Mindless but still entertaining

Don't expect a tight script, great acting, or even a semblance of logic from this movie. But if you lower your expectations and turn off your mind, you might actually be entertained for 90 minutes.

The movie starts out with a guy who takes his girlfriend and three of her friends to a mansion in the middle of nowhere. When the women enter, they notice the grandeur of the abode (the ceilings are like a hundred feet high) but somehow fail to notice that the floors are covered with dried leaves and horses wander about the living room. I warned you to turn off your brain. The boyfriend's best friends live in the mansion, nine guys all around the same age, all good-looking, even about the same height. Nine handsome guys in the prime of youth living in the middle of nowhere with no electricity (only candlelight), no TV, no Internet, no cell service strikes the women as odd, but they go with it.

Surprise, surprise, the young gents are not as they seem, and the women find themselves trapped in the mansion. The women are drawn into a dark, mysterious world where have to deal with things far beyond anything they've ever seen or experienced (because the four women are hot but not particularly bright).

The plot is your typical fantasy fiction fare, supernatural hocus pocus this & that. Nobody in the cast or crew of Cupidos was expecting a Goya nomination for their work in this movie. Nonetheless, gotta confess that Cupidos was a guilty pleasure. Am I embarrassed to admit that I actually enjoyed it? Yeah, but still willing to write an IMDB review, LOL.
