This live performance production was broadcast live to English cinemas in England from the Royal Festival Hall in London, England on 7th September 2017.
Tickets to the actual live stage show performance audience at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England on 7th September 2017 ranged from UK £25 to UK £100.
The production was produced to coincide and tie-in with the book launch of John le Carré's new spy novel "A Legacy of Spies" (2017) which sees the return of his much loved character George Smiley.
Alec Guinness loosely based George Smiley's look and behaviour in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (1979)" on Sir Maurice Oldfield, a former head of British intelligence. John le Carré also claims that Guinness "stole his hairstyle" for George Smiley.
Limited signed first editions of John le Carré's new spy novel "A Legacy of Spies" (2017) were available at the event for UK £30 which included a £10 donation to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
