Predictable story line but must watch for dance fans. Kids surely enjoy this movie..

Amazing movie - until the flop climax

The movie was totally engrossing, with Lakshmi and VK having a great relationship which enables her dance journey. The dance sequences throughout the movie are top notch and you cant resist grooving with them. But the climax completely fell short of expectations.

Apparently the movie has two themes! "The movie Lakshmi is a story about a dancing legend 'Prabu Deva' and his extraordinary student Lakshmi." and "The film is based on goddess Lakshmi". I'm confused what is the need for two themes.

And the final song and dance bit did not connect with anyone in the audience.

The movie was pretty good with all the choreography and the proper sync. Even the story was good, focusing on the young girl and her dreams, similar to 'Secret Superstar.' Also, the story turns after an hour when she finds the real truth about her. But the scenes were expected. I think it would have been better with a suspense. It shouldn't have been so revealing. Acting was on-point. And there was so many jokes, made by Kovai Sarala; I actually could not stop laughing even after the movie ended. If you don't mind the musical, and like dance, then this movie is for you.

Only Dance nothing else

Nice mannerism/characterisation. Dance being at the centre of this movie, done well and that too with kids doing it, it is adorable. Very weak story/plot, very Dramatic. Worst screenplay w/o any twists/turns. Music also wasn't that good. Cinematography was somewhat mentionable.

Again copy cat from South Indian Movie. Personally would not recommend..... One of facebook friend wanted to give it 0.01 rating unfortunately its not there :). Akshay Kumar acting was horrible.... Seems like instead of acting in movies he is acting more in public life as patriotic.
