know, Allen, for your plan to work, you're gonna actually have to have his dagger in your possession.
- Barry Allen: We've got that covered.
- Eobard Thawne: You've got that covered. How's that?
- Nora West-Allen: With this.
- Eobard Thawne: [moving to touch it] Is it... is that...
- Barry Allen: A piece of Savitar's suit, yeah.
- Barry Allen: You got what you want, Zolomon.
- Hunter Zoloman: [noticing Nora] And who is this?
- [Barry subtly, but instinctively, stands in front of her protectively]
- Hunter Zoloman: Another speedster.
- Eobard Thawne: You know what's funny about your dad, Nora? He hates me. Hates me with a passion. And yet a version of him is Savitar. Much bigger jerk than I ever was. Did you see the face? Did you see the pizza face...
- Barry Allen: Can you hurry up?
- Eobard Thawne: [returning to work] Yeah, I'll hurry up. I gotta tell ya, Allen, you know, using Savitar's suit, smart idea.
- Barry Allen: It was hers.
- Eobard Thawne: [glancing at Nora] Clever girl.
- [he repairs the transmitter, then sees the Barry in the Time Vault is about to wake up]
- Eobard Thawne: Oops. Gotta go. I still look forward to seeing how this all pans out.
- Barry Allen: [watching his parents with Nora] They were the best.
- Nora West-Allen: Dad. Dad, I didn't...
- Barry Allen: It's all right. I understand.
- Nora West-Allen: Do you ever think about stopping what's about to happen?
- Barry Allen: Every day.
- Nora West-Allen: Thanks for bringing me with you today. It meant a lot.
- Barry Allen: I'm glad you came.
- Nora West-Allen: Hey, old man, come on.
- [speeding away]
- Nora West-Allen: Come on.
- Barry Allen: Old man?
- Barry Allen: I know when we are.
- Nora West-Allen: [seeing a version of the Flash knocked out] Oh!
- Barry Allen: Leave him, leave him. The less we mess...
- Nora West-Allen: Mess with the timeline, I know.
- Barry Allen: I know what this is. Three years ago, I traveled back to this day, to get Thawne's help.
- Nora West-Allen: So you have done it before.
- Eobard Thawne: [dissolve to the Time Vault; they phase in behind him] Well. Things just got a lot more complicated, didn't they?
- Eobard Thawne: Barry Allen. But which Barry Allen? Clearly, you're... from a lot later than this one.
- Barry Allen: Way later.
- Eobard Thawne: Way later.
- [glancing at Nora]
- Eobard Thawne: Who's your friend? Let me guess. Jesse Chambers. No. Maybe Lawrence. Wait. Danica Williams.
- Barry Allen: It doesn't matter who she is.
- Eobard Thawne: [realizing] She's your daughter. You've brought me your daughter. It's, um... Dawn, if I'm not mistaken.
- Nora West-Allen: Nora.
- Eobard Thawne: Nora. Oh, that's nice. At least you still have one.
- Ralph Dibny: [surveilling Orlin] How many you shoot?
- Sherloque Wells: Shot, like, a hundred.
- Ralph Dibny: Any of them good?
- Sherloque Wells: Boof.
- Ralph Dibny: Guess we'll just have to keep shooting 'till we get it right.
- Sherloque Wells: I guess so.
- Ralph Dibny: Near as we can tell, he grew up in the Midwest. In and out of juvie, pretty much fell off the map, and then popped up in Central City a few years ago.
- Sherloque Wells: Part-time employee of Szrek Chemicals for the last two years.
- Ralph Dibny: Foreman says he keeps to himself, pretty much a loner, gave a fake address.
- Sherloque Wells: Did take custody of his niece.
- Ralph Dibny, Sherloque Wells: Grace Gibbons.
- Sherloque Wells: After her parents were unfortunately murdered by a meta-human, now...
- Ralph Dibny: So now we know why Dwyer hates metas. Once he got his powers, he started targeting them.
- Sherloque Wells: Powers that he got the night of the Enlightenment, as we all know, and he was struck by a shard from the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite explosion.
- Ralph Dibny: Which was also the same night that Grace went into a coma.
- Sherloque Wells: Where Dwyer visits her every day, every night, for the last three weeks.
- Barry Allen: So he's there now.
- Ralph Dibny: [simultaneously with Sherloque] Yeah.
- Sherloque Wells: Oui.
- Barry Allen: Then let's go get him.
