Sex & Nudity

  • Sexual activity is present in almost every episode. Nudity is not so frequent.
  • A lot of the sexual content in the series is unsettling as high school students work as escorts, engaging sexually with older men.
  • A video of a girl giving oral sex to her boyfriend is shown to a whole party. Not graphic.

Violence & Gore

  • Characters fight and brawl with each other: girls slap and push each other at a party, one pushes another into a pool. A sudden death anchors dramatic plotlines later in season 1; expect to see a dead body with some blood on his face.
  • A girl slaps another and pushes her to the ground during a party.
  • Two boys fight at school and put their hands on each other, they push themselves against a wall, but are stopped.
  • A brother and sister argue and shout at each other, he pushes her against the wardrobe and insults her.
  • Two boys argue and one punches him in the stomach and spits on him, the other hits him in the back with a skateboard. He falls to the ground and coughs.
  • A girl is pushed into the pool by another girl.
  • A man breaks the window of the car a boy is in, grabs him and headbutts him, causing his nose to bleed.
  • A man tries to rape an unconscious girl in the back of a car, the guy driving crashes the car to stop him. The man's face is shown covered in blood.
  • A girl has a deep scar on her forehead following a car accident.
  • A man in a coma has many scars on his face, another man pulls the plug killing him.
  • A boy is chased by some criminals, but manages to save himself.
  • A man tries to rape a girl in a car, the guy driving crashes the car.
  • A man tries to molest a woman, a boy tries to stop him but gets punched. You can see his bloody face.
  • Some boys bully another boy at school, hold him down and force him to wear lipstick, while filming him with a cell phone. A girl comes and defends him.
  • A girl breaks a razor blade and thinks about committing suicide, but doesn't.
  • A boy tries to rape a girl and send a video online, she pulls his hair and manages to escape.

Profanity

  • Language includes "f--k," "f--king," "a--hole," "s--tty," a group of mocking students call another a "slut," and ask if she's making "another porno."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Many characters smoke cigarettes and marijuana throughout the series.
  • A boy is seen taking drugs and drinking beer while speeding in his car at night. He is later seen overdosing in the driver's seat.
  • Two characters take cocaine.
  • A character takes an unknown pill, she is later taken advantage of sexually by a much older man.
  • Drug deals are shown throughout both seasons.
  • Multiple teens smoke cigarettes, including casually at home. A man vapes at a restaurant. Teens drink tequila shots and beer at a party and smoke joints. One character sells pot and talks about quantities and prices (and is menaced by underworld types).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The series follows two minors who engage in prostitution, the scenes where the girls engage with much older men both sexually and amicably are uncomfortable to watch.
  • There are around three counts of sexual predation/sexual violence throughout the two seasons.
  • Many emotionally intense scenes.
  • Different characters are both emotionally and sexually blackmailed across both seasons.
  • A boy forces himself onto his girlfriend whilst live streaming the incident. The girl manages to resist and escape.
  • A pimp takes advantage of a girl sexually whilst she is on drugs in the back of a car. Before he is able to rape her the car is crashed by the driver.
  • A girl is stalked by a sinister client who had sexually harassed her. We later find out he has been paid to do this by her pimp who is obsessed with her following her withdrawal from the prostitution ring.
