Quite different movie and topic never tried before in the industry.
Acting wise Simi chahal was outstanding, Amrinder was good, Harish Verma was fine as usual and rest were also regular and acted well for their roles. Like to mention the 'Bhaiya' that worked with Harish who acted really well.
Songs were good especially the "aesi taesi" was outstanding with the situation and direction and wonderful voice by Amrinder Paa ji. This song alone return you ticket money so rest of the movie is a bonus surplus :-)
Direction was not so gripping in the begining but after half an hour the movie picked its pace supplemented with good direction. Overall a good movie with nice comedy punches throughout the movie.
Overall its definitely watchable movie especially if you lilke to witness the cinematic growth in punjabi cinema.

What a beautifully woven story of two times of demonetisation and how people helped each other in the times of need. The acting by Amrinder gill is literally out of the world according to the story. I have actually seen that kind if character in my life and i can relate so well. The story revolves around two situations at two different times of demonetisation and how people helped each other. It gave me a happy feeling after it ended and also a message how Government Was benefited from the move.

This is not your typical punjabi comedy movie. Only funny scene in the movie are already shown in trailer. There is nothing else funny about this movie. Amrinder gill story is serious and shown 1970s. Amrinder Gill story has nothing to do with main story. Expected more comedy from Jaswinder Bhall and BN Sharma, but nothing was deliverrd. Movie story huge let down. Movie trailer misled the viewers of comedy movie.

I have seen many Punjabi movies , but this one is very different,
I would say that it is a mix bag of comedy , serious moments as well as social issues.
This movie also depicts the life of Hindus in Punjab (almost all Punjabi movies show Sikh families , mostly Jatts).

10/10 for cast, story, acting, direction and music. Ending could be done in a better way but I wont go 9.5 because it was not finished like Priyadarshan movies at least.
Full points for comedy. Very good punch lines and more importantly very well executed. It was not loud comedy like normally we see in the punjabi movies.

Watched this one recently. Bahut hi pyaari movie hai. Lots of beautiful emotions . It has two different stories set in two different time. Its about having all the money in the world and still not having it and how love and human values win in the end.
Really beautiful story leaves you feeling happy and your heart overwhelmed with a sense of bliss in the end!!

It is confusing . Two stories are running parallel which have no relation at all. Amrinder gill's performance is the only positive about this film. The focus is continuously shifting from fued between Aneja and Sachdeva to the love story and then demonetization. Ending was boring .A few dialogues were funny but couldn't save the otherwise poorly written film.

Golak bughni bank te batua is one of the best punjabi movie of 2018.Full marks goes to the story , direction and actors. This is the first ever movie i have seen based on the demonetization of 2016 which changes the dynamics of daily life in india , Pollywood surely leaves behind Bollywood ....
There are 2 different stories based on the life of people of 2 different era.one story is based on the life of mishri and neeta other is based on bhola and shindi. Mishri and neeta played by Simi Chahal and Harish Verma are two youngsters who fall in love despite the rivalry their fathers have with each other and ran away from home.when they reach at a hill station they find out govt has declared demonstrations ,how this affect their story and what is the connections between their track and bhola and shindi s track is interesting to find out.
Simmi Chahal and Harish Verma plays their part fabulously but the the heart winning performance by Amrinder Gill is just Amazing....you can't help to fall in love with his character bhola.
Film's music is also very good. " Selfie " , and " Tu te main " are my favorite....do watch this movie if you haven't yet.