- Sherloque Wells: As always, I respect your spirit, Barry Allen, but as long as Cicada has his dagger to dampen your powers, there's no stopping him.
- Barry Allen: So let's destroy his dagger.
- Ralph Dibny: How are we gonna do that un... unless we have some kind of power-dampening dagger power dampener hidden away in storage?
- Cisco Ramon: We don't, but if we did, we'd come up with a much better way of saying that.
- Nora West-Allen: What if we could make one?
- Barry Allen: Make one what?
- Nora West-Allen: What if we can make a weapon more powerful than his weapon? Cicada can control his dagger, so what we would need would be something more powerful than his connection to it.
- Iris West-Allen: Wait, like... like some kind of supercharged magnet?
- Nora West-Allen: Exactly.
- Cisco Ramon: I don't know if we have anything strong enough for that. We made Sally out of a micro-composite alloy. As far as satellites go, she's... she was heavy-duty.
- Caitlin Snow: And even if we could get our hands on the dagger, we'd still have to figure out how to take the dark matter out to negate its powers.
- Sherloque Wells: Well, exactly right. I mean, what you're suggesting is we find an alloy... no, no, uh... indestructible alloy that has super magnetic properties but also has the ability to negate dark matter. I mean, where are we going to find such a thing?
- Nora West-Allen: The past.
- Nora West-Allen: You've already come across everything that we need, right? A strong alloy with magnetic properties.
- Cisco Ramon: Savitar's suit.
- Nora West-Allen: Something to remove dark matter.
- Caitlin Snow: The Speed Force transmitter that Zoom used to steal Barry's speed.
- Iris West-Allen: Yeah, but that was his Speed Force.
- Nora West-Allen: Yeah, but those are exotic particles, which are basically the same thing as dark energy, so we would just need some of that to recalibrate it.
- Ralph Dibny: Can... can you do that?
- Cisco Ramon: I mean, you'd have to infuse the transmitter with the same kind of dark matter.
- Ralph Dibny: Like the DeVoe kind?
- Cisco Ramon: More like the particle accelerator kind.
- Ralph Dibny: I'm sorry, we... we need to blow up S.T.A.R. Labs again?
- Nora West-Allen: No, no, not again. We just need to go back to the first time that it happened.
- Barry Allen: This is gonna mess with the timeline too much.
- Nora West-Allen: No, no, no. No, it's not. Savitar's suit, the transmitter, these are all just discarded objects in time, so if we steal them, it won't affect anything at all.
- Ralph Dibny: Even if all of that worked, we can't just waltz into the hospital with our soon-to-be-named dampening device. Dwyer smells us coming, he's... he's gone.
- Nora West-Allen: Then we do a time hack.
- Ralph Dibny: A time hack?
- Sherloque Wells: It's when you...
- Cisco Ramon: Plant something in the past so it's available in the future. You go back, you take the device, and you... hide it near the hospital, somewhere it won't be found for five years. He won't even know it's there.
- Sherloque Wells: So, you and your father go back to the past to defeat Cicada in the future. What an... off-the-cuff plan you've come up with.
- Nora West-Allen: We can do this.
- Barry Allen: No. I can do it.
- Barry Allen: You're not coming with me.
- Nora West-Allen: Why?
- Barry Allen: Every time I try something like this, I nearly get killed.
- Nora West-Allen: Well, yeah, all the more reason for me to come with you, so that I can watch your back so you don't get hurt.
- Barry Allen: It's too risky with the timeline. All right, look, time travel is... it's complicated.
- Nora West-Allen: I know! I've already done it.
- Barry Allen: And look what happened.
- Nora West-Allen: [hurt] Look. I just want to fix what I screwed up. Okay? What I did. Please let me come with you.
- Barry Allen: Not today.
- Barry Allen: You think she should come with me?
- Iris West-Allen: Yeah, Barry, I do.
- Barry Allen: Iris, if I do this, I'm going back to some crazy times. Savitar, Zoom, Thawne. Speedsters...
- Iris West-Allen: Who you've all outsmarted and defeated. Look, this was her idea, Barry. Her solution. And it's a good one. So unless you have a better reason why she should stay back, let her do this.
- Cisco Ramon: Okay, these are the best of times. Incidentally, they were also the worst of times, but in terms of going back, this is it. Savitar. When we defeated him, Barry phased into his suit, destroyed it, sending pieces of it flying far enough away that our past selves wouldn't notice if Barry took one or two pieces of it. What do you think?
