Good try but completely illogical movie

What did I saw? This movie has a good story modified from Armageddon. But the execution is completely illogical. Even a school kid knows how science works. But the director doesn't.

The graphics are sometimes excellent, sometimes better and sometimes very worst. This movie also has same graphical flaws as rest of Indian films. Why the graphical scenes are not locked to 23 - 24 fps?. Its running at 60 fps and looks very ugly. Avoid it in upcoming movies.

Now comes the loopholes: 1). The X space station and the protagonist space ship are not going for any interstellar probe. Till now space stations are held and moved at low earth orbit. So, if fuel wire is cut it will be still in LEO and not crash on moon.

2). Space ship crashes on moon. But nothing happens to it. Not even a scratch.

3). Earth size is smaller than asteroid size in graphical representation.

4). An army officer is killed in army headquarters. But no one cares

5). Hacking is not that easy. They are hacking instantly which is funny. And hacking shows no detail.

6). Meteor strikes the city in slow motion. It should be hyper fast.

7). What I'm telling here is nothing. Just see the movie and you'll notice a logical fail in every frame

Over hype for action scenes, no need comedies in serious movie, no need magic in space movie.

Music is good.

Thanks for not letting the protagonist fall into romance, songs, flashbacks which makes the movie more watchable.

Overall a good try but flawed by illogical facts..

This is India's first space movie, although there were lots of logical errors, I would still appreciate the efforts and for trying something new, instead of same old 'love mivies'!

Tik Tik Tik on the whole, is a definitely an engaging adventure with some fun moments and some flak, evenly spaced out. Watch this as a B-movie without complaining and you're sure to enjoy it more than you could otherwise.

Most of the space scenes are copied exactly from hollywood movies LIFE,INTERSTELLAR and bad CGI too. May be its just the beginning .Good luck..

All through, looking at the graphics and money spent, all I could think was "what huge money wasted!". The movie is absolutely careless and stupid at so many places. It felt so dumb. Giving it 2 stars because there is only one Movie that deserves 1 star in my books and it is called 'guru namma aalu'

Not too bad

The movie has so many attractive scenes that kollywood has never seen before. Hats off for the effort. The physics was not immaculate so the educated audience might see some glitches in the story line. However the director has done a fantastic job covering it up with his screenplay. Eventhough the commercial elements are unbelievable, the overall experience was amazing. Must watch movie.

There are a lot of fools who think themselves as the authority of science who just applaud Hollywood or Korean films but Never appreciate our trendsetting Indian films and actually " Tik Tik Tik " is a milestone in our Indian cinema and the makers had done so much of homework and made this film. These people they just think themselves as intellectuals and compare it with Hollywood films and don't think that it is a commercial film and the plot is something different from what mainstream hollywood movies had offered us,so watch it in that way and also the director gives justification for each and every thing happening in the movie especially the twist and turns they seem believable according to the incidents showcased in the film and many scientific concepts are also added into the script very well so that the viewer's don't get bored and at the same time enjoy those facts

Most nonsensical space film ever

Pathetic, terrible ,awful,garbage - these words seem to be really mild for this film. These kind of films are made once in a millennium. Yes, It is that bad. I am sure very few films in the bottom 100 can beat this, purely in terms of stupidity.

We have a team of 5 (unfit) astronauts to save the country from an asteroid. Can't they find some real astronauts for this job. Then in space, our protagonist can hear a secret message just by closing his eyes. The team is connected to the agency on earth 24 hours through microphones. They have a feuling station every few kilometres. The people at the Chinese Space Station are so evil ,they want India to be destroyed. And the people at the Chinese space station speak and understand tamil.

I rarely leave a film before completing it. But, this time, my brain was about to explode in middle of this film.

Rating it anything above 1 will be an appreciation for this film.

Illogical writing and a Torture by the Tamil Space Agency

Let me begin by saying Lol. Lol. Lol.

Indian Defense Office situated at Munnar Kerala has all the concerned officers speaking Tamil. *Claps*. Just like in every Tamil film (or Telugu) when a character goes to a foreign country, a random shop keeper or a driver or some helper speaks in Tamil or Telugu. Very Convenient.

The illiteracy and illogical writing adding the over-smartness in so many scenes throws away the entire film even before the Vfx can. When you try to beep out a word, you should remember to blur the scenes too.

So much work needs to be done to train an astronaut and here some street thugs do it like it's a piece of badly 'made at home' cake and don't even get me started with the hacking. Oh. My. God. What a load of..

The only good thing in the screenplay are 2 or 3 foreshadowing scenes which are 'not bad'. But then again the writer(s) mess it up with that too. These kids who made this film have never seen a satellite launch nor have spoken to anyone at Indian Space Research Organisation. Badly done research.

I don't know which film school kids made this as their film project. Let me end by saying even the Lol was a torture for 2 hours.

One of the best movie in Kollywood!

A fantastic Sci-Fi movie in Tamil, Its a brave attempt of the movie crew and of course their attempt had succeeded. Personally i felt that first time in Tamil movie the VFX are nicely crafted. must tell this: each one of them in the movie had done their part very well. Finally its worth watching --Don't miss it!

