Originally planned to be a 45-minute direct-to-DVD sequel, until Lionsgate decided to give it a limited theatrical release at the last minute.
The entire movie was leaked on the internet just a year before it was even released, due to having a screener video up on Splash Entertainment's Vimeo account.
Although the entire film is credited as "Keys to the Kingdom," it is two stories, both commissioned by Splash Entertainment: "Back to the City" and "The Arctic All-Stars."