- Caitlin Snow: Absolutely. Barry just has to get back into the Speed Force before the timeline catches up and those pieces get erased from existence.
- Cisco Ramon: [circling May 23, 2017] I'm fairly optimistic.
- Ralph Dibny: Okay, what about the Speed Force transmitter thingy?
- Caitlin Snow: The night that Zoom injected the Speed Force into himself, he left the Speed Force transmitter in the viewing room.
- Cisco Ramon: [circling Aprijl 19, 2016] Yes, that's brilliant. All he has to do is make sure no one's in there when he takes it.
- Ralph Dibny: What about when the particle accelerator exploded?
- Cisco Ramon: Well, right before everything went sideways, Wells was in the Cortex, and we...
- [remembering Ronnie]
- Cisco Ramon: We were in the Pipeline intake.
- Caitlin Snow: That's the best time for Barry to go into the Time Vault. He can put a piece of Savitar's suit in the plinth and when the critical accelerator explodes, it should infuse it with dark matter.
- Cisco Ramon: [circling December 11, 2013] Right. So, once that's done, we'll have all the pieces we need to make the device, we plant it in the hospital, the rest is history.
- Sherloque Wells: What is this?
- Cisco Ramon: What is that, Nora's journal? What, are you stealing now?
- Sherloque Wells: No. Yes, but for good reason.
- Sherloque Wells: Look at this code. Have you seen this code before?
- Cisco Ramon: Yeah.
- Sherloque Wells: Yeah. When?
- Cisco Ramon: Right after Barry came out of the Speed Force a year ago.
- Sherloque Wells: And did you decipher the code?
- Cisco Ramon: Well, my computer did. Just one sentence.
- Sherloque Wells: [leaning to look at the monitor] Ahh! Well...
- Cisco Ramon: [backing him off] Hey. Listen here, space invader. Why don't you try returning the thing to her and then asking her?
- Sherloque Wells: Of course.
- Cisco Ramon: Of course.
- Sherloque Wells: Of course.
- Cisco Ramon: Right.
- Sherloque Wells: Makes sense.
- Barry Allen: All right. Let's do it.
- Cisco Ramon: Cool.
- [tossing him a ring]
- Cisco Ramon: You're not gonna wanna forget this. Had to make some adjustments to the suit, but I finally figured it out. For emergencies only. You don't want to get caught running around the past in your future Flash suit.
- Barry Allen: Right.
- Cisco Ramon: You might get ideas.
- Barry Allen: Thank you.
- Cisco Ramon: You're welcome.
- Barry Allen: [as glances at Iris, she nods at Nora] Come on.
- Nora West-Allen: [arriving in the past] Are you sure we're in the right place?
- [they see Savitar speed by]
- Nora West-Allen: Is that Savitar?
- Barry Allen: That's him.
- Nora West-Allen: [hearing a noise nearby] What was that?
- Barry Allen: A Time Wraith. They protect the timeline. I've gotta get out of here. Nora, you're gonna have to get the shard, okay? Meet me in the forest where we first arrived.
- Barry Allen: Did you get it?
- Nora West-Allen: Yeah, I got it.
- Barry Allen: Nice job getting that into the Speed Force on time.
- Nora West-Allen: Nothing to it. Dad, about Savitar.
- [a blue streak speeds by]
- Barry Allen: This is right. 2016.
- Nora West-Allen: How do you know?
- Barry Allen: Because that was Zoom with Wally. I'm about to lose my speed. Come on.
- Barry Allen: [finding Zoom's transmitter isn't where it should be] Come on...
- [hearing a plasma gun charge, he turns to find Harry behind him]
- Dr. Harry Wells: Well, you change quickly.
- Barry Allen: What?
- Dr. Harry Wells: Out of your suit.
- Barry Allen: [playing along] Yeah, no, I... yeah, it was... just too weird being in it without my speed.
- Dr. Harry Wells: That's your own damn fault, isn't it?
- Barry Allen: I guess so.
- Dr. Harry Wells: I know so.
- Barry Allen: What are you looking for?
- Dr. Harry Wells: I'm looking for... I'm looking for anything to help me find my daughter, all right? Just...
- [clattering his plasma gun around]
- Dr. Harry Wells: I don't have my daughter. You don't have your speed. Zoom has Caitlin, and this whole thing... this whole thing is going to hell in a handbasket.
- Barry Allen: [seeing he's about to smash the transmitter] No, wait! Wait, wait. Her frequency.
