It seemed like an ok showing of what a 'dazed and confused' looks like for aimless modern day teenage angsters looking to find their way. Not in the same league as dazed, fast times, the wildlife or graffiti, but fairly entertaining for the most part. Still holding on to the police-are-bad concept, it stumbless through what poor, but rich modern teens have to deal with in order to get their inspiration in life- between social media, inciting activist violence, and the next drug infested party. There are quite a few films like this out there, and none of them are awe-inspiring or glamorous. It does however, lend credence to where all the hunched-over zombies walking around the big cities come from; they must have struck out getting followers. I prefer the muscle car era for these types of films, personally. Less dreary, more fun.

There was no plot outside of Kurt Cobain's friend wanting to have sex with some classmate on their last day of their high school graduation. They made out every scene as incredibly serious even though at the end of the day it's just kids looking to party and the drama they experience trying to party.
Outside of that there was unnecessary lense flare in 66% of the scenes. The drug dealing scene was completely unrealistic, being pulled over by the cops, every following struggle was ridiculous. The director of the movie should take a long look at themselves and ask where they went wrong, the series of choices they made and everyone who supported them thinking this was a good idea. I made an account to review this and spend even more wasted time on the absolute cesspool of a production this was.

Irony. Any streaming series you pick today has main arcs, sub arcs, hidden arcs, long arcs, short arcs. Arc overkill. Because the #1 goal of any series in 2023 is to get renewed, to lockup both the audience and the cash flow. Deltopia is the opposite. The ambitious 1:45 runtime is almost all characterizations and not much on story. But it works. It holds the attention. It feels authentic. It engages. And it also works as a showcase for new talent who may one day have this in their Highlight Reels as a legit breakout performance. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer." A far superior high school film

Overall, this an incredibly enjoyable and well executed coming of age film. A far superior high school film than most, this story felt so real as it was based on true events and the filmmaking felt almost like a documentary in the way it was filmed. The editing DELIVERS and connects with the audience giving us time to recover from all the highs and lows. The score is amazing and the music keeps the pacing of the story pumping. I would absolutely recommend this movie. I think Luna Blaise, Madison Pettis, Hart Denton and Charlie Gillespie all have promising careers aead of them and I can't wait to see what comes next from all of them, including the directors/producers.

"Go" for this generation

I thought it was just going to be a party movie and it was anything but. It made fun of the college frat and sorority life and had great sense of non obvious dark humor in the writing. The characters all felt real and had depth, and the performances were impressive for this genre film. I like that parents didn't make an appearance in the movie, avoiding corny unneeded predictable scenes. It's about the teens, 24hrs, coming of age. The story felt raw, grounded and relatable. It was like watching parties and experiences I went through at that age. It had strong style and tone and is a great calling card for the first time directors.

Really loved this film. It was raw, relatable and very entertaining.
The dialogue can sometimes be vulgar and shocking but it does seem true to how teenagers spoke in 2014, so it only adds to the believability of the characters and the story.
All the actors give very impressive performances, my favorite stand outs being Luna Blaise (who plays Hannah) , Hart Denton (Who Plays Bones) and Will Peltz (who plays Slim). The characters are rich and interesting, which is a credit to the great writing.
The music, score and cinematography are all top notch. All in all it is a very impressive feature directorial debut by writer/directors Jaala Ruffman & Michael Easterling. Am eager to see what is next from them.

A coming of age story that goes down smooth

A movie for teens that doesn't ignore the very real concerns, fears, and triumphs they experience. The directors know how to shoot a film, the shot compositions speak for themselves & their ability to capture the character's vulnerabilities is present throughout. The shots made you feel like you were in the movie and the acting and casting was perfect. I was thoroughly entertained all the way through and it exceeded expectations. If you're looking for a fun party movie with nostalgia of your youth and an emotional aspect, this is a must watch. This film made me laugh, cry, then laugh and cry some more. A really good coming of age movie for this era.

Great coming of age film, filled with teen angst and emotion. Beautifully shot, with standout performances, music and pacing. Refreshing to see a film so authentic. It's a thrilling rollercoaster of emotions that captures the innocence of youth and the bold teen spirit wrapped In one.
It is one of those films that you just know you are seeing the beginning of some huge careers, from the stand out performances by the actors to the fearless first time directors. I am excited to see what's next from all involved.
I also have to mention the score which was so well done. Haunting at times to anxiety to tenderness, it was a character in of itself.

A Masterpiece of Authentic Teen Drama!

Absolutely adored this film! The performances, direction, music, and cinematography were exceptional. Finally, a teen film that authentically captures the essence of youth - from the raw yet genuine dialogue to the gritty frat house scenes, and the portrayal of delicate and beautiful female friendships. It's an outstanding movie! Luna Blaise and Madison Pettis, you both stole the show. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I was truly moved. The film had great pacing, storytelling and is destined to become a cult classic, and I couldn't be more excited. In a landscape craving quality teen dramas, "Deltopia" emerges as the perfect remedy.