PS: Don't set your expectation level that you gonna watch "Hollywood Sci-Fi" movie, just go with an expectation that you gonna watch a good Tamil movie.

Nonsense in the name of Space movie

Being an Indian I am saving your time, this film is a joke in the name of Science Fiction. Please dont watch this non sense. If you are a fan of Hollywood space movies and expecting something from like this from your country, guess you will regret on it.. Its just loaded with a lot of nonsense scenes like any other south Indian movies.. In this Science Fiction movie, forget about Science, here you will see people romance on Defense Head Quarter and breaking hi-tech devices just by a punch on it.. This movie is seriously a COMEDY VERSION of ARMAGEDDON

Apart from the budget, new thought and though this is new to Tamil cinema, this lacks basic logic. If you have gone to school, you can relate what I am gonna say. Just because this movie is first of its kind, that does not mean it should not make any sense. Firstly, in reality, spaceship glides in space and don't require fuel. Even a small kid who went through the pages of encyclopedia knows this. And just because its fuel tank is leaking, it will not fall into moon's gravity. This movie is a total flaw starting from Niveda's free hair till the 200 ton nuclear missile. And talking about the missile, I am still wondering how the hell the director packed 200 ton into such a small missile, also how the hell did the crew survived such a nuclear blast on space. This is craziness. The director should have at least done the basic research. He should have atleast known that you can't park on moon for any repairs. And artificial gravity? Ha ha ha ha ha....

In conclusion, we can watch this piece of marvel once with some kids. Not more than that.

The movie starts with a gud thrill of saving the Earth (mainly India) but by the time passes, it just forgets it's own genre and does some extra fiction than science fiction. Although this movie has attained a name as ''the first Indian space film", it has not done much inside it's job. Especially those who watch Hollywood space movies and space enthusiast like me would feel not good after watching this movie.

For examples, Just sending normal humans to space after a two or three days simple simulation doesn't make them astronauts. It may take about 10 to 12 years to be an astronaut. But this movie has a different point of view.

Their timeline with the asteroid, their moon landing and taking off are all irrelevant.

Some logical errors regarding science such as,

• Maneuvering a space shuttle after it got landed (in moon's surface) like an aeroplane, that's not possible.
• Planning of entering & stealing a missile in a space station owned by some other country. Not even possible.
• Interstellar movie's spinning Endurance has an artificial or earth's like gravity explained in a scientific manner. But here how could that be possible.
• The film makers didn't think of the phenomenon of ''Pressure'" in the space shuttle. Most probably while entering and exiting the Dhruv's doors.
• A nuclear missile and that too of such weight can't be lifted or carried by a single human.
• Rendezvous around the shuttle and tethering in space in this movie is too beyond its fact.

The movie is totally a new try but it should need more concentration on its plot and these simple science facts.

First Indian space Flim!

The film is undoubtedly one of the best and the first space action adventure in Indian cinema.

Everyone remembers who the first man on the moon was, not so much the second and the third. Being first in India, for venturing into such a great task of a Space movie, Tik Tik Tik deserves some value and applause at the beginning itself.

Avoid this crap by all means. 1 rating is way beyond what i intended to give this junk. Crash landing on the moon?? Seriously?? No one even had a clue that the spaceship was nearing the moon?? Director bro.. you failed in science. Not us. Viewers are brilliant these days. They don't usually have time for junk such as yours. Shows you will go to any level to satisfy B and C but even they will spit on your face for underestimating them.

This first-of-its-kind space film from South India is a good enough attempt.

Like with his previous films, this time, too, Shakti Soundar Rajan tries his hands on a theme which hasn't been attempted in Tamil cinema before. Tipped as a first-of-its-kind space film from the country, Tik Tik Tik begins when the Defense Space Division team (DSD), which has Mahendran (Jayaprakash) at its helm, finding that an asteroid is on its way to earth. It is expected to hit the planet in seven days, putting the lives of four crore people in danger. They further learn that a heavy missile should be used to destroy the asteroid.

Horriel horrible logic. Either the direction team does not know the basics, i mean basics of how things work in space or they think the audience who come to watch a space movie are absolute idiots.

• India does not have a space shuttle, however they should have atleast made an imaginary creation of our own space shuttle instead of just using NASA's design
• Even if they used the space shuttle, it is simply not CAPABLE of leaving earth's gravity. Leaving earth's gravity with 5 people and the payload in it takes much more power.
• The chinese space station is in earth's orbit, the moon is far far away. On their way to the chinese space station, they face a fuel leak situation and this makes the space shuttle spin. This cannot make the space shuttle spin, come on people. Even though we assume that it spun, it simple CANNOT LEAVE THE EARTH'S GRAVITY BY SPINNING AND LAND ON MOON.
• Even if they land on moon (WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE), they cannot go back to the chinese space station which is in earth's orbit with the fuel left (as mentioned in the movie the fuel level is dangerously low)
• There are many such things that can be mentioned, but can be ignored because its a movie, but few things cannot be missed.

Garbage

Utter garbage. What is the director thinking about audience? Trash your degrees and go get some basic lessons about astronomy and things happen in extra celestial spaces. Horrible acting and pathetic story. Cheap vfx. Don not waste your time