- Dr. Harry Wells: What?
- Barry Allen: Jesse's frequency. People from Earth-2 vibrate at a different frequency. Maybe you can track her that way.
- Dr. Harry Wells: [forcefully handing back the transmitter as he leaves] Figure out a way to find Snow.
- Nora West-Allen: Did you get it?
- Barry Allen: I got it. Let's build this thing.
- Zoom: [appearing before them] You're not going anywhere, Flash.
- Nora West-Allen: Why are we going this way? Why don't we just speed into the Time Vault?
- Barry Allen: Because it's a big moment, Nora. Thawne's been planning this night for fourteen years. If we use our speed, he'll feel it.
- Nora West-Allen: [a la Darth Vader] Feel a disturbance in the Speed Force?
- Nora West-Allen: [stopping her from provoking a not-yet-powered Grodd] I wouldn't do that.
- Cisco Ramon: Dr. Wells, the accelerator is primed and ready for particle injection.
- Eobard Thawne: I feel I should say something profound, like "one small step for man."
- Nora West-Allen: [quietly] What's happening?
- Barry Allen: Wells is about to blow up the city.
- Eobard Thawne: All I can think of to say is I feel like I've waited for this day for centuries.
- Cisco Ramon: You got us on pins and needles here, Dr. Wells.
- Eobard Thawne: It's exciting, isn't it?
- Cisco Ramon: Yeah.
- Eobard Thawne: Well, it's all thanks to the team, right? Caitlin, fiancée Ronnie, Hartley.
- Cisco Ramon: Hmm...
- Eobard Thawne: Hartley contributed. But especially you, Cisco. I have to say, I have a vibe about you. About... what you're destined to become. I want you to know I'm very eager to be along for that adventure.
- The Flash: Cicada.
- Cicada: Is that what you call me?
- The Flash: Not all meta-humans are responsible for what happened to Grace.
- Cicada: Yes, they are. The destruction they cause, the death, the pain.
- The Flash: I know about pain and death, taking it out on the world. That's not gonna help. Think about Grace.
- Cicada: She's all I think about, Flash. And I'm making the world safe for her. Every meta-human must go.
- The Flash: Then what about you? You're a meta-human now.
- Cicada: I am, and after you're gone, I'll join you. All four of you.
- Ralph Dibny: [seeing Barry and Nora return] Did you even go?
- Cisco Ramon: I told you time travel was weird.
- Iris West-Allen: Everything worked?
- Nora West-Allen: Yeah.
- Barry Allen: Is Dwyer still at the hospital?
- Caitlin Snow: Hasn't left her side.
- Cisco Ramon: Did you plant the transmitter?
- Nora West-Allen: Yeah, we sure did.
- Barry Allen: Let's go get Cicada.
- Gideon: Good evening, Nora West-Allen.
- Nora West-Allen: Gideon, another data entry.
- Gideon: [scanning the entry] Entry uploaded and recorded. Shall I send it to the same recipient?
- Nora West-Allen: Yes.
- Gideon: Entry sent. Would you like assistance with anything else?
- Nora West-Allen: Yes, send a personal message from me.
- Gideon: What would you like it to say?
- Nora West-Allen: Actually, I'll deliver it myself.
- [arriving at Iron Heights in 2049]
- Nora West-Allen: We need to talk.
- Eobard Thawne: Yes, Nora. Yes, we do.
- Gideon: Good evening, Barry Allen. I was not expecting you this soon.
- Nora West-Allen: She knows you?
- Gideon: I know you as well, Nora West-Allen. Also known as XS.
- Sherloque Wells: Forgive me, but couldn't help but notice this composition.
- Nora West-Allen: That's really nothing special.
- Sherloque Wells: But it feels like something special. I don't like to brag, but I speed a lot of languages and yet this one... this one I don't recognize.
- Nora West-Allen: It's a time language.
- Sherloque Wells: Time language, really?
- Nora West-Allen: It's used to record events regardless of changes in the timeline so no matter what happens I'll always remember my dad.
- Sherloque Wells: Hmm, where does one learn something like that? Time travel school?
- Nora West-Allen: I created it, actually.
- Sherloque Wells: You created it?
- Nora West-Allen: Mm-hmm.
- Sherloque Wells: Clever girl.
- Eobard Thawne: [to Nora West-Allen] Clever Girl
- Sherloque Wells: [Later in the same episode]
- [to Nora West-Allen]
- Sherloque Wells: Clever girl
