This is a "sister" movie to Miss Me This Christmas ...and in my humble opinion, better.
So I would advise watching that one first, then give it at least a day, then check this one.
It's light hearted and they've tried to stay away from the usual stereotypes of black movies.
Remember it's still a light lovable tv movie.
Overall it's a good watch and the characters are generally believable and even likeable.

Try fighting the boredom that is this movie...

So you can't fight Christmas huh? Well, nor could you fight the boredom delivered by writer Marnie Martin and director Kenny Young.
When I sat down to watch the 2017 Christmas movie "You Can't Fight Christmas", I did so without having the slightest idea what this movie was about. Nor had I actually ever heard about this movie. So I had virtually no idea what I was in for here.
But still, with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, and with the opportunity presenting itself to watch it as part of my Christmas bender this year, of course I opted to give "You Can't Fight Christmas" a chance.
Turns out that I was in for a story fully devoid of anything interesting in terms of storyline and plot. The storyline, as written by Marnie Martin, completely fell short of managing to entertain me in any way. And I actually ended up quitting on the movie way before it came to an end. I just couldn't take any more of the boredom that was "You Can't Fight Christmas".
And it didn't help much that the characters in the movie were as bland and mundane as a cardboard box.
If you enjoy Christmas movies, then there are far, far better choices readily available out there in an abundance. Take heed and don't waste your time on "You Can't Fight Christmas". Some of us did, so you don't have to.
My rating of "You Can't Fight Christmas" lands on a two out of ten stars.
