Rugged survivor Nathan (a solid performance by the beefy Steve Barkett) declares war on the savage hill people after they slaughter all the remaining intelligent humans left in the wake of a nuclear holocaust. While in the middle of exacting revenge on the hill people Nathan receives a phone call from a mysterious female who begs him for help and subsequently risks his life to get to her before it's too late.
Director Dan Gilbert keeps the gripping premise moving along at a brisk pace, ably crafts a strong bleak mood, and delivers plenty of exciting raw action and brutal action. Moreover, the minimal dialogue, absence of music, and emphasis on often striking visuals gives this short a stripped-down simplicity and immediacy. F.T. Eyre's stark black and white cinematography offers several neat shots of the desolate wasteland setting. The cool surprise grim ending packs a startling punch. Worth a watch.
