Andean Feelings

This movie is really touching, Wiñaypacha could be some of the most beautiful films that I've could ever seen, it tries to express the simplicity of the andean life, that sometimes life can be really hard and lonliness doesn't exist if you are with the person you love.

An intense real movie that deeply punched my soul.

Warning: Spoilers
Winaypacha makes you think... a lot. About many things. What are the real things, of life. Of having each other. Of having something to eat that comes from the earth... things we never think about - not even because we've forgotten them, we just don't know them anymore... The era we are living now is destroying us little by little... We are destroying ourselves, and the world we are living in. We say we love it, and we don't know the real value of it. The reality shown in this movie will make you think: at the beginning of everything. Where do we come from. Where everything started. Let's go back there... that maybe it's better. One of the best and most important movie I ever watched. Arrived in the right moment. Thank you.

SPOILER: ... the matches... the only detail gave them from our society... killed them.

Honesty and Sincerity

Strip away all of these skyscrapers, their glass windows, packaged meats, and cell-phones. Two people, really living next to one another, knowing both the comfort and horrors of life. Each swell of life's tide carrying out, just a little bit more away from the place they used to call home, makes the couple, and their life more valuable than any crest whitening strip, or gucci stiletto we worship in so many places.

If you're wishing for the real world, you'll find it here, haunting, unforgettable, and beautiful to the core even in the depth of its most terrible moments.

More lives would be valued, if more lives were given up for the loneliness of others. 🙏🏼Amen

Eternity

Sublime, exquisite, yet powerful and solid. This movie reveals life as its simplest state. It takes you in a ride through emotions, sometimes full of joy with no unfounded agony, with a huge prospect that endures any scourge of fate. Beautiful.

Brutally and brilliantly honest

I watched Wiñaypacha as I was reading Nietzsche's "Beyond Good and Evil". In chapter 5 he writes: "here as everywhere, Nature shows herself as she is: in all her extravagant and indifferent magnificence!" I believe it describes the sentiment of this wonderful film, perfectly. As you will notice from the reviews, you will either get it and love it or not get it and hate it. This brilliant film is a perfect illustration of the beautiful tragedy that life is.

Congratulations to Óscar Catacora for producing such an earnest masterpiece. I do hope it comes to get the recognition it deserves. I loved it!

I do not see the point!

Warning: Spoilers
This is going to be short and I apologize to the filmmaker but this film is an excellent tool to keep and pull out whenever you want to feel super depressed. I honestly do not see it. Yes, the old couple is devoted to each other. There is desperation and it is interesting how they look for answer whenever something bad happens. Its cultural value should definitely be recognized in that it is a film in the Aymara language. But, why?! I cannot recommend this to anyone. I just finished watching it and I feel awful. One bad thing happens. Then, another. And another, and another... Ok. That's probably it. NO! Another one and another one... I absolutely definitely cannot see the point. I want to forget about it already. I cannot imagine if that was the intention here. Because, otherwise, it another discussion and I do not see any good intention there. Stay away.
