Not really worth the effort...
paul_haakonsen12 July 2020
Well, granted I knew that this was not going to be movie experience of grand nor epic proportions. But still, the movie did have an interesting enough synopsis that it could prove to be entertaining.

But it really wasn't...

First of all, the title of the movie made absolutely no sense in comparison to the storyline and what actually transpired on the screen. As such, I felt like I was tricked by an interesting cover/poster and ended up watching something else entirely.

And truth be told, the storyline was generic and predictable. In fact, so much to the point where it was just becoming less than interesting to actually keep up with the things that transpired.

The acting in the movie was adequate, taking into consideration the type of movie that it is, its premise and its budget. The actors and actresses were doing okay enough with whatever little material they had readily available from the script and storyline.

Now, then comes the alien creature. Wow. Just wow! And that is not meant as a good and astounding wow. No, this was a creature (or alien) design that was so stereotypical and generic that it was actually cringeworthy to watch. Think a mixture of Jason Voorhees and the Predator, except the alien creature in "Battlefield 2025" lacked everything crucial from both these characters to make it an interesting or noteworthy creature on the screen. It just felt like something taken out of a poor man's Sci-Fi home video.

I am rating "Battlefield 2025" a generous three out of ten stars. Why? Well, despite the movie's shortcomings, it should be said that the production value was quite good, and it showed that the film makers actually had their hearts in the right place for this project.

Best case for a zero stars button
fad-387989 July 2020
The best part of the movie is the first 2m 49sec of introductory credits.

The bad, everything else.

Sloooooow story, two-dimensional characters very badly acted. Terrible dialogue. Poor effects, terrible acting, absolutely terrible.

I lasted just over an hour then had to turn it off. Complete waste of money.

Watch this film at your own risk.

Not Good
Freedom0602869 July 2020
Most of the cast came across as poorly-trained, very inexperienced actors and actresses. The special effects were not professionally made and the direction was poor.

It seems like not much thought was put into making this film - the simple story seemed like something a young child might come up with.

OMG

It has been a long time since I've seen such a bad, BAD movie. The story is lame, the acting is awful, the CGI is a 5 yo child work. Ghee... what a waste.

Beyond Bad
birkby-7042314 July 2020
There have been some bad films coming out lately, but this film is beyond bad, it is truly dreadful, how on Earth they get money to waste on something like this is a mystery, I can only think that there is some kind of Tax dodge involved.

No Excuse For Laziness.
mirage-productions10 July 2020
I sometimes look forward in watching low budget films. Just because a filmmaker had little or no funds many can actually create something that is worth watching. This is not the case. I could not get through the second scene. The first scene opens up in a bar. The acting was pretty poor, but what really made it bad was the lighting. Apparently shot during the day, but with tungsten lighting above the bar. Blue scenes showing through the large window from behind and orange actors. Anyone knowing what they were doing would not have that happen. That's lazy. Second scene was in a car, at night. Really bad lighting for a car scene. Only light was this strong light coming from the left side of the vehicle. No fill, no moving lights indicating the car was in motion. There are several tricks that can be done to light a car properly to make it seem it's actually moving and see the actors. This was a stationery car with a big light shining in the left windows. Could not finish watching the scene. Have no idea what was going on as the lighting was so bad. Knew immediately that this was not worth wasting my time. No money, at least take the time to light your scenes properly. Just plain lazy.

This is bad even by Asylum & Troma standards
zombie-3211 July 2020
This was bad, so very very bad. Awful does not even begin to describe this.

The story, when it finally started half way through the film was written on a single beer coaster crayon. A large crayon.

I could only find one good thing about the film was that the footage was very sharp. I have never seen disappointment in such clarity.

It is not worth any price to watch, or even as a free download. Just don't waste your time even reading the title

The directors and the producers lost the plot.
tullochtrevor8 November 2020
If you're thinking of watching this film its best that you go and watch Cinderella, beauty and the beast, or something stupid, because this film is one of the worst plots, the worst acting, the worst of everything I have ever seen from a film do me a favour don't even think of watching it. I seriously think the directors the producers was on drugs they were stoned out of their heads.

negative stars - a school project at it's worst.

