Tori Spelling admits to being “swayed” to dislike former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star, Shannen Doherty. The two starred in the hit Fox series for four seasons before Doherty departed. Now, they are opening up about what caused tension between the two and if they have moved beyond it all. Keep reading for more details.
Tori Spelling Admits Being ‘Swayed’ To Dislike Shannen Doherty
Being on Beverly Hills, 90210, it was all about a group of very close friends who went from high school to college and what came after. In the midst of it all, they experienced the highs and lows that come with growing up. At the same time, the cast had its own ups and downs but the series managed to last ten seasons and spawn the most popular spinoff, Melrose Place. With twenty-four years having gone by since the series finale, some friendships have mended while others are still fractured.

Shannen Doherty is opening up about a scuffle she had with Jennie Garth on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210 — one that required two of their co-stars to step in to prevent the situation from escalating.
As Doherty explains in the March 4 episode of her Let’s Be Clear podcast, Garth was doing something called “Pants-Down Day, where she would pull the pants [of] some of the crew members in a funny way.” But according to Doherty, “some of them were getting pretty annoyed” by Garth’s prank, inspiring Doherty to pull one of her own.

Now that's the Chucky we know and love.
Chucky Season 2 Episode 4 was a unique hour that broke the fourth wall, introduced a bunch of celebrities, and showcased some big returns.
Off the bat, I wasn't interested in the show's attempt at bringing people from Jennifer Tilly's life into the orbit because I figured it would break the immersion of the series.
I couldn't have been more wrong because throwing Meg Tilly, Sutton Stracke, and Gina Gershon into the mix as heightened versions of themselves worked well to show that Tiffany is keeping up this ruse as the actress.
It reminded me of BH90210 in terms of the setup and how the series kept tipping the hat to the real world.
Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly have a lot of chemistry that continues to translate very well onto the screen, but I didn't peg Gershon as the butler killer.

At the 61st Monte-Carlo Television Festival, Jason Priestley looked back at the success of ’90s teen soap “Beverly Hills, 90210,” and explained why the 2019 reboot “BH90210” got canceled by Fox after one season.
“BH90210” was described by Variety as a “soapy parody” that gave “the actors behind our favorite characters the space to play versions of themselves while poking fun at the public personas, rabid fans and roles that made them famous.” It saw original series cast members Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty playing heightened versions of themselves, rather than their original characters. But it was a high stakes gamble that ultimately didn’t pay off, said the North Vancouver native.

Shannen Doherty has acted since she was a child, and throughout the 1980s, she worked steadily on television (as Jenny on “Little House on the Prairie”) and in movies (as Heather Duke in “Heathers”). In the early ‘90s, she achieved icon status after the slow-burn explosion of the teen soap “Beverly Hills, 90210,” which propelled its cast into the spotlight, and led the gossip press to follow their every move. After that initial blast of celebrity, Doherty continued to work prolifically in “Mallrats” (1995), “Charmed,” a tonnage of TV movies and more. She even starred in a 2012 reality show, “Shannen Says,” which followed her planning her wedding to photographer Kurt Iswarienko.

“NCIS: Hawai’i” has found its series lead in Vanessa Lachey, while also adding both Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon to the cast.
Lachey will star as Jane Tennant, the first woman Sac of NCIS: Hawai’i. She’s described as being as diplomatic as she is hard-charging. A woman in a male-dominated profession, she’s thrived in a system that’s pushed back every step of the way through equal parts confidence and strategy. But Tennant is more than just a job and a title. She’s a mother raising her kids mostly on her own. Like any parent who loves their career and their family – she’s a master juggler – balancing the duty to both her children and her country.
Lachey’s recent TV credits include “Call Me Kat” and “BH90210” at Fox, as well as shows like “30 Rock,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Truth Be Told” and “Dads.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 4, Episode 3 of “The Masked Singer,” which aired Oct. 7 on Fox.
“The Masked Singer” has said 9021-“no” to Brian Austin Green, who’s the third celebrity to be unmasked this season.
The “Beverly Hills 90210” alum, who had been disguised as the Giraffe, left the show on Wednesday night after performing “Get Down on It,” by Kool and the Gang. (Scroll down to watch his unmasking.)
None of the show’s panelists figured out that it was Green — including Robin Thicke, even though the two were childhood friends.
“We were best friends for like three years,” Green said. “We would spend every night either at his house or at my house. We went camping. We did all sorts of stuff together. If anybody was going to recognize my voice in this costume it was going to be him.

