Sex & Nudity

  • A man walks down the halls baring his naked butt.
  • A man gives oral sex to another man. Not explicit or graphic, but we can see the movement.
  • Females naked butts and breasts are seen
  • Women are seen showering together with their bare butts visible
  • A man gets caught masturbating by his partner in the shower.
  • Season 4 is alot more graphic in terms of sexual content, there is a lot more than there was in the other seasons.
  • There is a graphic sex scene between two men, frontal nudity isn't shown.
  • It has lots of intense sex/kissing scenes with nudity involving all different sexualities and some instances of incest, threesomes, prostitution, sexual assault. Couples are recorded without consent.
  • Sexual references- Gay Couple sexual scenes. Scene of oral sex between two men not shown clearly but you can see the movement for the same. Kissing scenes.
  • Threesome between two men and a woman in several times.
  • Brief nudity- Male butt are clearly shown in the series multiple times and some part of his testicles. A fully naked man.
  • Female breasts are shown during the sex scene.

Violence & Gore

  • Fight scenes involve scuffles and punches.
  • A teenage girl is murdered by a classmate. She is struck in the head with a school trophy, we see her fall to the ground and the bloody aftermath as she slowly dies - distressing.
  • A teenage boy is accidentally stabbed in the heart with the neck of a bottle by his classmate. We see lots of blood but injury is not too graphic. He soon falls to his death as he is loses balance due to his wound and a collision. The image of his dying and dead body is bloody and fairly distressing.
  • A violent collision between two opposing groups occurs in season one - not very bloody.
  • A teenager is knocked out and taped up for questioning by his classmate. He begins to beat him in order to make him confess. An intervention occurs as the classmate almost beats the boy to death .
  • A man who is tied up is abruptly shot in the leg as a warning.
  • A man is slashed with a knife across his abdomen as a warning - we see the wound which is fairly bloody.
  • The show includes some graphical details of violence like fights, murders... where blood really stands out.
  • Murder scenes are quite violent. A character is stabbed by a glass bottle by accident, another character is hit in the head with a stone trophy. Quite violent.
  • A murder anchors much of the plot, and we see a teen girl as a dead body, with the camera lingering on her face and pouty lips. Teen boys scuffle and punch each other at a party; sexual situations are iffy (a girl seduces a boy so her boyfriend can secretly watch; two teens conspire to entice a "virginal Muslim girl" into having sex).
  • The show revolves around murder so there are some gory scenes but not too dark. Violence such as fist fighting, murder, and theft.
  • Blood contents and violence, murder also a part of the series. Hard combat fights.
  • A teenage girl is murdered by a classmate.
  • A boy is stabbed in the heart through the bottle by his classmate. You can see massive blood content.
  • Some criminal activities are also included in the series.

Profanity

  • Language is in Spanish, subtitled, and cursing includes "shit," "fucking," "fuck," "hell," "ass," "asshole," "dick." Teens flip each other the bird. Language may also have a gendered aspect that bilingual or sharp listeners will pick up on, like when one character jokingly calls another "hijo de puta" literally "son of a prostitute" but translated as "son of a bitch."
  • There are also the uses of profanity in the series.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Teens guzzle champagne and beer and get sloppy at a party.
  • Drinking throughout each season.
  • Many characters habitually smoke cigarettes.
  • Valerio sells drugs.
  • Lots of drug dealing takes place across the series. Cocaine is taken by multiple characters in S2 and S3
  • Multiple characters overdose on various drugs throughout the show.
  • A large stash of cocaine is discovered, two teenagers decide to make a business out of it by dealing it at school.
  • One character abuses his medication for anxiety. He ends up almost drowning due to an overdose.
  • Heavy partying and drug use in Season 5 especially. (Severe)
  • Many characters habitually smoke cigarettes. Teens buy hashish from a dealer, learn to roll it into a cigarette by watching an online video, and then smoke it. At a party thrown by a girl's parents, teens guzzle champagne and beer and get sloppy; one vomits on another character and then makes a chancy sexual decision.
  • Lots of underage drinking and partying and use of drugs, drug abuse, possession of drugs.
  • Drinking and illegal drug usage and smoking scenes involve throughout the series.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Murder and assault are common themes throughout the entire series.
  • A woman is sexually assaulted.
