It started off really great and its climax is also another highlight. Mammootty's performance even at the age of 68 is impossible, no matter what the role is he can nail it. It's not a complete commercial mass entertainer, it's a movie made by giving more inclinations to its story and yes it's a true historical movie. The technical side of the movie was impressive according to the Malayalam film industry. Action scenes were great, especially the 11-year-old Achuthan. Since it's more of an emotional drama film, some might find the movie a bit lagging, but if you're indulged in the history of Mamangam and it's characters you're gonna love this movie. These kinds of movies should be encouraged in our industry so that we will get to see more of these Epics. Definitely, it's a theatrical experience, so try to catch up in the cinema.

This movie is not for the fans but for the true movie lovers. Visuals and bgm are the main highlight of the movie... Achuthan as Chanthroth chanthunni was outstanding, then mammukka as usual, he was fantastic.

Try as I might, I can't bring myself to hate Padmakumar's Mamaangam. Yes, it is a complete and total waste of time and money on the behalves of all involved,Bad performance from the lead actor Mammootty...The technical side of the movie is very poor especially vfx work awful

• Watched the movie in Amazon Prime Video.
• Movie starts with a war scene. It was easy to understand the nature of the whole movie when Mammooty jumps some 20 ft high during his introduction scene in the war. If fight scenes were realistic it could have been good.
• Story was kind of ok. Acting was not that great.
• Overall I feel like a lazy attempt. There was a scene where a baby was crying and we can clearly see they replaced the baby in next scene.
• It can be a one time watchable movie, but hard to give anything above 4.7/10

Degrade by fans makes mamangam as like odiyan!

I watched this movie because it is historic one but the director made it more predictable one.The first half with somewhat slow screenplay but Mammooty's women character really an excelent one.And coming to second half it became more dramastic.The fight scenes of unni mukundan and the boy was awesome but the fight scenes of mammooty was like comedy (last climax fight with siddhique).Climax fight could have been improved.

Verdict - This movie is a historic one and a one time watchable one because of lots of predictability.

Bottomline - As a Mohanlal fan when compared to Odiyan, Mamangam is more better one!

The entire film is like malayalam serial.the direction is poor.i realy wonder how this film cost 55cr budget and the fight sequence is also poor.the cinematography and other technical side is average.the mamangam event in the old history of kerala have a triller nature but script in this film was not done at that level.

There are many aspects in this movie and since its based on histoy the entire team needs an appreciation that their sets and locations are completely justifying.

It portrays the story of Chandroth Valiya Panicker who realises the fact of being incapable yet unable to control the successors not to follow the same path due to the myths ans beliefs. Very nicely portrayed by Mammokka...

Except those female roles, all the main stream character selection is commentable. Unnu Mukundans efforts and presence is really macho

The boy who did the Chanthunni character, hats off young man. Each scenes of yours are incredible.

VFX could have been improved but again Budget constraints also need to be accounted for this..

Recommended to watch this movie as a historical plot,...

During the Mamankam festival, Chavers (a suicide squad), went to the venue on behalf of the Valluvanadu chieftain. Their aim was to overthrow the Zamorin of Calicut. None of them survived, and this happened every 12 years or so.

This Kerala legend had enough material for an action-packed movie, but the filmmaker focused on creating an investigative thriller with Mamankam as the backdrop.

If you're seeking authenticity in this film, the gravity-defying stunts will dash it to pieces. It is sad, knowing that some of the finest actors assembled for this ill-fated production.

But what sells Mamangam, as a movie, is the conviction of young Achuthan B. Nair, who plays one of the Chavers.

Extra ordinary performance by mammukka as ardnari. Non of other megastars in india will not take this challenge. Big salute to director for not compromising on history. Have an advice to super star Mohan lal. Kindly advice your madfans not degrade this movie. Its a game changer movie for mollywood industry. Its not be good practice by you fan. They eill ruin you tooooo.

From mng I am seeing that degrade posts from and what's app. In that conditions I was thinking to drop plan to see this movie.But unfortunately my frd force me to see this movie and just now I watched from Arabian center.First I need to say that STOP FAN WAR It is a very good historical movie with good theme, VFX,story,acting, action & history.I am not a fan of mammooty or mohanlal...but I will say that there is nothing there in the movie for degrading...all the characters and stories are related from history and they made this cinema with their full effort.A 68 years old man who leads in the movie main character.. we will automatically saying that he is a legend that is mammooka....Unni mukundan and that boy chanthunnis character was unbelievable performance and the best film in their.entire careers and all the heroines also performed well.prahchi I didn't expect that she will be suitable to act this...but she made it...I didn't feel any bored or something wrong with this movie...it is a good historical movie and it is degrading with fan war.... Everybody saying that mammooty not in the movie like that...he is the leading and main character in the movie and he is in the movie from beginning to end .All the best for mamangam team...Good movies will never flop...This film will also get good ratings and everybody will starts to see this after a week same like Pulimurugan movie happened...so that from my side I am satisfied and I am giving that 9/10...class movie with good actions and historical story...

Very poor background music, weak direction, poor casting. A stage drama could have been better than this. Cliche dialogues. No wonder why this movie was utter flop.