Probably the worst movie I ever seen and I've seen some stinkers. Tech wise it's lazy, badly executed and laughibly acted.

gtree5725 March 2021
I hope the people in this movie didn't pay for acting lessons, they must've bought the script written by a computer app

Goodness this is awful!

How in the world did we come to this point in human history? How can you make a movie that is devoid of anything resembling skill and passion. I will tell you how!

First of all, you break the laws of physics and time and quantum mechanics and make a film as short as this one feel like I'm watching the damn Thornbirds mini-series (oops, just showed how old I am). Second, you hire a "creative" team that lacks passion, skill and time to make this film. And finally....you grift a lot of money from a lot of sources to get this made.

I mean...everything about this film is bad. Too many characters. No one can act. Bad sound. Bad cinematography....heck bad everything from a technical standpoint. Why are these films being made? Is there some kind of tax grift we don't know about?

Don't watch this film man. Don't torture yourself. Watch Battlefield: Los Angeles (which this film was most definitely trying to steal from) and let this one gather dust in the .99 cent bin at the Circle K.

1 Star is to good for this movie!
tonysclutter27 September 2020
This film has to rank as one of the worst pictures ever produced. The worst story ever told. By far the worst acting ever. Everyone involved with the making of this film should be black listed from Hollywood!

Someones high school film project

When you're rooting for the good guys to get killed by the alien, you know you have a winner of a movie on your hands. Horrible acting. I mean I think I couldve done a better job. Dialogue that was so predictable with back stories that were nonsensical and completely useless to the story; give this one a pass. I'm glad I didn't pay to see this.

Not worth to watch
rydder-225-7486015 March 2023
I think this must be one of the worst movies i have ever seen.. i mean it. Bad actors, bad storie with no ending in this movie. Even the background music was boring. When you finally think the story of the movie is about to begin, its over in two seconds. Poff its the end and then the credits. .. and the cameraman must have been stoned or something- So please Sci-fi Lovers out there, dont waist your time on this movie, life is way too short for watching this kind of bad low budget movie. I mean it, Its not worth the time to watch this.. trust me. Sorry for the bad review, but its the truth. :-(

3 is generous
andyonmob14 July 2020
Film drags on with poor acting mostly, then ends the moment the battle starts which is pointless. Waste of time watching it as nothing much happens and then it ends. The alien is pretty rubbish but was the most convincing actor. There is no battlefield, just a dark night in the country. Beyond silly, but better than Ninja Shark.

Reviews Are Sometimes Wrong
TheJonesBones13 November 2020
I'm 25 minutes into this film and still watching it - I've even rewound it a few times to keep up with the story line. That says something for the film, since I often watch cheesy, low-budget films of all kinds without making it so far.

So, this is a low-budget but not-so-cheesy film that I think you might enjoy, if you have a spare hour and a half. I do mean SPARE, by the way, since you probably shouldn't choose this title for a Friday night date.

Still, the acting is largely believable, and the story and dialog move fluidly, at least. I'll close this review before the end of the film - I think it deserves the benefit of a doubt, at least. I mean, I already know where it's going, but I think you should give it the first half-hour and then judge the ending for yourself.

BTW: Many of these reviewers have no idea what it takes to create and publish an interesting story of any kind. I added two stars, just for getting the job done without making me groan in the first five minutes of the feature - better yet, I have not heard a single F-bomb in the dialog (some writers seriously need a thesaurus!). Be well IMDB-buddy!

Not bad

Warning: Spoilers
Here's the official description of this film from the fine folks at October Coast: "Weekend campers, an escaped convict, young lovers and a police officer experience a night of terror when a hostile visitor from another world descends on a small Arizona town."

As for the title of this film, it doesn't make sense until the end, which comes out of nowhere for a movie that up until then has felt like Without Warning 2020.

We covered director Joseph Mbah's film Expo on the site and as I was looking back on it, I remember that I called out that that film had more than ten minutes of credits. This one started with nearly three and ends with eleven minutes or more. So, if you love credits, good news!

I really liked the design of the alien monster in this, which felt very 1950's science fiction. I was expecting to not see any creatures in this, so I was pleasantly surprised to have so many creature effects.
