Bon Voyage is a BTS travel show that has its fun moments but also delves into how close the members have become and how much they rely on one another.
BTS traveled to Northern Europe in BV S01, stopping in places such as Bergen and Finland. From going on cruise rides, camping to visiting Santa Claus Village, writing Christmas letters to the other members, we see how close these boys are to one another. Furthermore, a heartbreaking moment occurred when Namjoon lost his passport and was forced to abandon the trip halfway back to Korea, leaving the boys devastated. However, many enjoyable moments keep me watching and remind me that BTS' greatest strength is the friendship shared by its members.
Many BTS members got their wish granted in BV S02 when the boys traveled to Hawaii. This time, the members were divided into groups and went on friendship trips to demonstrate the uniqueness of the individual bonds b/w several members. The letters written to each member, especially V's emotional letter to bestie Jimin while chilling on a yacht, were the most heartwarming moments that left ARMY in tears.
In BV S03, BTS traveled to the hot city of Malta, where the boys were divided into groups to travel around and bask in the gorgeous locales. Furthermore, Jungkook and V tried their hand at busking by singing Adam Levine's Lost Stars and Maroon 5's Sunday Morning. Members also demonstrated their playful side by participating in water sports. Keeping with the tradition of writing letters, the members penned messages for themselves this time, while Suga was forced to leave the trip midway and returned to Korea due to an emergency. The trip ended with a special dinner as they read their letters for the others to admire.
In BV S04, BTS experienced the winter season when they traveled to New Zealand, spent days camping and cooking for themselves. While RM was extremely stressed due to work for the soon-to-be-released album, we see how the members helped him feel better throughout the journey. The boys were having a good time and enjoying every minute of each other's presence, from doing menial tasks like grocery shopping to visiting glaciers, enjoying the snow season.
In short, with BTS IN THE SOOP, all seasons of BON VOYAGE are happy pills in my life. I was re-watching the entire series, which is why I decided to write about it.