In the new series, when California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state – including Bayside High.
The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can't be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.
Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez are set to star in the new series, reprising their roles as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater.

Millennials haven’t fully ceded their cultural prowess to the zoomers just yet, although their younger counterparts may be too politically engaged to have time to binge watch “Breaking Bad” for a fourth time. Not only has the millennial penchant for nostalgia-watching kept cultural touchstones like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Wet Hot American Summer” alive in the cultural conversation, but it also continues to influence the kinds of newer projects that get made. That explains Disney’s live-action remakes of “The Lion King” and “Mulan,” but also shows like “BH90210” and “Fuller House.”

Even with the hundreds of scripted series currently airing on TV, you’d be hard-pressed to find one more ridiculous than the shows on this list.
From iconic trainwrecks like Cop Rock and My Mother the Car to more recent fails like Cavemen and BH90210, Team TVLine has assembled 20 ludicrous programs that span more than five decades. And while it shouldn’t shock you that Pamela Anderson starred in two of the series on our list, you might be surprised to hear that neither show is Baywatch.

Under normal circumstances, April TV ratings bring May cancellations and last-minute renewals, too. But in the “new normal” that the coronavirus pandemic has delivered us, there’s much more uncertainty about which broadcast shows will stay and which will go than in years past.
Mid-spring usually marks the time of year when at-risk series must sweat out their fates — sometimes right up until networks announce their fall schedules to advertisers at their upfront presentations in May. But those upfronts were canceled this year due to Covid-19 and we’ve yet to hear definitively if and when those “virtual” offerings that networks initially said they’d give in place of the glitzy in-person are happening.
Generally, top-performing shows from each broadcast network have already received their votes of confidence for another season, and the worst performers were snuffed out months ago. But then there are the bubble shows, programs that could...

CBS has ordered two more drama pilots, bringing its total to six so far for the 2020 development season. They are Good Sam, from writer Katie Wech (BH90210), Jane the Virgin creator Jennie Snyder Urman and her Sutton St. Productions; and Out The Door from 24 veteran Evan Katz and Jerry Bruckheimer Television. CBS Television Studios, where Urman and Bruckheimer are under deals, is the studio for both.
Written by Wech, Good Sam centers on a talented yet stifled surgeon who embraces her leadership role after her renowned and pompous boss falls into a coma. When he awakens and wants to resume surgery, however, it falls to her to supervise this overbearing blowhard who never acknowledged her talents — and also happens to be her father.
Wech executive produces with Urman and Joanna Klein for Sutton St. Productions.
Most recently, Wech was a writer on Fox’s summer drama series BH90210. Wech also wrote The Hypnotist’s Love Story,...

Shannen Doherty revealed that her breast cancer diagnosis has returned and reached stage 4 in an interview with Good Morning America Tuesday.
“I don’t think I’ve processed it,” Doherty said. “It’s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways… I definitely have days where I say why me? And then I go, well, why not me? Who else? Who else besides me deserves this? None of us do.”

Shannen Doherty has revealed that her breast cancer diagnosis has returned.
During an interview with ABC News which aired Tuesday on “Good Morning America,” Doherty said she’s at “stage four,” adding that “it’s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways.”
Doherty was initially diagnosed back in March 2015, and has been in remission for the last few years. As recently as August 2019, Doherty talked about being in remission during an interview with Variety, right before the premiere of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” reboot “BH90210” in which she starred.
“I’m doing fine. I get checked on a regular basis. I’m overly cautious at this point. I think I live my life carefully but very optimistically. I definitely value every second that I have and my relationships have changed for the better. Cancer really brought that home for me of valuing every single second,” Doherty said at the time.
