- The depiction of Vinayak's great-grandmother in the movie is extremely gory. She's shown as a demon, and a chilling amalgamation of visual effects and prosthetics make her look extremely graphic.
- In one scene, the great-grandmother is seen pulling a very large nail out of her face, and blood spills on the young boy.
- A man is caught by the demon and eventually cursed. We see him in a mutated form later attached to the wall of this 'different dimension' which is made entirely out of flesh. The practical effects in this scene make it look quite disturbing. Later, the demon pulls the man's hand off. Blood and gore spurt.

- The people who are 'cursed' by this demon become very mutated in appearance.
