A truly accurate representation of living life with a disability. A very raw realistic film that asks the tough questions! Get ready to be taken out of your comfort zone. The story behind this film shows what can be achieved with limited resources. I was fortunate to hear about it and see this at the Melbourne Film Festival. Chris Bunton represents a marginalised community. His leading man role is quite complex, Definitely not a Hollywood sugar coated film. Good to see someone taking chances, pushing the envelope and challenging the audiences. Chris' scenes with Jerome Pride are some of the best of the year. Having a daughter with a disability, this gives me hope that there are more opportunities and possibilities out there! A must see!!!

This one completely slipped under my radar. Took a few days to really sink in. It's a very unconventional and unpredictable film that really sneaks up on you. Took me a while to process it - it's a pretty layered and has an ending that really stays with you. For a small film, it's beautifully realised. Jerome Pride is outstanding, and Chris Bunton smashes any and every stereotype you can think of as the main character Danny.

Chris Bunton who co starred in the Australian comedy Down under and who was the heart and soul of that film.
Is given his first starring role in Kairos.
Kairos is a powerful drama that looks into the life of Danny a former champion Gymast.
Who now works as a cleaner at a boxing gym. And wants to emulate and train like the boxers in the gym.
Danny has wants to be accepted by people and treated the same as everyone else. Not judged , mocked and feared simply because of how he looks and at the same time needs to acccept and find happiness in who he is.
A powerful absorbing drama with an outstanding performance from Chris Bunton and grounded by the great performances of Jerome Pride and Deborah Jones. And great work from Gerard O'Dwyer and the rest of the cast.
See it at the cinema and support the hard working Australian cast and crew.

A sublime little piece of Australian cinema. Apparently this was made on a shoestring budget, but there is so much heart and soul here that it's easy to overlook some of the flaws. Slowly draws you in and builds to an emotionally charged finale that stands as one of the more bold endings to a film that I've seen.
