Quite Terrible
larrys33 January 2018
Set in 1881 in the Territory of New Mexico, this film came across as quite terrible to me. A woman (Jezibell Anat) is seeking help from a U.S. Marshal, his associates, and the good people of the town of Lincoln, to restore her rightful ownership to a saloon, which was wrested away by the greedy and violent new town leaders. Amidst all of that, numerous bounty hunters are looking to bring in, dead or alive, the outlaw Billy the Kid (Jason Cash) who is in that area.

Sorry to say, the acting here is the most stilted and wooden I've seen in a movie in a long time. Why this movie was even made is a mystery to me?

I picked this DVD up in Redbox, but I would suggest not wasting a penny on this dud of a movie.

I had to Laugh at about 25 minutes into this very waste of film, when two guys were riding in town past the buildings , and in the background there was a long building with about 5 windows , and they seem to have air conditions in them! has anyone else seen this.? Don't waste your time!

Save Your Money & Time
djwaynecribb3 January 2018
I found this at Red Box and wanted to watch it since I am a huge Billy the Kid & Lincoln County War fan. I knew something was wrong within the first 4 minutes. The voices do not sound like they belong in the movie. Everyone sounds like they are in a recording studio rather than in New Mexico. It is very boring and slow. More Christian talk than Billy the Kid. Save your money and time and watch Young Guns 1 & 2 or even Tombstone!

My Worst movie number 20!!!
elo-equipamentos6 March 2020
Sadly after 10.200 movies watched until today, I had a displeasure to watch this awful production, I'd many expectation to get another version of this infamous American outlaw Billy the Kid, it will joins with several versions on my collection, I stay baffled with so lowest quality production, starting on those stereotyped character off-colour, an old lady one eyed patch Lily decked with a metal badge, so kitsch, many white hair and fat old men and so on, also the photography is another blatant low point, on the night all shots hadn't enough light and a proper filter, looks like a home video, also the disconnected scenes, proving the a lack of a scheduling of the screenplay, made pell-mell as well, on a specific scene of the duel is laughable, those loud sparks gunfire, so much smoke, lousy sequence and the scenario is to cry out, some wooden houses almost falling down, unlike the Banker's house, a brand new one, fabulous paintings scattered on walls , modern couch, it didn't fits on old west, anyway, the very first western to receive from me the lowest rate!!

Resume:

First watch: 2020 / How many: 1 / Source: DVD / Rating: 1

I love all films, until I saw this production.
adamtheactor-9767710 October 2019
As a writer and filmmaker myself, I have always appreciated low budget films, and will give most films a chance, regardless of budget or star quality. Set in 1881, New Mexico, The Last Days of Billy the Kid should have been 70 minutes of enjoyable action, or at least dramatic storytelling. What it ended up being was the worst film I have ever watched. As soon as the film opens I could tell something wasn't right. The camera was hand held, not to be artistic, but as if the DOP was in too much of a hurry to set up a rig, or locking off the camera on a tripod. Handheld camera work can work well in film, but not as a time-saver. The acting from the start of the film made me feel uneasy, as if you felt anxious for the cast as they struggled to remember their lines. The delivery of each cast members lines were so wooden that it felt like they were students at a film school helping the director to block a scene before the real cast show up. Each performance was emotionless and not one actor even used a hand gesture or pauses before expressing themselves, the lines flowed as if reading off a script that was being held by a member of the production crew behind the camera. The sound was a huge distraction too. Sound is so important in film, and this was by far the worst I have heard. Consider this, a low hissing can be heard in a wide shot, but not the close up. Now a dog is heard in the close up, but cut to the wide it's gone, back to the close up and it's heard again. Then in most scenes the hiss is back, the hiss is the poor quality microphone that is being used, and therefore the sound recordist must have realized in post production how bad it sounded and asked the entire cast to come into a recording studio to re-record their dialog. This now spoils the entire sound of the film, because as a viewer we can tell the voices don't sound right in the environment they are in, it makes it sound like a Cowboy is delivering his lines whilst stood in a shower cubical, when in fact he is stood in the saloon. The music for the film also does not sound right for the film, it is very keyboard like, and sounds more low budget sci-fi than a western. The sets look like, well they look like old run down buildings that the Director has sourced and used for the film, but even then, there are no wide shots to orientate the viewer, it's all handheld framing that shows them all stood in a corner of a room or such like. A huge gunfight takes place midway through the film, and the guns being fired sound wrong and look like a cap gun fight between 12 year old boys and girls. I can't review any more of the film because I switched off at this point and threw the DVD in the bin where it belongs. What makes me so angry about this film is the fact it was allowed to be distributed. I am so passionate about movies, I have a real admiration of those who give their absolute best, and don't expect all films to blow me away, but this film was an insult to not only the viewer, but to those involved. The actors wouldn't even be able to use the footage for a show-reel to get more work in future productions, and for that they must be deeply disappointed. Whoever wrote the script must have been bored by their own voice, because the words spoken in the film don't help the actors performance at all, the sentences are jarring, and are so bland that I can't even remember a single line uttered. A script as you all know, is what sets the tone, what makes us feel emotionally attached to the characters and their story, this script does not do that. Whilst watching this film I was adamant that I would give it a chance and that i would make it to the end, I failed. Is this film worth watching? Yes for sure. It's worth watching as a filmmaker, to learn of all the things not to do on your own production.

