This movie hits you hard. Whether you've been in a relationship before or not, it isn't an easy and beautifully perfect thing most movies tend to show you and this movie doesn't have a problem showing you the reality of things. It's raw, it's hard and it's true. It starts off pretty innocent and simple with an highschool romance, a bit silly even but as time goes on and the characters grow up the movie keeps up with the pace and that to me was an amazing work on the part of both main characters and the director. I don't think I really need to comment on how amazing both actors are, each showing how versitle their acting power can be, from being a teen again to being an adult, to showing raw emotion so realistically one might think for a second if the actors really didn't have a relationship to begin with. Very worth seeing.

Beautifully directed and more effectively presented by both the actors. This movie falls in the category of One time watch movies, but don't underestimate it's potential due to it. The mix of laughter and soul touching emotions that this movie displays within 2 hours is really exceptional. Worth watching one for sure. Just it has a realistic ending, and not the typical fantasy. This movie again underlines the Concrete fact that, the only friend which will always support you, will always love you and will be always there for you is U.

First love and its feelings. Relationships, breakups, timing, phases of relationship, blaming others for own failures, growth and realisation as a person. This is all movoe is about. The end is beautiful and not like any other movie. You can connect to many things if you were in love in high school. Some people are never meant to be together even if they are the perfect pair. Love needs timing too, without that love is just a heartbreak. Life doesnt pan out as we plan. Things we do to get our love. Good.

Even if I kind of predicted how it's going end, I still watched it. The friendship was great, the romantic scenes were great, It's just sad how a guy can be a jerk sometimes. They always forget that once a woman heard something hurtful, They can never get past with that again. I did not like the ending but it makes sense.

I really enjoyed this film. It tells a sweet romantic love-sick tale of a boy who loves a girl, who doesn't love him back. As the story continues, their story develops and evolves and has a real 'greeting-card' warmth to it. Later on, their relationship evolves even more to a mature and sophisticated and which I really appreciated and only a few films are able to tackle well. The cinematography and some of the effects work is also awesome. It's like Korea's 'When Harry Met Sally'

It is one of the best movies I've ever watched. It is a very realistic love story, it touched my heart. I teared up a couple of times while watching this. The characters for this movie are incredible; I loved the girl she was so cute and her personality was amazing. Really portrays an average high school/college girl and I like that. The guy was also perfect; they both went through hardships that people face in real life. Many cute and funny scenes, the ending made me very sad and I didn't want it to be sad but I understand why it ended that way. I will watch this 10,00 more times.

Wow.. what an amazing k-romcom movie, that sounds like an empty platitude, but it is not... You will laugh, you will cry,
you will be reminded of youth, coming of age and what happens when dreams don't go as planned.
This is yet another well crafted, well scripted, character developed movie that is nothing short of amazing. Kim Young-kwang is so captivating, he steals the show! The motifs are strong, and relate-able: unrealized potential, unrequited love, bad timing, regret , yet coupled with hope, dreams, passion, and what to fight for... it really is a beautiful movie...

Right, well this is your every day run-of-the-mill romantic comedy from the South Korean cinema, sure. But there is a little bit more to it than just your generic boy meets girl and in-and-out-of-love.
Sure, South Korea pump the romantic comedies out by the gallons on a daily basis. And it is hard to find the ones that actually distinguish themselves in the sea of similar movies. "Neo-eui kyeol-hoon-sik" (aka "On Your Wedding Day") actually managed to differentiate itself from many others of the similar type, which actually makes it worth the effort to sit down and watch this movie.
It should be said that the story is fairly generic, but there are some nice enough twists and changes to the story that you wouldn't necessarily expect to see, which did make for a nice pace and change of scenery in the rom-com genre.
The movie is very nicely carried by Bo-Young Park (playing Hwan Seung-hee) and Young-kwang Kim (playing Hwang Woo-yeon).
However, while the movie certainly stands out in the sea of romantic comedies from the South Korean cinema, it is hardly a movie that you will watch more than a single time, because the storyline and plot just haven't enough worth to sustain multiple viewings.
I must admit to finding the ending of the movie rather enjoyable and a most welcome change of pace for the romantic comedy genre.

Im not a big romantic fan but with a belief that it may have some fun moments i went ahead and watched it.Oh my god, it's such an excellent rom com with dramatic moments. I think the listing should be changed to rom com drama which would be best for this movie.

I can't really give this movie less than 6 stars, because of the cast. Both actors are really good, and two of my favourite actually. They both did a great job in this production as well, and they had chemistry, which helped with the love story. The story, moreover, had its nice parts, as it was sweet and funny at first, more intense towards the end, but the ending was really odd and they didn't provide a nice explanation for it. So, killer performances but really weak plot : 6 out of 10.

