It was painful to watch Harvey choose between his love for Paula and loyalty to Donna.
Whatever choice he made, he was going to lose someone important in his life.
I think Paula shouldn't have asked him to do that. I understand where she was coming from but their relationship was fairly new and it's a big ask. On the other hand, this is all Donna's fault. At first I thought she loved him all these years but couldn't bring herself to cross the line and risk loosing everything but after kissing him she said she felt nothing. So she ruined his relationship for... nothing! What really bugs me is that she kept saying she wanted to see him happy. His relationship with Paula seemed to be the real deal so why would she sabotage his happiness like that?!
The truth is, they both screwed him over. Paula forced him to make a choice he wasn't ready to make because of her own personal relationship history and Donna ruined his relationship because a stupid implosive moment that meant nothing to her.
Poor Harvey....
