Some are calling this comedy; however, this is a very racist movie, plain and simple.
The main character represents a woman of indigenous ancestry, who is filled with negative stereotypes created through countless generations of the elite population in power. These stereotypes regarding indigenous woman and minority groups are part of the racist views on indigenous people.
This said, the main character represents a woman that is naïve, imprudent, deceiving, laughable, with questionable moral and violent reactions. Such characterization denigrates the image of the indigenous women of Peru tremendously. This is a disgrace.
