Very Informative

This documentary is very informative, the who, what, when, where, how to it all. Vernon Wayne Howell AKA David Koresh and the Branch Davidians at their 77 acre Mount Carmel Compound in Waco, Texas, was raided by the ATF, who had a search warrant for unlawful possession of a destructive device. The ATF claims that the Davidians fired upon them first, which lead to multiple lives being lost on both sides. Along with the ATF came the FBI, TANKS, and 600 hundred other federal agents. The ATF lied and claimed that Koresh had a methamphetamine lab in the basement of the compound to get assistants from the US Military, which turned out to be false information. This standoff lasted for 51 days, on April 19, 1993, the FBI, who took over the operation from the ATF, used tanks to drop CS gas into the house, which is also believed to have caused the fire that claimed the lives of mostly all left behind inside the compound. Two years later there was a Danforth commission broad held to find out what went wrong at the compound, it ended as a whitewash. In the end, the U.S GOVERNMENT gagged the agents that were on the scene. Why? What are they hiding? David Koresh, was he a prophet, messenger, or a made man? Very informative documentary.

Left out quite a lot

I'm no conspiracy theorist but there's a LOT missing from this documentary. Known facts were completely dismissed in order to promote a narrative that essentially called the murder of children justified.

A lot that both sides have since agreed on they just completely leave out. Also, having Alex Jones as the only person interviewed who's against the government's version of events is just beyond irresponsible and makes it seem like there's no credibility to people who aren't pleased with how this was handled.

I expected a much less biased program that only stuck with the facts and didn't swing one way or the other.

IMDb Description Couldn't Be More Accurate

At the time of this review, the short IMDb description for "Truth and Lies: WACO" said all that can really be said in sincerity and honesty about it:

"Mainstream media attempting to justify the government murdering innocent American civilians for no reason by peddling lies."

There's nothing I can really add to that description. It's short and to the point, and it couldn't be more accurate.
