Really amazing that they've talked about serious problem like people can't live any more without phones or internet. A little bit stereotype about vaping(still hate vaping).

Superb episode

The social commentary on tonight's episode was awesome. The portrayal of people on social media and trending on the internet was on point. The satire tonight was brilliant.

I LOVE how everyone is complaining about FG overstereotyping Millennials.

Sounds like someone needs a safe space.

FG over stereotypes EVERY social group known. Period. Jeez.

Frankly, I agree that most Millennials (like my daughter) are awesome and productive. Now; if EVERYONE can learn to laugh at themselves a little bit, we'll do just fine.

I welcome the influx of digital modernity as fodder for SMF's brand of humor.

The shoe's on the other foot, sometimes. So go for a little walk.

(that last bit was rough for me; the 'f**t'-word is one of my triggers)

Warning: Spoilers
The new employee at the brewery felt more like a ripoff of South Park's PC Principal than a typical millennial, but I guess it wouldn't be the first time they borrowed something from that Comedy Central cartoon.

There were a few laughs here and clever jabs, and acknowledging that annoying reaction gif on Twitter had me lol'ing, but the show has lost its way so much. A one good joke for every five bad jokes ratio doesn't work.

Old Family Guy really fresh.

I've been bragging about how family Guy lost its touch for a long time now but this episode is on spot with its satire. Great job!

Some thought evoked by this episode.

Season 16 has been pretty much hit and miss - just as the two earlier seasons too. Or - to be more exact and completely honest - FG as whole is one big hit and miss. There are some really good moments: jokes, punchlines, gags and gimmicks; funny sequences that are pure billowing comedy. But sometimes it's lame, stale, repetitive, dull, pretentitious or too self-aware; underlining too much the fact that it's just a silly, stupid cartoon that you are watching. Sometime it fails to be funny while trying too much: trying to be too vulgar, ultra-violent, conscious or dramatic. Or whatever it may be - you get the idea, right?

I'd be very offended as a white man to be referred to as a "bro", for 1) I am a white man and 2) the one doing the reference is also a white man. Do we have the right to use words that belong to the black people and their way of communication? At least I should be exasperated, using that millennial, leftist, "liberal", tolerant and "open-minded" "logic". Having said that, it's perfectly acceptable for the blacks to call themselves n-----s. Heck, they even call latinos and us white n-----s! Shouldn't this make the brain of a deeply committed, politically correct liberal just explode? (This reminds of a scene from Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" (1989) in which a Korean guy tells black people that he's black as well. A black guy then in turn asks him: "Where you black at?")

Well, it shouldn't explode. For it is just comedy. The same goes to all the gay jokes on FG: I think that the whole thing started to get pretty old somewhere in the 90s, as it had been going on in the movies and TV for about two decades already by then. FG still somehow doesn't get enough of Stewie/Peter being gay. I have nothing against gay people, per se, and they can be made fun of just like anybody else. But not every other joke has to be a gay joke. A joke being a gay joke by definition doesn't make it automatically funny. This seems to be a rudimentary thing that FG writers and producers haven't quite grasped. Just as not everybody who doesn't like gay sex is a "homophobe".

"Gay Peter" is just done too much. It's not funny that way, but only grotesque.

Old days good. These days bad.
brandonhuggins21 February 2019
This entire episode is quite possibly the worst episode of the series. Who the hell is it even for? It's just 20 minutes of an old man making non-sensical jokes about millennials. I swear to God it's like an entire episode written by every grouchy person on Facebook complaining about young people today.

Lame, on the nose and unoriginal toilet humor .
mujohaso7 May 2018
I admit, they did a pretty good job summing up the pretentious millenials or centennials or whatever theyre called but it was more of a description of what theyre like mixed with the most pitifull unoriginal jokes rather than a humorus representation. Someone must be high as a kite to find this funny while writing or so wrapped up in his own bubble that no third party opinions are coming in telling them what sh+t job they are doing. It is going the way of the American Dad this last season.

Boo! This panders to every millenial stereotype imaginable and I hate it. Not every single person I know in real life does nothing but look at their phones when they walk!

Warning: Spoilers
There were a few moments that made me laugh like Peter thinking the internet thing was a fancy urinal, but I really hate how it says different things that are diametrically opposed. First it's telling us that we can't live without the internet because people will go crazy and kill each other. Then it says that we can't live with the internet because everyone in this episode is the same character who does nothing but look at their phones instead of talking to each other as a family, and the cooks at the restaurant cause a fire when they get distracted by their phones, which burns the whole restaurant and kills all of them. No, it's not funny! It's just...sad. I found this episode to only be a tad better than Send in Stewie Please. The D in Apartment 23 was way better at satire and social commentary of the harsh internet world than this.

Falls flat
cterria27 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It seriously felt like watching a Ben Garrison cartoon come to life. I know that Family Guy is meant to spoof everything, but this felt like a millennial killed Seth Macfarlane's parents or something, and the worst part is being unable to call it out without every other commenter calling you a triggered snowflake. The latter half of the episode was far more tolerable, especially the Six Second Talk Show, and I wish more of the episode had been focused on how awful Silicone Valley is, as well as stupid Internet trends. Anyway, stick through the opening escapades if you want typical Family Guy humor.

Reaction!

I'd really want to see LACK78 (also known as Computing Forever) reaction to this particular episode of Family Guy! I'm sure that reaction would be out of this world! A huge curiousity from me (personally)!

***UPDATE (Oct 6, 2021)*** He actually DID do an overview video of this episode on the Dave Cullen Show channel. I actually had no idea until now! Well, that solves that mystery!

Could've have been one of the best episodes but...
AverageCritic-0351813 May 2023
This episode is one of the worst in family Guy history. The episode just spends time making fun of old things millennials liked about thirty years ago. Ha ha keyboard cat. I think the family Guy writers forgot that this is the 21th century and not the 90's. It also uses the same jokes over and over again that a boomer would like. All the jokes are millennial bad or phone bad, ha ha please laugh or are show will get canceled again. This is one of the reasons that Family Guy should have ended over a decade ago, lazy jokes, boring story, and forgettable characters that are just a outdated caricature.
