After 5+ years of Squad and Truck run by the same two fellows working like a well-oiled machine, now there's all this nonsense about differences in their action choices in a fire/accident. What the heck? Gotta create new conflicts, but changing characters and work situation & environment wholly? Well, it's a whole new show, different from those earlier episodes/series that carries the same name somehow.
This new show, Chicago Fire 2.0 isn't worth watching in any depth now; can skip through some plot points to view about 5 minutes worth of show. Right now, the only characters I care about are Severide and Brett and I'll look to see how things roll for them.
As for Gary Cole, a very-good actor, it's tough to view him when he's a bad guy like he is here. But he does play one so well.