I've seen great acting and production of amateur porn.
eminkl16 November 2019
This has just been rented from Redbox. Halfway through the first scene I began to believe it was a joke. Redbox should reimburse me for the $1.50, and pay me another $10 for the 10 minutes I'll never get back (that's all I've barely done through). I've seen great acting and production of amateur porn. Even for these people, my television is humiliated.

Some people should not make movies
gennymikel3 March 2018
The first few seconds of acting had me hearing "he's never acted before this is his first role". The shootout at the front was so obviously done with black powder blanks it sounded like kids with cap gun on the play ground. Lamest acting in the business, truly. The scene where the guy approaches the cabin has a backing track that sounds like a skillsaw being drawn across a Cadillac grille it is so horrid. Terrible acting, OMG. Imagine a robot "we-have-been-robbed (bleeeeeeep) o-mi god."

This movie looks like something someone got together with their friends on the weekend, got a camera from Amazon, some snacks and drinks...........???????

Bad. So horribly bad.
moviewatchinguy8 February 2022
I missed the first hour of this one on This Tv.

That's the best thing about it for me.

Any fool with a digital camera can be a cinematographer these days and this offering proved it.

Sadly, anyone who can speak can also be an actor and we have proof of that as well.

The entire crew should be ashamed of their involvement with this stinker.

Why was this made? We may never know.

I don't know which is a worse Redbox flop - this or American Gunslingers. It looks and sounds very amateurish. Bailed at 8 minutes.

Warning: Spoilers
The film centers around the battle for a small town in New Mexico territory in 1881 which includes the ghost of Billy's sister. Billy has an early cameo and then enters the film about 15 minutes from the end to PLOT SPOILER get shot, lie on the floor and flashback.

The acting was bad. Dialogue horrible. The camera angles and sound needed improvement. I started fast forwarding about 12 minutes into the film, cheating myself out of a hacker punch.

Just May Be The Worst Movie of All Time
jleonardiv22 December 2023
Where to start... Good grief. The acting and script aren't just awful... it's as if the entire cast is in some sort of half-comatose state or under the influence. They all have the same monotone, emotionless tone throughout the entire movie. Perhaps they're all zombies in early stages before the rotting flesh starts to become visible. If I had kids and I really wanted to punish them for something, then I would make them watch about 20 minutes of this "movie." I don't see how anyone can sit through the entire movie without washing their eyes out with battery acid and putting M80s in their ears.
