5.3? Really?!?!
derbigpr3 March 2018
At this moment this episode has a 5.3 rating, and I don't see any other explanation of it other than the usual Top Gear haters giving it bad marks without actually having watched a single episode of Top Gear since the old trio left the show.

This episode was as good or better than anything on the latest season of The Grand Tour, so in case the low rating put you off, don't let it. Watch it.

Please temove the forced coolness of Rory Reid and the show might have a chance.

If you still care about cars...

Then watch this show. If you only ever watched Top Gear because of the banter between the former trio, then I implore you to give the new hosts a chance, or get over it and move on.

This was a beautifully simple episode, using a proven format, and executed to the same production standards we've come to expect from Top Gear. LeBlanc, Harris and Reid have found their feet and hit the ground running in Season 25. All 3 are looking more comfortable as hosts, exchanging some genuinely entertaining banter; particularly between LeBlanc and Harris. As an enthusiast I can really appreciate the input from the likes of Chris Harris, an experienced driver who never sugarcoats his reviews and always seems to extract the maximum from the cars he's testing.

I'll definitely keep watching.

Not as good as before, but give it a go!

OK, I understand, I miss the guys now doing 'The Grand Tour' too, but give these guys a chance. Matt is REALLY getting better, & the banter is feeling less forced each week. I think these guys can get very nearly the level of the original trio!
