Annoying Sister Act
carolynocean4 June 2021
This movie was'nt bad , a decent enough plot , nothing very new but interesting all the same.

But.........the two leading female roles , Megan and Kate, who are sisters ,drove me mad !!!! Everytime they got together they turned into high pitched chipmunks that just could not shut up !!!!! And I won't even mention the pre wedding girls night in ! I just wanted to scream .

But I was curious to see where it was going , and, in the end ,for an " obsession " style movie , it was ok . Also good to see a male in the role of stalker for a change, and I have to say that Drew Seeley as Lloyd played that part really well, he is a good actor !

Mama knows
metfan4128 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Our LMN psycho (Lloyd) has a fixation on (Megan) from work. He follows her across the country as she grieves her fiancé's death to hopefully reignite their friendship, but ol Lloyd wants more. Much more!

After seeing how Lloyd is misguided and very close, and I mean close to his mother. We can tell he will stop at nothing to win Megan's love. He won't let Megan's sister (Kate) or her new boyfriend (Chris) get in the way of his and his mothers plan for true love.

Nothing new here, but the actors were all pleasant and the scenery was nice to look at too. A few plot holes, but then again we're watching LMN so that is to be expected to a point. If you have 2 hours to waste, go for it.

5 = Pretty Decent for a LMFC
bt698nhj28 April 2018
Standard plot #7 in the LMFC (Lifetime Movies for Chicks) playbook.

The actors are generally engaging for a LMFC, the dialogue is somewhat better than average, and I only noticed one faux pas (I'm sure I missed 10).

A "5" is a good score for a LMFC. Recommended.

Only watched it to the end because I don't leave things half done.

Warning: Spoilers
I needed two sittings to get through this gratingly bad movie.

The acting is poor, the script is trite and, at times, plain embarrassing. Megan's sister, a nurse, engages in a lot of try hard banter which really doesn't make the grade. Whoever wrote these jokes need to rethink their career path.

The best part of this movie is when Lloyd pops up at Megan's friend's wedding and starts making an impromptu speech. I laughed at that because of the inappropriateness of it, but then he had to ruin it all by announcing his love for Megan. (The bridesmaid dresses are very attractive, another part of the movie I enjoyed.)

The plot is ridiculous. It involves Lloyd, an old work colleague of Megan's who kills anyone who shows an interest in Megan. Megan moves to a new town after her boyfriend is killed (by Lloyd). Lloyd secretly follows her. After a while in the new setting, Megan lands herself a handsome lawyer and is intending to marry him. Lloyd of course tries to kill him but, predictably, he is only stunned and makes a full recovery.

The most pathetic part of the movie is Lloyd ringing his mama all the time to get her skewed dating tips.

Typical lifetime man obsessed with women movie
lmnclips27 October 2020
Decent movie with typical, overused and overdone storyline with a man who has an obsession with a woman character, nothing really special about this movie, would watch if you're really bored and you have nothing else to do with your time.

A Love-Crazed Nut Job
lavatch29 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
"Lethal Admirer" (a.k.a., "A Friend's Obsession") is all about how we judge other people. In the case of Miss Megan Libby, a character named Lloyd Munroe is a nerdish co-worker who will stop at nothing to keep Megan in his life. But Megan is too slow in recognizing the danger signs of a love-crazed nut job.

Women always sense when a guy is a friend and when he wants more than friendship. The film implausibly depicts Megan as so naive as to not see the signs that are all too blatant. The two most inconceivable choices she makes are (a) to invite Lloyd to accompany her to the wedding of her bestie, Brooke; and (b) to agree to have dinner with Lloyd at his home after his strange behavior at the wedding reception.

Libby's boyfriend Chris is equally naive when he witnesses a strange reaction from Lloyd who is fixing Chris's computer and lets fly with a zinger that Chris merely brushes off. Chris should have compared notes with Megan about her little "friend."

The phone conversations between the nut job and his dear mother really didn't work. The fact that Lloyd was a big mama' boys was established early on. The phone talks were repetitive and slowed down the pace of the film.

Megan's relationship with her sister Kate is one of the most interesting in the film. It is the quick-thinking nurse Kate who first starts to grasp the deeply troubled nature of the nut job Lloyd. The enduring bond of love between sisters will eventually save the day against a love-crazed nut job.

A predictable thriller
lisafordeay23 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
High School Musical and Another Cinderella Story star Drew Seeley teams up with Merry Kissmas star Karissa Staples in this 2018 thriller.

Megan(Staples) is engaged to her yoga instructor and plans to marry him. However his life is cut short when he found murdered. A year later and Megan decides to move aboard and meets her old friend Lloyd(Seeley) who worked with Megan in her old job.

However things take a spiral when Lloyd becomes obessed with Megan and wants to be with her. Will he be with her and will she get to marry her 2nd fiance Chris?

Overall it wasn't a bad film. It was nice seeing Drew Seeley act like a psychopath instead of playing the good guy.

Decent Lifetime Thriller
mjanssens267 April 2021
I've been catching up on a lot of Hallmark/Lifetime thrillers since being forced to stay home on and off due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This Lifetime thriller was decent and had a few good twists and turns along the way. Typical Lifetime film but fun and some of the cast members were very easy on the eyes.

Colleague is the wack job of the week
phd_travel12 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Drew Seeley stars as the wack of the week, a geeky tech guy who obsesses over his colleague played by Karissa Lee Staples. He carefully offs her fiance, she relocates then he offs her nasty new boss, injures her new boyfriend. Drew plays it quite well - he's not really that geeky just man bangs and a creepy stare. So he acts quite well as mama's boy as well. It's all quite tongue in cheek funny. The supporting cast is quite good too with Kayla Ewell as her sister and Brian Ames as the new boyfriend.

Worth a watch.

Psycho who thought he was in love!
NijazBaBs7 May 2019
Basically this is typical psycho love obsession like in many movies. He is a criminal or killer too. He could be mental hospital patient too. It's bit too obvious psycho, where on moments we can even notice that he is aware he is acting. That is bad. And bad is fake police sounds at the end. Although there was police, it was obvious that sounds are not coming from real nearby police vehicles, but was just random repeating sound. Lesson is to never mistake friendship in relationship. This is most obvious in introverts, shy, and asocial people. Normally they do not like friendship, so leave them alone! If they liked friendships they wouldn't be introverts already! It is our mistake, and not only of psycho or loner for what we he does to us, because we allowed him to think he is in relationship. This movie is also somewhat funny!