The 2 leads are not a good match for each other. They are fine in other roles like PBY in Strong Woman has perfect chemistry with PHS. In this movie it isn't just the height difference but the personalities don't match as well. He looks a bit old for the role when he was playing a student. I don't like her playing sad too.
The story is depressing. Why does he love her so much? The ups and downs are I guess an attempt to be realistic. Getting injured for her is frustrating. When they got together it wasn't romantic. The way they broke up is sad but real. The ultimate message about how to let go of the first love isn't uplifting just depressing. So why watch a movie like this?

7.5/10 is my rating. This is a 2018 South Korean Romance Movie that is 110 minutes long.
Hwang Woo-Yeon (Kim Young-Kwang) receives a wedding invitation from his long time friend and first love, Hwan Seung-hee (Park Bo-young). They had ten years together as friends and eventually as a couple. They parted ways and the wedding invitation is the first Woo-Yeon heard from Seung-hee in awhile. The wedding invitation makes Woo-Yeon realize he still has feelings for this girl he should not have let go. *Spoiler alert I really liked their friendship in high school. She dated other guys and he other girls but they were always there for each other. He was obviously in love with her and she knew it yet held him at arms length. I think she did it because she knew if they got together romantically and it did not work it would end their friendship. Girls often feel that way and that is why a guy that has it all and seems perfect gets friend zoned. They do eventually become a couple and he blows it by saying meeting her was what made his life go downhill. It was the type of fight that most couples would get through but they did not. The fact that neither held on that hard is telling about their relationship. The ending was most disappointing. He receives the wedding invitation and spends some days drinking and being consoled by his friends. At the last minute he goes and hatches a plan to have a private discussion with the bride. Now this is normally where they would profess their love and make amends the walk off together. what happened was they apologized and thanked each other. Then they wished each other well and she exited to do the bridal walk and he walks away. It was what might really happen in real life but that is not what I watch drama for. I want the sweet romance, the love that lasts - you know happily ever after. It is a bummer because I liked elements of it but was saddened by the end. A good watch if you like a close mirror on reality.

As someone already said it,casting is great so I can't rate this movie lower although I really want to.
I love the actor that plays our FL but I dislike her character in this movie. Movie has this sad tone from the begining and mostly cause FL Seung hee makes our ML sad and lonely for whole 12 years that they known eachother. She is the worst type of girl. She is someone who loves to be loved but isn't so good in giving what she recieves. She has ML wrapped around her finger for more than a decade and keeps that obssesion of his alive but keeps him at safe distance all the time so that she doesn't have to reciprocate his strong devotion.
We see a lot of heartbreaking scenes where she repetedly hurts him till the end where he comes to her big white wedding to tell her some sweet things to get his closure. But he didn't get his closure. Film ends with him leaving wedding hall heartbroken and miserable.
Love is all about timing,yes. And about meeting the right person who will be able to love you and make you feel safe in their heart. Unlike Seung-hee.

On your wedding day is first movie I went to south korean for it and watched it without subtitble cause I understand korean language .very light movie and duper realtable. it was beauitful written and realized movie this movie changed mylife .yes really got me reflecting on life , realtionships, pains and happiness .movie was so wonderful and amazing and warm and funny ( on most parts ) also realistic . thanks to effective punchlines and phasing is great. park boyoung is wonderful as alwayz and she plyed character seung hee very excllent and for kimyoung kwang It 's first time I saw him he's great and handsome. and also acted excllent too. parkboyoung and kimyoung kwang have great and amazing chemistry . theirchemistry is undeniable.this movie teached manythings : importantlife and love lessons without being too chessy or unrealistic. it's a movie based on reality. that was really wroth to watch.
On your Wedding day. Commitments that show their respective ideals and love. A commitment that becomes a valuable lesson in establishing "..". At least everything starts with "Life Experience" fav movie.

Movie sailed soomthly from high school to adulthood, the transitions are aestheitcally in sync, The plot is mightily relatable and subtleties will leave an avalanche of heart aches. (100/100 ) ❤No dull moments. sobrang sobrang ganda lyak na lyak ako . Boyoung and Young Kwang's acting are superb. it'll tug your heartstrings with emotions . didn't expect for this movie be somewhat myfavorite. I love plot so much . I must say that it is a great movie.Full of lessons and realiztions . sobrang worth it .

I Iiterally just Watched OnYourWeddingDay and I can't describe how much I Ioved it. I laughed and cried throughout the whole movie! Well done, guys( park bo young and kim young kwang )! This movie really a masterpiece to me. And yes, it's all about right timing. Thank you for your amazing acting skills. such a great movie !💯❇ ( 10 /10 )
