Enjoyable for a Lifetime Movie but...,
Carriexoc28 March 2019
Really held my interest throughout the movie. What pulled me out was the scene where the mom was drinking a glass of wine watching a movie while her daughter was missing for all of 48 hours?!?!? Come on writers! The husband walks in and says "What's wrong?" UMMMM. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME WRITERS? WHO WOULD SAY THAT? DUH!!! PLEASE!!!! Lifetime!!! Please for the love of GOD! Hire some REAL writers who would think these things through! I'm available!!!! Call me!

A bit different but not too much
phd_travel20 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A little different combination of characters in this Lifetime thriller here. A single mom with a young girl marries a single dad with a son. The abduction isn't the main thing. It's whether her new hubby is after her money. The son suspects his Dad killed his first wife. But she doesn't believe him. An okay watch but the reason given for the psycho action at the end is weak.

Well... Could have been better/worse
VinceGambini1 October 2020
I want to be fair. My expectations weren't high but this turned out to be much better than I thought. The story has some really interesting twists and kept me engaged but yes, there are also quite a few holes in that plot. The acting... I'd say it's acceptable. Look, this is no Oscar material but it's entertaining enough and with good production value.

Poor poor lead actress
carlabell-488247 October 2019
I'm trying to get through this movie without being so critical, but the lead actress is horrible. I don't understand all the facial expressions. They're distracting, unattractive, and have no relevance to her lines. This is another example of poor casting by Lifetime movies.

Lead actors show poor performance. Lead actress role very naive.

Decent enough storyline
HorrorFanLewis20 November 2021
Absolutely, categorically, the worst acting you will ever see. Not a single one of the people appearing in this movie can act, not one. I spent most of the time laughing at the awful dialogue and the silly faces the lead actress keeps pulling. And the daughter is so robotic it's unreal. The storyline is quite predictable but decent enough to make it to the end. But seriously, you will not find a worse group of actors in a single movie.

Not bad for a Lifetime movie
aprilsfriendorin15 April 2020
If you're comparing it to a theater produced thriller, you're not going to like it. But in comparison to other Lifetime films, this one isn't bad. The acting isn't great, but plot-wise it's actually a compelling mystery.

A Tale of Oedipal Proportions
lavatch18 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It is implied in the title of "My Little Girl is Gone" (a.k.a., "Eve of Abduction") that this film is about the kidnapping of little Caitlin Carver and that her mom, Stephanie, desperately seeks her return. But that is actually only a subplot to the far more interesting conflict of father and son, which takes on Oedipal proportions.

Young Shane Seaverson distrusts his father, Jameson. Still recovering from the death of his mother, Shane believes that his father is a monster who pushed the mother off a cliff. The tension between father and son is palpable throughout the film.

In a bizarre subplot, Shane kidnaps little Caitlin after the speedy marriage of his dad to Stephanie. The kid is tracked down and the family reunited. But things come to a head when Stephanie's partner and bestie, Lila, is murdered after investigating Jameson and learning that he is spilling red ink in his business. Another interesting development is that Stephanie's ex-husband Henry shows up wanting to rekindle the flames in their burnt-out relationship.

The filmmakers develop good suspense and keep the audience guessing about the truth of Jameson Seaverson. In a sale of her designer purses to the Walford Designs Affiliated corporation, Stephanie stands to make a fortune on her purses. A loose end in the film was that Stephanie had placed her daughter's name as the sole inheritor of her business proceeds. So, Jameson would receive nothing in the event of her demise.

The most unusual scenes in the film are those of the bonding of Stephanie with her stepson. Is Shane a troubled youth? Or, does he know something about his father's past that is a shameful and horrific as the Greek myth about a fateful pairing of a father and son?

A Good Thriller
carolynocean1 April 2021
I liked this movie, It had a good vibe to it.

A few twists to keep the viewer guessing , and a decent plot that was believable.

OK the acting was'nt out of this world , but at least the characters were likeable, and did the best they could with a fairly mediocre script .

Overall a good watch .

Plenty of twists and eye candy make this worth the watch
mjanssens2614 April 2021
Both the men and women in this film are quite attractive. That being said, it's yet another guilty-pleasure Lifetime movie but this one has more twists than usual. The film starts off as a kidnapping mystery and then unfolds into a separate story murder whodunit. This was a fun popcorn film. Lifetime-quality movies should be judged for what they are, silly escapism and this one was great for that purpose.

Son Sean ( B Carl) looks like r Pat from twilight
jttm-203905 April 2022
The son in this movie Sean (Braeden Carl) looks like Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in twilight. His angel of his face in certain scenes. Love tv made movies.
